i played for an hour, and couldnt stand it. Horrid graphics, movement bad; i just wonder why it took a year and a half to put out such crap. (I have always been a supporter of SWG, ive been here since launch, but i cant support this, its just BAD)Im quite dissapointed, well i guess ill take up tennis or somehting.

ok this is troubling for me since the graphics was always something i liked here
are you guys talking combat graphics?
or they change everything, characters, creatures, complete graphics overhaul?

wel it may seem trivial, but there are new animatins for firing weapons, and all the actions have a colored icon, making the hud very cartoony looking..you have to target a player to see their name..didi like the way the ham bar depletes, it's light red over dark red, so my first incap caught me by suprise..the movement is very snappy, not unlike the way it was, before they toned it down on a recent publish, still a lot of rubberbanding...the icons change color for your "wind up, cool down", not sure if this is the "cool new animations" the devs promised, all i can say is try it out,i did and lost interest rather quickly (1 rifle box)...

Kinda funny reading some of the feedback from TC-5. I like how Chuba's are death dealer's. A group of 10 people took on a pair of chuba's and one of them was incapped.
With that in mind, it should be neat to see a REAL creature, like a rancor or something.

under the current system, a chuba is a tough fight with nov marksman only...it seemed about the same as far as strength of creatures vs skills, the numbers are all skewed though, so the animals have more ham and do more damage, but so do you

been trolling the forums all morning, different professions and dev trackers...
since I havent checked out tc yet its all a bit grey for me right now
seems many old timers are comparing it to when the game first went live. if this is true I may like it, since I had more fun back then than I did in jan 04 on.
the cartoony effects and icons people seem to be in agreement on the majority do not like them.
since I enjoyed the game so much at launch and used to die regularly back then lol. one thing that we had at launch that we do not have now is free deaths (No decay)
If the game is going to be akin to this once more then removing decay for nov's would only be fair, once an elite combat profession is acheived decay can be added again to that character.
not sure decay is active on tc, probably not. but new people shouldn't be punished for a much harder game. As a noob once I was not punished there was no decay in 03 just black health bars lol.
just my 2 cents so far, from a non ch perspective lol.
my 2 cent ch opinion coming soon hopefully lol.

One thing no one here has said that I think wierd....no one has pointed otu that we should now be able to decimate groups of players with our 3 Flesh Eating Chubas now.
If creatures are that tough I smell a nerf coming on.

they aren't that tough..try killing a FEC with a cdef, under the current system..everyone is a noob on the TC...as skills progress, you won't hear about the killer chuba's anymore..lol

I know that hossp, but when you hear abotu 7 people grouping versus a guber and it taking all of them to even bring it down, then no XP is gained doing it.........now think of getting 5 master CH's together and puling out 210 levels of pets.....

To be fair I only got to spend about 1 hour so I need much more time to play with it.
So far i like it. The icons are a shock to the system but I think over time I won't care.
Combat is well, I'm still learning combat all over again so it's hard to say if the things I don't like are cuased by things I don't know or if they are really things I don't like.
There are some things I do like but I need way more time. My first impression is good so far but there is a long way to go before I would give it the full on thumbs up, the only thing I can really say is looks good so far.
Xp grants are not balanced yet, and i think some of the creatures will be getting a nerf. Right now there is only a few areas to find low level creatures and i'm sure that will change.
I haven't had a chance to do any CH stuff yet so, that's what i'm really waiting to base my judgment on. Right now it's all low level novice skill testing so I can't get a good feel for the "big picture".
I'll get back to you when I get to play it more, currently, i like it.
P.S = you can change your data to reflect 1-5 liked it. i'll let you know if I wanna go to the other side of that equation. It may be a bit early to gloat since it hasn't even been live for 24 hours yet.

also it's worth pointing out that there is only one planet that has noob level creatures on it ATM, they haven't made the rounds to all the planets to adjust the stats af all the creatures yet, XP grants haven't been "turned on" as of yet.
so it's a bit early in testing to start making assumptions about the overall power level of creatures. The whole idea of this phase of the testing is to get in there and test out the starting new through the first few skill boxes. It's just plain too early to know if creatures on live now that are trash will become uber noob killers.
