Thread: Am I the only Player who enjoys CH? Post here if you like to play ch :)

I have been playing since beta and I strongly believe that the rebalancing being done will make the game better in the end. I have mastered Artisan, Scout, Merchant, ID, Marksman, Commando, one box away from brawler and 3.5 boxes from CH.I am proud to say I have done that with a family and playing only 2 hrs or so a day if possible. Stating that then I can begin to make my call for people to chill out and enjoy the game. I remember when there were no mounts or vehicles and we had to run everywhere. I also remember when the Ch tree was too powerful for dabblers. All of that has been fixed now. I have also heard the complaints of pets not powerful enough and disaggree. As a 4224 nov ch, I can ride my lvl 18 bol w/ my gsp following and take care of alot of mean and dangerous mobs. Once mch, I will be able to have a mount and two gsp's out, in my opinion, If you have a basic understanding of the game then you can be pretty tough! What about pvp you say? Well, I have a lvl 24 be bantha that is 100 resist to acid, flame, and like 45% kinetic resist. I used in pvp and I won very decidely. (mind you that I only pvp when defending base because I feel it takes up valuable character development time) I also have a razor cat that has spec move stun attack and strong disease that has made me victorious a few times also!! About the 15 sec delay, what is the big deal?? I am just happy that we don't have to use camps anymore and it seems like a fair thing.
I know I will be flamed to no end but I believe that the game is alot of fun and would suggest that anyone who remotely enjoyed Star Wars and mmorpg's would greatly benifit fromplaying this game. I am here to say I love ch and although my holo has been silent, I will continue to master prof's, but I will keep mch once I achieve it as long as possible! To the TH haters I say, try to understand what kind of junk he has to listen to day in day out,people need to realize that he is a corespondent and not the lead developer,all he can do is take suggesstions to the next level, he is not the president of the company so give him some slack. It is not a wonder that he does not respond to some threads the way people talk about him and treat him. I appeal to all of you!! Chill out!!
So I say, is there anyone out there who like to play this game and Ch as much as me, If you are out there and you like ch and have fun like I do then pls post here, if for no other reason than to bring some lvl of positivity to the boards!!

I love CH but I'm begining to think that maybe I should move on to Doctor so I can be self suficient in the long haul. my pets for the most part slow me down as a master TK and I'm using them less frequently. I'll never say a bad thing about ch it was my first profession I fell in love with, but thanks to the structure of the game in order to have fun you need to keep constantly changing, one thing I dislike about this game....

I love MCH as well... doing holos now, so if i get something that forces me to drop Master... think i might say screw the jedi

Been an MCH since before the December CH patch and still am. I love it and couldn't think of giving up my pets. Now, as far as the PvP goes, I gave up on it, until I master rifleman, and the combat balances take full hold. Learned very hard that a Defensive stacked, buffed, Master Rifleman is invincible. He held up 15 of my guildmates as we tried to defend our base and was untouchable when he was holding his rifle. He chewed through all of my level 50 pets like butter. Not worth the loss of vitality. And, this went on for 2 hours before I logged off.
But, I still love being MCH and the ability to solo and adventure on my very limited gaming time.

/sign. MCH, it was my first and last holo. I am loving it, like every other profession there are issues, all you can do is bug report it and play the cards you have. To cometo the boards thinking "If I scream crybaby the loudest someone will do something" is at best moronic and overall pathetic. Especially since it all narrows down to a bunch of people that wants to be feared by other players, guess what...it'll never happen, it's just a game.
To all you excessive whiners, You're not the center of the universe, not even this binary one, get over it.

I have been MCH for umm... when was the big patch that moved transfer to MCH? Well.. since before that patch. I wanted to take just enough CH to be able to use a Grand Wrix pet I bought just before the previous big CH patch. And I got hooked.
And I love it.
Lots.
It's an addiction, really, and one I don't want to give up.
I am also holo grinding, and I won't give CH up. I can master any other one profession except BH while keeping MCH. And I found MD/MCH to be a killer combo. Imagine a critter with darned near infinite Health and Agility.
I also have a VERY hard time giving up old pets. I wish there was some way you could retire them to an uncallable deed, so I can put them in my house. But.... I am working my way up BE and will need to retire some of my old ones for the new babies I make myself.
Toward that end, I will be retiring some natural tamed Grauls, Graul Maulers, GSP's, Grand Wrixes and various other assorted. SO if you are on Kettemoor and looking for fully trained critters, I will be looking to send some to good homes. Just send me an email in game.

I too am enjoying the CH profession, I am low level (1/1/1/1) but my Novice Ranger/CH character is great fun. I use my Ranger Skills to track Babies andtame them. I also use my Pets against tough creatures out in the wild, setting up my advanced camps to heal.
While I am enjoying this, I have given up on any notion of PvP as you just cant compete against Buffed opponents and also making any money whatsover from the profession, I now just give low levelpets to Noobs for free as there is no market for selling non BE pets.
I was also a bit miffed at Bio Engineers producing far superior pets to onesI can tame UNTIL I read what is actually involved in making a Bio-Engineered pet, good luck to them I say. Its far easier and much more fun to track and tame wild creatures than to Bio-Engineered one so I think they deserve their credits.
The only trouble is I've become really attached to my Level 5 pet "Colin Cu-Pa" and dont want to let him go, even though he is far too weak for anything - and people say they are just weapons hmph!

I am 3 3 4 4 and looking forward to mch! i saddled my 1st bantha tonight and i gotta tell you they look awesome , ill be using this rather than a vehicle while finding babys.

Even though I'm leaving the game on 28 March, it's not because of the CH profession or its specific bugs and nerfs. I really enjoyed the class and the interactions on this portion of the SWG boards.
I'm leaving primarily because the SWG dev team has repeatedly demonstrated they are sans clue across the board, not just with respect to the CH class. Like everyone else going in, I had high hopes for this title - how could a MMOG based onStar Warsnot miss? Well we know now that not only is missing possible, it happens way too regularly. I've ranted, whined, b*tched, moaned and complained in the appropraite forums, along with everyone else, time and again and to no avail. The only thing left to do that will have any effect is to vote with my dollars by taking them away from SOE. Ok so I put a nano-dent in their revenue stream - it's better than the alternative.
For those of you having a good time with CH and/or SWG in general, great! Keep having fun! Really!
For the rest of us, see you in WoW.

I have been MCH since Oct. Love the profession and hate the playability. If you play 2 hours a day thats cool. You can likely walk away and not give a care about the profession. You are just that a casual gamer. You play when the mood hits you. It really is fine trust me, I wish I could do that. In many ways I do it more and more. Once I find it easier to walk away, I will find it easier to leave.
We have issues that those of us who are hardcore gamers will not tolerate. A 15 second timer in your 1-2 hour play period means you pull pets once or twice. You have lost virtually nothing. Those of use playing upwards of 8 hours a day are losing much more. You pull two to four missions and log out. We are constantly plagued with pathing issues, autostores, mounts not following, /tellpet not working, specials not working, ranged not working, the inability to PvP. You really hit the nail on the head though. In large groups your life expectancy is longer. Try one on one PvP. Try going agaisnt a TKM. You are not challenging yourself at all.
A casual player most likely does not care about a niche or economy. That is not your fault. We have been shoved to the Island of Misfit Toys. We are broken and forgotten. The Stratics chat only mentioned Droids and GCW tonite. Oh yeah and more mystery about Space Expansion. One dev said he shot down Y-Wings all day. No wonder we have no fixes.
I have been a MCH since around mid October. Five months of the same bugs over and over and over. You have been through many professions and have likely tried each and every one out, enjoyed them, then tested something new. I am happy your gameplay works for you.
Some of us love the realm of Star Wars Creatures. Just like some DE love Droids. Each has their place. Each has their role. But we got nerfed to make people quit crying. We did not get any fixes for long term problems. When you have been a MCH for 5 months then come talk to use.
The fact you have played since Beta has no relevance on the current state of the CH profession. For every one of you new about to become master CH's 2-3 have already walked away. If you are happy playing then that is cool again, but do not downplay the seriousiness of the bugs and the commitment to which hardcore CH's have devoted to their fixing.
If I were happy playing the game I would not even have time to grace the forums. The joy I get from this game is expressing my serious contempt for TH, Rune, and Blair since he is obviously a part of the problem as the bugs/issues/live specialist. If they fell of the face of the earth tomorrow this game would lose nothing, but would gain a chance for some creative person to attempt to fix it.
I am sorry. Look enjoy your game. If you do not want to help make it better that is cool. I just hope you pick a new profession quickly.
