Is there any way of locating lots if you don't have the waypoint?

if it's a house and you've declared your residence, I think it will be listed in your character sheet or whichever the one with your factions is in.

Do you mean "lots" where you have placed structures? If so, you are probably out of luck, unless you know the general area. If you do know the general area, you can run around and try targeting any harvesters/factories to see if you get an admin option.

My Bloodfin character's title has been stuck as "Master Ranger" for 4 months, even though I traded in Master Ranger after the profession badges came out. I've tried to change it to other titles and to blank many times, but I finally gave up. I still get/tells from total strangers asking if I can teachthem Tracking IV or Advanced Trapping III.
Go figure.

Not necessarily. My Starsider character has a declared residence, but on the character sheet, it says, "Wanderer", even when I'm on my home planet.

I mean lots as in harvesters. I know the general area I think. I leant an ex-guildmate a few lots but I need them back and haven't seen him for a while.

Most people would tell you to go to the geo caves and get some XP, tho that's a death pit if you don't get buffed and everything. There is already a guide written about that.
Otherwise, the best way to get XP, as far as I know, is to fight with your pets around the newbie areas. Once they are grown a certain point, it's kinda useless tho since XP is low as your pet is too strong for them.
Some are more "tame and release" which can be long if you don't find any babies to tame. But, you can get some pretty good creatures that way, I have to admit.
All in all, what I do personally is hunt with my pets while they tank, I shoot. And when you're just beginning, I suggest that you tank as well, as the pets might get killed in the process. Sad but true...

Welcome to the CH family, and we all hope you stay and become a contributing member.
I think it depends on your style. If you are a combat person I would suggest that you build you combat and CH at the same time by hunting with your pets and contributing to the damage. Remember all your pet needs to do is get one hit and be alive when the creature goes down.
If you are a crafter with no Combat profession then I suggest tame, train release. It is slower but you will grind CH XP either way. IF you are a TKM and are getting CH for pets etc. then I suggest you go to Dath, get buffed, and go after enraged rancors. You attack and then have your pet attack, it should harvest you some rich XP.

Yeah, if you have some friends go out to Dath and hunt some rancors.
It's best to get the first few blocks by hanging out around newbie spawns in Coronet, Mos Eisley, and Theed. You get 100 XP per kill, and as long as you loot them, they spawn right back.
