Thread: *Finally* I got my Bull Rancor!

I had a few hours before I needed to head to the BEAST Guildhall so I headed to Dath. On my way to the Sarlaac I found a pile of rocks with a Bull and a few others. So I popped the nest once until it stopped spawning and cleared it. Popped again until it just exploded with a ton of Rancs. 2 Baby Youths came out and I was a little dissapointed. I turned on my COB macro and after it kicked in a few more spawned, including a yellow. My heart began to race as I tabbed to it and saw that it was indeed a Bull Rancor (baby). I ran to it and it attacked me along with around 15 rancors. I was able to shake them off and try taming again. After many fails the baby attacked me again. This time I ran again but I did not notice that a couple of Malklocs were in my path until it was too late. The Baby began attacking them to my horror! I ignored the herd of Rancors attacking me and proceeded to attack my Malkloc and /taunt the other to pull them away. The Bull Baby was at 1/2 life (thank God their full strenght now!) so I was able to kill both Malklocs, the 3 Rancs on me, and barely survive with around 200 life left. After healing, I ran after the Baby and it took about 4 more fails until I finally tamed him. I could not be more happier!

Grats I got mine after getting knocked off my bike by a gank squad of nightsisters. Finished them off and turned to examine the ruins of the bike and guess who was looking me in the eye. Somtimes there is justice in swg

So what is so good about the bull rancor pet?


Does it have good stats? screenie plz


Or because it is so very rare?

It is an exciting tame and a difficult pet to get to spawn takes time and effort. A bull rancor hits AOE and can ruin an attempt at tapping a lair. I spent three days working some lair to get mine. Now if I can just get my last 3 abilities all L3 group 4 I would be in heaven. I have yet to see a gaping spider queen baby, and the soldier mites are being stingy too, must be on norplant.

grats on the find.


I went looking for one "Again" today and couldnt even find an adult, But i did meet a NS ranger that was nice enough to customise my swoop and gave a quicklift to the starport.

I have been searching for almost 2 years now. 1 solid year doing nothing in game but hunting bulls.

Back when you could get a 30k bull rancor mission I used to do 10-20 missions a day sometimes without seeing a baby. I know 4 other ch's that have one three of them just happened upon the baby and 1 used the despawn - respawn trick but he worked on the same 2-3 adult spawns for a few hours.

I just tamed my first Bull Rancor, last weekend. I used the Despawn-respawn method for about 3 hours until the baby finally showed up. There were tons (really 6-7) of Baby Rancors/Rancor Youth (Baby) that were tamed also...

I hate to give the evil response to all of this but I have to.


I stumbled onto my Bull Rancor inadvertantly immediately after making master.


Figured I'd go see what's on Dath. I was close to finishing L1 specials and wanted to start on the others so I grabbed some of the bird-reptile things and some bugs...came bumming over a hill...and sitting right in front of me on the mesa...Bull Rancor (Baby). I remember you guys hooting and hollering about them so I /tame...and grabbed it in two attempts.


(NOW STOP THROWING THOSE TOMATOES AND EGGS AT ME)


I still haven't found stoneskin or GSP yet. And I can't seem to get one of these blood boar bear thingys either.

Still looking for my bull & stoneskin I tamed a screecher a few days ago but without its plague strike its less apealing to me so I may not keep it.

That's a great story, fyi. Hard earned trophy, there. I got Master a few months ago and have been searching on and off ever since. I would count myself lucky if I managed to get one at this point. I know people (like the poster) who have been searching since Day 1.
