True, but Rancs are my favorite in the game and I wanted one since you could tame them. While it would be nice to still have Plauge Strike, I'm sure I can turn it into a good tank pet
I thought they replaced it's Plague Strike with a standard area effect attack.

I'm not sure since I have only used him to kill a large Meatlump camp near my house. But I think it did an AOE since a bunch of them aggro'd him since when I solo them only one at a time will attack me.
