Just took my first creature trip to Dath

I got a Gaping Spider Queen:

HAM: 10900

AR: 1

DMG: 360-370

Ferocity: 9

Killler: 1

I am not a master scout yet...so I don't know challenge level...just wondering how my new critter measures up to Webmasters and such that I see so many posts about. Also if anyone knows more info about challenge level and special attacks I would appreciate the info!

I also managed to tame an Enraged Reptilian Flyer...funny thing is that it has no image on the datapad....just a block that says defualt image or something like that. I've seen posts that say other creatures show up in the datapad...does this effect the pet at all or is it just an image that the devs left out for whatever reason?

You have a gRaping spider which is different from a gaping spider (without the R). Why they are so closely named I don't know.

Webmasters are a little better because of their strong armor.

Queen is level 50. Nice catch

got me one as well am 40k from master CH then gona use the queen and my 2 webmasters or gurrecks ( btw i tamed all my pets i dont like to use those i dont tame)

of course wil wait and see how those CH changes gona affect us

Hunting for new babies is by far the most enjoyment I get from this game....I hope the upcoming changes don't negatively affect that too much....

I named the spider Lilith...thank you for pointing out that it is a gRaping spider...I checked out the Bestiary page on SWG Resource Center...and was looking at the wrong critter hehe...they are named too closely. Although the gaping spider had medium poison and knockdown specials....I wonder what my Lilth has? Ah well...I'll be watching the datapad closely till she's ready to pull out and try.

As for flying critters....It seems trick1 and trick2 are about the same to me....I do have a Perlek Ravager (Sp?) that does have an image in the datapad....interesting...the wings also flutter way to fast and it is fairly rough on the eyes lol. This is now my flying duo though...Drago and Scratch

Does this spider still spawn babies. I've run countless Gaping Spider Queen Lair missions on Dathomir this weekend and have yet to see a single baby.

Has anyone tamed a queen baby since the big patch where the other nice pets stopped spawning?

From posts I've read about extinct babies these are among them... Sorry.

You can get a gaping hunter, not the resists and size of a queen though but still very cool looking and sorta decent as a pet (9500 ham, 490 damage, light armor, 25% random reisists, poison, distance attack)

I've found Gaping Spider Hunters (actually misspelled as Graping Spider Hunters in game). I was simply hoping for a Queen as an alternative. The hunters are much more powerful than the normal spiders, but I wanted the higher resists with the queen.

The Queen doesn't have medium armor, why was it part of the nerf?

Same reason spineflap queens were part of the nerf and many other queen/king types. The nerf was a f-up, and the devs got lazy, decided losing a few AR2 creatures they didn't like anyway was a good thing and that apparently they didn't give a **edit** about the blow struck to tameable creature variety.

I have a Hunter anda Queen (I got the queen pre-nerf). Anyway, there is not much diefference. The Queen sacrifices speed and damage for higher hit percentage. I didn't notice much difference in the resists, but will look again tonight.
