I know htere slower than speeders but i like ridding mounts. Only problem is i cant outrun any creatures, it seam even gallop doesnt make me fast enough. Any suggestions?

What are you riding now and what are you trying to outrun? My Spat, Kaduuand Dewback work fine for me at a trot.

sorry for the late response
I am riding a spat, and I couldnt out run a Bol on dantooine, if i hit anything that wasnt perfectlly flat land i slowed down, only reason i out ran him cause the Bol didnt follow me over the river.

actually i cant tell you anthing about cupas or banthas - never had one by myself. but chickens like the spat or the kaadu are the fastest of the "old" mounts.
the type of the pet (female kaadu, bull bantha,...) doesnt affect its runspeed.
i am sure you can find the speed-list in this forum if you do some searching...
gonna get me a cupa and see if it beats a chicken but i doubt it..probly same speed.

I believe the chickens are still the fastest, with the cu pa being a very close second. Banthas were sped up considerably and I would use them a lot more if they didn't overlap me every time I stopped.

Cu pas are pretty fast when they're galloping, but I don't get the feeling of going very fast at their normal speed (even compared to a dewback). Now that these timed swoop tracks are going in, we can probably settle this debate once and for all.

Do BE'd pets have a speed modifier? Meening, can a master BE make a faster Bol than a Novice? Maybe I should ask that on the BE forums...

Well, I just got a wasteland cu-pa, and it goes up hills so fast I had to check to see if they added terrain negotiation for pets. It does not slow down at all on hills. It has become my new favorite mount.
Kaadus are ok, but in my experience all of the creatures are the same speed on flat land, and I have tried them all. Bigger ones give an optical illusion of going slower because they are higher off the ground. Bigger ones also tend to want to go up hills sideways, making it very hard to go directly towards a waypoint in hilly areas. Generally in areas like dathomir it is faster for me to walk because of terrain negotiation. (Although I may have to try this wasteland cu pa now!)
Bigger ones are faster in swampy areas because they don't swim, they stay walking.
I swear I could remember a dev saying all creatures were the same speed when mounts came out but I am too lazy to search
Well like vert said the races will stop this once and for all.

Spats are faster than cu pa I was racing a friend with my cu pa and his spat last night. My wasteland cu pa just became mountable tonight and it seems a little faster but I didn't try it beside the normal cu pa. Right now both animals are the same CL but the wasteland is already slightly larger with 8 levels still to grow. I didn't do any real mountains so can't commant on the terrain negotiation but I just like the cu pa ride because it is smoother and the animal looks cooler than any of the chickens
