For the longest time we CH have time and time again been told that the rarity of certain "mythological" babies is being looked into. I myself am not a rare collector but many are and it is a unique part of CH content. With that in mind I would like to provide the Dev team with some sort of statistical analysis of rare frequency. I am not the greatest math major in the world nor will I pretend to be.

So the data I would like from those who have hunted numerous lairs is:

Name of rare hunted for:

Number of Lairs Search:

Number of Babies Spawned:

Closest guess of total Parental types killed:

Number of Babies Tamed:

Whether the Mission can be found on Terminals:

Server of CH character:

Any sighting after server reboot:

Any SightingBeforeserver shutdown:

Best guess as to time of day you sighted any babies:

Lair resets:

Have you ever been KS'd while sighting a baby:

This format needs to be used for each type of rare. Hopefully we can draw of this our best information to any frequency of anything spawning, when it may spawn most often, etc, etc.

Pluto one question before I fill this out.....how do you want us to handle those rares that do not have lairs such as the Great Plains Stalker ?

Like i said would be good to know if the database keeps record on numbers and type of kills our characters has.

Also what id like to see, is once a our ch levels goes up the better the chances are of spawning a baby. AND for rare the more lairs or kills we get the better the chance of a baby.

List :

Bull Rancor, Dathomir

273 Lairs

type: 1 bull, 1 Rancor, 1 Youth..........Say a wild lair with just Bulls and 1 regular i really thought this was my chance....but no

Kills at night Eastern Coast America

no baby

Great Plains Stalker, Corelia

8 Spawns of 4 cats = 32 kills

Wild random spawns Around lord Nyax POI

Seem to spawn more in the East Coast morning , early afternoon And during Corelia day time

No baby

Arachne Widow, Endor

28 Earthen Mounds

Around the Research OP

Usualy 3 widows, 1 queen...up to 20+ spawns from the lair.

No baby....

Same for the Merek Death Head,

Smugglers Op

Mantrigue Screecher, Endor

Missions best Wild Nest South of the Research Op

55 Mission Lairs= No baby

2 Wild nest = 2 babies lol figures

Swamp Stalker, Naboo

2 Babies, saw a 3 rd just playing around last night...but no room

I alternate the rare hunts, cuz it gets too frustrating

Point is all these (great) pets are Master Only pets practicaly, at this rate i see more jedis runing around then any of these.

Lara,

Go ahead and list it if its solitary. Like the Thune Grassland Guardian. Although I saw a spawn of three the other day clumped together.

Thanks Trando. I put what I actually meant rather than the shortcut.

But some have given accounts of seeing babies before shutdown only to not find them when the server rebooted. Some of these are more useful numbers than others but it is also something to point out that if they have a Bull Rancor baby spawn at 3:59 AM PST then it really is less than fair to count that as a reasonable spawn time.

Closeset Guess: Rancors - 33, Bull -20, Youth - 26, Gnarled - 2

I did get a normal Rancor baby to spawn, didn't get a chance to examine it when it first came up as we were busy with 2 Rancors and a Bull Adult.

Name of Rare: Gurreck

Number of Lairs: None found two randoms with no lair

Number of Babies spawned: 2

Closest Guess: 7

Number of Babies tamed: 2

Term: No

Server: Eclipse

This was back in December when you couldn't find a normal Gurreck anywhere on Endor.

Both Screechers and Bull were both random spawns and lairs.

I'm not a Rares Collector either, but I have gotten one rare or two (the Rhoa Kwi guardian and Packleader) I'll insert as much data as I can remember.

Name of rare hunted for: Rhoa Kwi Packleader

Number of Lairs Search: 4 maybe 5, it took a while to deplete each lair

Number of Babies Spawned: saw 3 total I think.

Closest guess of total Parental types killed: 40

Number of Babies Tamed: 2

Whether the Mission can be found on Terminals: not sure, but I did this with wild spawns between the science outpost and the NSvs SMC battlefield on Dath.

Server of CH character: Bria

Any sighting after server reboot: I did this in one day, so no idea

Best guess as to time of day you sighted any babies: This was throughout the day, so I didn't see any correlation to time and baby spawns.

Lair resets: none, I was careful with the wild lairs and I emptied each one.

Have you ever been KS'd while sighting a baby: no, I was soloing them with my pets.

Note: at least 2 of the lairs also spawned Rhoa Kwis, which I didn't take into account. Also, I did these in one day, so the sightings before server shutdown and after reboot don't apply.

Pluto, what did you mean by" "Before " shutdown:? I don't think the others who posted got what this entry was for.

Hard numbers are good, and I'll keep an eye on this. Keep in mind, though, that you're going to need a huge data set in order to be statistically significant.

True, but this is a good start. We still need data from tivo though, he's one of the biggest (or best known) rare hunters in the game.

....and then no matter how hard we get nerfed, we still keep CH because we are still some of the coolest characters on the game.
