Hmm, one good thing about the pharples is that one time they gave me good sellable avain meat that got my out of a financial hole...

aside from the little spinny icon in the datapad, no. determining when a baby pops out is completely server side.

I think they should be very very rare if they have great effect on force users. I have no probs with having one more thing to tame. More critters = good IMO. And truly, if this little thing has effects on force users, it is not gonna have the same stats and resists as a Krayt for heavens sake.
Personally, it would be useless to me, but what could it hurt? Now, I know I have even spoken out about the validity of creating a stable (taking up the devs time), but I am coming around on that now that "immediate needs"/ "quick fixes" are about to be taken care of (I hope so at least).
I actually want a stable now lol.
I still dont want to be farmer ted though. All I am saying is give the ideas on the board a chance before you make up your mind on them completely.

I've just gotta say as the starter of the pharple petition:
I started it because we need more tamables. You don't like it, don't sign. Yes it is a serious post, not a joke. All animals under 70 should be tamable, this is just one petition. It's a damn petition, sign or don't no reason to go and make a thread out of it.
That's all I got to say, /wave.

Thanks for the replies all. I didn't think it was a joke thread. i just wasn't sure what the rationale behind the petition was. Yes, I know we probably won't get anymore dev love this year.My concern was that the devs would think that was what CH's mainly wanted, a baby pharple...but I know it isn't. I also am aware that the devs have told us many times that CH has been adjusted for the revamp, but who knows what that entails or when it will happen? I know we won't get any major changes this year. Yes the devs could make every critter tamable quite easily I presume...although there would have to be some accounting for the various stages of pet growth and mountability-Ipersonally would like to see many more tamable babies, but I really would like to see pvp-pet combat fixed so they stayalive for more thana few seconds. I hope you guys get your pharple (and a lot of other babies some day,) but if that's all we get in the revamp, then just go ahead and color me purple

Don't worry notwomasters, you're aren't alone. I'm just waiting for the pointy haired boss at SOE to say "Hey we haven't done much for CH lately, what's the most popular thread on their boards these days? Pharple you say? Okay then give them a pharple and remind me to do this again in a year!"
Regardless of the joke/serious nature of the petition and the symbolic nature of the pharple as a metaphor for all non-tamable creatures, it runs the risk making us look like everything is hunky dory in the class and we're just looking for minor stuff. Early on I was a pistoleer along with my MCH and I still remember how long it took to dig the pistoleer class out of the hole they dug by adding "and we'd like weapon twirl emotes" to the original correspondant request list.

If you guys even looked pharples aren't even on the correspondent list at all so you don't have to worry about the devs doing it, not like they even come here.

Having a Pharple would be just one of those cool factor types of things I look for in a game. They are colorful and adorable looking (to me anyways). If the original poster doesn't want one, then just don't tame one. I really don't see the need to put out a post asking for them not to be made tameable. More fun in a game is always wanted. Why would you want to stop the fun of some folks over something as harmless as this in all honesty?

I agree, no pharple as pets. I understand only one point which this might been considered. At chimaera pharples are rare. I move there a lot and i dont see them more than couple-few times a week. Otherwise they are just weak chickens.

Let me put a saddle on a Giant Pharple, and I'd be happy to tame one.
You could ride that thing across the galaxy and never stop laughing!

And you don't want them tamable because there weak? Hell get rid of almost all of our pets then.

A larger variety of tameables, including pharples, is something that would benefitthe professionbecause it'scontent directed at CH's. There is no viable reason to be against it, because A: It has already been promised, and B: Youwon't be forced to tame any new tameable.
That's like saying to Artisians that they don'tneed a wider variety of speeders to craft...

I don't see how adding more pets can be a bad thing. Its not a real fix, but atleast its a bone being thrown to CH. Does it change any of our issues? No. They are still the same.
BTW I've wanted a pharple since I first saw one. A flock of pharple standing next to my wookiee MCH!
