Thread: Best CH solo combo suggestions?

Hi,

My social gaming is sadly limited due to lack of time, having a demanding job, two kids and a wife.

Hence, I am doomed to the lonely ways of a solo gamer.

Anyway, I do love the CH profession and aim to keep it forever, nerfs or no nerfs.

What would the "ultimate" solo combination look like?

I am currently going for Master Rifleman. Better ideas?

Please post any (good) suggestions.

My only limitation is that I will reserve the points needed for master CH. Where should I place the remaining points?

Greetings from Sweden and thanks in advance!

I have Master Fencer, 4/1/0/0 in medic, and 0/0/0/2 in entertainer...this lets me use stim b's to heal my pets, with 387 rated stims I can heal for up to 900 at a shot...with the fencer, if I get aggro I turn on COB and keep pounding away, and I can heal myelf during the fight as well with the same stims...the dancer is for when I'm stuck in a dead cantina...go with what you like, I did some pistoleer/MCH/choreographer for a long time, you can make anything work if you're careful not to get yourself into more than you can handle...it's all in knowing your limits and those of your pets...

Check this out..

Pistoleer or Commando or Rifleman. All three give you that affordability of not using lots of Skill Points for Medic. Ranged weapons and such.

TKM works too.

Nothing is etched in stone until the missing combat rebalance makes its debut 6 months to a year from now.

I am a Master Creature Handler/Master Sharpshooter, Scout 4/0/4/0, Marksmen 4/4/3/4, Novice Medic 0/0/0/0= 0 skill points. Maybe shifting the other 3 lines from marksmen into scout you should still have enough to master both.

im CH 2/3/2/4; Rifleman 1/1/0/1, master scout, ranger 4/0/3/0; Novice medic and entertainer with one box on musician

since i got conceal shot i rarely use my pets on high lvl critters, i like em too much to see them getting hurt, and i can solo clvl 35 with bo probs (didnt tried anything higher yet)

with the ranger skills it is easy to find the babies im looking for and with mask scent on i mostly need to combat those critters i attack or NPCs, and that while im mostly riding a mount or walking

i like my combo, but i think about dropping entertainer, as i get nearly never hurt myself and get some more skills in Rifleman after i mastered CH

MCH and Master Rifleman, along with medic 2/2/0/3 and novice artisan. I can make and use wound packs, use stim B's and eat bull rancors for lunch averaging over 3k/hit on each creature in a mob using strafe2 as a master rifleman. Just buy lots of advanced brandy and advanced accaragam for mind and action buffs.

I solo all the time with this setup and love it.

If I need a mind heal a quick trip to Coronet Cantina and poof, instant heal.

Get Master Rifleman and put what else you can into medic. Your pets tank while you spam AE attacks and you have the ability to heal yourself and your pets using stims (get the first aid column). It's a great combo. I'm currently close to Master Rifleman and mid range CH and I can easily solo most things on dathomir with this template (enraged rancor lairs are a bit of a close run thing!). The only sad thing is that I will be slowly removing CH in the coming weeks to take up doctor. I don't really want to do this but my guild needs a doctor and i've agreed to be it. It'll be a sad day when I press the surrender skill button on the novice creature hander skill bar :-(

Lumpi,

You got to be the patient sort: soloing with conceal shot takes forever, or so it seems to me. Or, do you have a super-fast rifle? I once soloed the wookie by the Gungan sacred place on Naboo (about 14k HAM), and got quite bored in the process. And, the bugger incapped my trusty landspeeder which stupid me forgot to store. Luckily I got a kaadu to ride home with.

Thanks for the nice answer, please specify a bit on how you do the soloing less boring

Believe me I will wait until the last possible moment.....

As for rifleman this is what you do. Get a speed sliced T21.Go 0/1/0/X for concealshot (the right hand bar is rifle speed and is based on combat xp so that will just come as you rack up the rifle xp). Then go 0/1/3/X. This will give you the disrupter rifle at counter sniping 2 (aka Rancor Killer - it deals acid damage which rancors have low resists on) and flushing shot 2 at counter sniping 3. Then, pick your mission, send in the pet to tank and Spam flushing shot 2. This special is an Area or Effect (AE) attack that has a 4x damage modifier. From there go 4/1/3/X then 4/1/4X and then finish to get master.

The best part is it doesn't matter what missions you take, most things are in range once you get FS2. Whilst earning rifle xp you'll also get good CH xp as well. If you get diverse mission types the oppoprtunity to train new pets presents itself quite often as well.Make sure you are buffed and have a good supply of brandy and a decent pet when you hunt though, just in case they aggro you!

well it takes me 7 seconds between two conceal shotswith a laser rifle, something like 5.7 speed, but it has good max damage, i do between 1000 and 1500 per hit on a regular base, some times less sometimes up to 3000

and i maxed my secondary stats and have mind only 800, but can take one or two 10k HAM critters without a rest

Also....

... I know your situation as well (busy job, wife and a kid) and I still join the group hunts. Dathomir enranged rancor hunts are always good and I can get away with joining one for an hour or so then calling it a night. If you need to go AFK for a few minutes here and there its not a problem as the group continues taking down the lair while you take a seat a safe distance away. Just get to dathomir and shout that you want to join an enrangedrancor hunt. There are usually groups forming out of the dathomir outpost.
