Hi folks!
I'm thinking of dropping my M-Swordsman in nearest future to go for M-CH (since I'm finishing my M-BE template and would like to utilize own pets).
But I wonder what will I loose in combat terms? As M-Swordsman I can solo Vorritor Dashel lair without buffs (just whiskey) or Brackasetes.
Being an M-CH with best avaliable pets (either BE of tamed from the wild) - what will be my solo-ing level? (no additional combat professions).
Thank you.

just relying on your pets and not doing any fighting yourself you wont get very far. I think your best hope would be to BE yourself one uber tank pet 12k ham 60 kin resist and then another pet that wont survive long if it gets hit but dishes out tons of damage and does poison or disease.
All pets are sorely lacking in the damage area so your soloing level will drop considerably

I hunt with pets, but I'm right there in the thick of it with them to keep them healed. As long as I can keep the aggro off me, but if I get knocked down, things get a little crazy. Pets are no good for "Fire and forget 'em" combat. My heart sank when my first rancor ran like a little girl from spiders and I had to watch as he ran into a whole nest of them and they nibbled him apart.

Hi
you will NOT last long as pets have no damage output what so ever really, so you need to have a combat profession, for 2 reasons really...1: to stay alive
2: to help your pets out
only good thing about pets is you can use them as tanks to help take theagro from you, and the other is thay are yours ![]()

CH solo ability isnt much. Combat profession is really a necessity. There are players here that do without it, but it's not recommended. Rifleman and BH work well. Lots of CH/Pistoleers. Havent seen a CH/Carbineer, but I've only seen about 3 carbineers anyways.
Melee characters get a little shafted with CH, sice most MOB's will attack the player before the pet. With ranged you can back off outside aggro range and let the pet do 100% tanking, with melee you are going to be the target and the pet secondary damage dealer.
however, you just need a different kind of pet. Rather than BE for Tanking, BE for Offense. Dizzy/KD/Cripple (Crippling Strike is a posture down attack and will cause KD if Dizzy'd) and as high a damage as you can cram in would work nicely. I believe the KD attack with MHS is broken, so having Dizzy/KD/Cripple on tap would help you kill faster. Engineer in some Arachne Widow, Webmaster, Rancor, or Kimogila DNA and you might be able to hit 800-1100 damage per hit. Thats more than most weapons, though sadly that is AP 0 Kinetic. Against an AP1, 30% Kin thats still a good 300-500 damage a hit. Wont be doing the DWB anytime soon, but thats enough for Dantooine, Dathomir, or Endor.
I've found creatures work pretty good for lairs too. I hit for about 3-4K with Lightning Single 1, in between shots my Gurreck can do about 1000 damage over 3-4 attacks. Sending in a pet to attack a lair will cause it to draw aggro as long as it is attacking a lair. Which is pretty useful for pirates/faction lairs since they dont heal, and against creatures since more will spawn (if you are a resource hunter)

I dont belive this is possible. The most damage ive ever seen on a pet was just over 600 and ive never even heard of anyone getting 800 max damageon a pet with the current crafting system.
Wrong. Even if a pet could get a damage like that it still would not equal anything near the damage a TKM could produce even on a AR0 Kinetic 0% target because CH has no damage multipliers for attacks.
And just so you know. The KD attack for pets is broken to, it will not work on command

I loved PvE'ing with my pets while grinding for creature handler. Now that I have Master CH I am searching for rare pets on dathomir, and it just annoys me so much how much time is needed to call your pet and store it... on another thing is on bloodfin NOBODY MAKES PET STIMS! I swear I'll find a great plains stalker and bull rancor baby and a full suit of bounty hunter armor before I find a vendor on bloodfin that sells pet stims.
I asked a master BE for a petstim and he said that me asking him right then was the first request he's had for those in 8 months. CHs are all but extinct, like the jedi in the movies.
Anyways as a TKM I find it that I want to have two pets out that do disease and poisons as I sit back tank for them, only thing is I've yet to find those pets lol.

I have MCH, TKM and Medic 4/4/0/0 - so I am always close to my pets and able to heal them with Stim Bs...

Since you need to keep your distance - how do you keep your pets healed? And which pets do you use?
