Why the hell do people expect me to mount and train there creature for free!!!! its like asking an armor smith for a full set of composite for free, or a weapons smith for a scythe for free. I didnt spend 4 months lvling ch just so i could make absolutly no profit outta it. Im just wondering what thoughts other creature handlers have on this. in my opinion it has to stop.

I enjoy training mounts for people, i love it when someone asks me if they can tame their pet, train it with commands etc, naming them. I do it for free, im rich enough so i dont need any cash from it. I dont see it as a money making profession, if i wanted to make money id become a doc and do buffs at coronet. I feel like im giving something back to the community after people have helped me whilst i was new to the game.
My pleasure to tame mounts!

Must admit I asked a guy to train my Gurrcat to do trick one when I didn't have the skills myself (did give him 10k as a tip though). I will happily train any creature if the ownerasks nicely enough. I won't if they just blurt out 'train my pet!'

I agree - it depends a lot on the requesters attitude.
"trn mnt plz" - they get charged 10Kfor it.
"Is there any chance you could train my Cu Pa as a mount please? How much would you charge for that?" - gets it for free.
To be fair I get far more of the latter than the former.

ok but the fact of the matter is im poor as hell im a master musician master ch and no one tips me when i play music. and everyone expects me tame for free. i swear i make a grand total of 100 credits a day from a bunch of newbs tipping me 10 credits. Ive always been a master ch i was one of the first masters on kauri back before the big nerf. and ive masters both these profession because i wanted to, im no hologrinder. but im just sick of not being able to afford clothing let alone anything else.

If you're on Farstar, I'd ask you to train my Mountain Dewback (when he's big enough)and then give you 10k
But I do understand your problems. I too was skint until I found that I could make decent pennies from selling resources.
I picked up Artisan and started surveying - I got a few wind turbines, a few ore extractors and now I've got clients who buy from me
I don't make millions, probably about 10k a day, but I make enough to clothe myself and still have pennies left over for pointless crap in my house!

My main is almost a master creature handler, and my alt is working on master armorsmith... coming from both worlds, I have to say this statement is completely wrong. On my server, chilastra, armorsmiths pay as high as 140cpu for good wooly hide to put into armor. That's 140k for only a 1k stack... You pay nothing to put a saddle on a pet.
Now, I completely agree that people expecting you to do it for free is wrong. But if they don't want to pay and you don't want to do it for free, simply don't do it.

yea but with only master ch most of the time it takes 20 minutes to kill 1 creature that drops the wooly and then my pets is almost dead aswell. and i waste all my pet stims on healing it.

Im sorry but its something only us Master CH can do so you should charge to do it. Im not saying 100k per mount but at least 5k, Free is out of the question un less its a close friend.I had one guy ask to mount his pet I told him 5k, he gives me his pet then says im not paying anything, I did not say a word just transfer back and walked away... u can bite my ass.. We CH get no love at all in this dam game and im sick of seeing other CH just live with it..
BTW - I have my data pad full at all times now no room to train pets for anyone, I make my money in other ways.

I tamed someone a Cu Pa today and fully trained it with all commands a master can give it, and named and mounted it. He asked if i wanted any cash for it, so i merely told him to tip me what it was worth to him
So he tipped me 10k ^^

Actually I have made a nice little side business selling mounts and training mounts. My big sellers are Carrion Spats. I usually sell them for 5K each.If people complain about the price I tell them that it is cheaper than a vehicle, there is little to no maintenance if only used as a mount, I have to strore it for roughly a week and it can't be permanelty disabled (yes I know there is a chance but if they wear it down that much then they should have purchased a BE tank). I will also charge people 1K to train their current mountable creatures. I tell them they are bascially taking 4K away from me and the skills that I have invested. Usuallyno complaintsonce I explain it to them. Remeber an educated customer is a good customer.

Well there are some player's out there that enjoy helping out theres in the game. If for example a game vet asked you to do it charging for the services might not be to bad , but for a new player in need of our help might not be that bad in doing for free.
So far i have been asked a few times myself not expecting a tip or something besides a thank you been lucky and have 10k tips 5k tips .
It all comes down to what you wish to do charge or not, but could look at it like this as well if it was a master doctor asking to train his or her no ch pet , but instead of a tip or something they would offer a verry good deal on full buffs in return for what you did for them. Something like this would be heck alot better getting full buffs for alot less then they are charging or even free depending the doctor. This could go for the other crafters and there services as well , all depending the moment.

You can train mounts at creature management 4, not master creature handler.
