just went through a total of 36 gaping spider queen lair spawns......not one queen baby

they are worthless anyway, but I found tons of gaping queen spawns out near the imp prison. My old rule was never use a pet that I could kill myself, and due to your lack of a good combat skill being mch/mr, you only have the illusion of them being good. I killed 1 lair myself using only a pre-nerf fwg5 and some good armor and doc/chef's buffs. I have not seen a single pet other then TMB's that are not total and complete crap under cl 50 other then the riverside mynocks that they somehow forgot to nerf.

umm...i think they're cool, i have always wanted one...so how about we just leave the fact that i want one out of this?

by the way, make that 42 spawns now

to each his own. i want an ewok. that would be the coolest pet ever. and yes his name would be George.

i keep a few worthless pets just cause they look cool or helped me get to MCH. with the +6 for stored pets i can do that though (thats one thing i like about the patch).

Fraid its pretty much the old case of the needle in the haystack.

Ive tried geting mishs for these things and usaly only end up with standard gaping spiders.

You have to go out and hunt around for the queens.

And pray there near a nest.

There bloody anoying to find, and you need at least 1 other person with you to blast all the spiders, in order to hopefully get a queen babie spawn.

Unless of course your already have some decent pets

I hunted all day on dath and found like 2 spawn points but stupid SOE kept despawning them cause of the time it was taking to solo em,,,, or in the 2nd case the gits shut down the server before I could get what I was after

same here man...i have yet to find two very important babies iw ant to get: gaping spider queen and thune grassland guardian...**edit** hard to find

i just saw a queen a few mins ago. i don't know the special attacks. i saw the post so i went back and got this SS.

Sorry for digging up the dead, but there is no more recent data. And this is a big issue for CH's who use real pets (not create-a-pet clones). The screenshot above says NOT TAMEABLE. On SWG Creatures, they seem to think is IS tameable though...as of NOW (May 3 2004) are Gaping Spider Queens tameable or NOT? And where can I find one? Gaping spider lairs? Static spawns? What are they found with??

they ARE tamable, they spawn around the dath imp prison and ns stronghold areas the most.

next time don't dredge up old topics, it confuses people. make a new one.

If only they had Light Armor, the GSQ's would be perfect.

Theyre still a beautiful and worthwhile pet to have IMO.

Who knows, Tivo? Maybe you'll end up finding a Bull Rancor Baby while looking for a Gaping Spider Queen Baby. We can only hope. 8-)
