I have been MCH since Oct. Love the profession and hate the playability. If you play 2 hours a day thats cool. You can likely walk away and not give a care about the profession. You are just that a casual gamer. You play when the mood hits you. It really is fine trust me, I wish I could do that. In many ways I do it more and more. Once I find it easier to walk away, I will find it easier to leave.

We have issues that those of us who are hardcore gamers will not tolerate. A 15 second timer in your 1-2 hour play period means you pull pets once or twice. You have lost virtually nothing. Those of use playing upwards of 8 hours a day are losing much more. You pull two to four missions and log out. We are constantly plagued with pathing issues, autostores, mounts not following, /tellpet not working, specials not working, ranged not working, the inability to PvP. You really hit the nail on the head though. In large groups your life expectancy is longer. Try one on one PvP. Try going agaisnt a TKM. You are not challenging yourself at all.

A casual player most likely does not care about a niche or economy. That is not your fault. We have been shoved to the Island of Misfit Toys. We are broken and forgotten. The Stratics chat only mentioned Droids and GCW tonite. Oh yeah and more mystery about Space Expansion. One dev said he shot down Y-Wings all day. No wonder we have no fixes.

I have been a MCH since around mid October. Five months of the same bugs over and over and over. You have been through many professions and have likely tried each and every one out, enjoyed them, then tested something new. I am happy your gameplay works for you.

Some of us love the realm of Star Wars Creatures. Just like some DE love Droids. Each has their place. Each has their role. But we got nerfed to make people quit crying. We did not get any fixes for long term problems. When you have been a MCH for 5 months then come talk to use.

The fact you have played since Beta has no relevance on the current state of the CH profession. For every one of you new about to become master CH's 2-3 have already walked away. If you are happy playing then that is cool again, but do not downplay the seriousiness of the bugs and the commitment to which hardcore CH's have devoted to their fixing.

If I were happy playing the game I would not even have time to grace the forums. The joy I get from this game is expressing my serious contempt for TH, Rune, and Blair since he is obviously a part of the problem as the bugs/issues/live specialist. If they fell of the face of the earth tomorrow this game would lose nothing, but would gain a chance for some creative person to attempt to fix it.

I am sorry. Look enjoy your game. If you do not want to help make it better that is cool. I just hope you pick a new profession quickly.

See, if all your points were presented in a calm friendly manner like this post I am sure you would get a better response. I am gonna admit I have not read every post you've ever made but those I have read were nothing like the above. You DO have valid points, you DO know what you talk about, it's just the WAY you say it. It's a big difference between giving critic and whine. I am sure you started posting like above, airing your views and so on but got frustrated when you felt nothing happened. And that's when you're no longer helping the profession, just putting yourself on the Devs ignore list regardless of how valid points you have. It's human psychology.

I haven't been a CH for 5 months, only 3.5. I'm not a casual gamer, atleast not the three last months. Most days I've played 8 hours minimum (I have very little to do right now) and I agree there are issues. I agree that when a game has been live for this long you would think there would be a tad fever issues. But there are issues and they can not be solved all at once. So we've waited for a long time andwe'll probably have to wait awhile longer but take it easy and your critic will make a difference. Personally I feel the best thing they can do right now is to wipe all the nerfes they've made and completely rebalance the whole system, and maybe that's what they're doing for this next patch, surely sounds like something similar atleast. If we think it sucks we put on a nice smile and inform them that the new system is abit drafty and tell them why we think so. That's all we can do to change it.

I do like being a MCH very much but it cannot be denied that it need a lot of fixes. With the latest workarround: getting out your pet without a campsite it takes away a little of the frustration fromthe disapearing pets. I must say I do not PvP and do not care about money. Only just getting enough moneyfrom the mission terminals to buy good rifles, food and medicine. I can imagine the if you like PvP or being a money machine CH is not the right decision. Butwalking/rinding around the planets with my pets and a beerbeside the keyboardreally makes me feel good.

Freth:

I hear you, I can completely understand the why's. Unfortunately the why's make no difference, they very seldomly do. If you piss someone off, regardless of who, when and why, they stop listen. It's very simple, and frustrating, but it's how it is. I know he has good points, that's whyI brought this up, I rather see them be heard than ignored.

Been an MCH for 'forever' (8 or 9 months, something like that)- wanted to play a CH from the start, don't want to stop .

I'm honestly confused. It's pretty clear some people have major problems and issues with the profession, which I personally just don't experience. My pets can happily munch the mobs, pathing is far better than in any other MMORPG I've played - EQ (Mage), DAOC(Elementalist), UO(Fighter-mage),NC (Droner), AO (Metaphysicist) - there's a common theme here......!

I suspect a lot of the griping is down to unrealistic expectations, both in regard to the game technology (moving across server boundaries always causes problems) as well as game balance and unwillingness to experiment (Try this: get multiple CH's to 'befriend' pets to the toughest fighter in your group, or just use the 'guard' and 'follow them' commands. Hang loose and chug beer - can you say "one man army"? No C&C problems and auto-lockon weaponry,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,).

Profession breaking problems? I'm sorry - I just don't get it.

Are you kidding I love Creature Handler. Its become a challenge for me to figure out ways to maintain Master Creature handler and do other professions. I've now settled on MCH, Master Pistoleer(soon), Master Scout and Novice Ranger.

I cant figure out why people would want to give pets up for any reason. They go on the missions I choose. Fight when I want them to fight and protect me when I'm running and not paying attention. Good God everyone complains when there are some glitches like disapearing pets. Runaway pets. Pets going at wrong targets. Ive been killed more often in groups when people would aggro a whole herd of Mob's. Or they have targeted a different on thean me. Not only that Pets never steal my loot.

I'm enjoying it pretty well myself. Out of all the professions I've done so far I'd put it in the top 3 for fun factor.

I love and hate CH at the same time. It's incredibly nifty having these "powerful" creatures at my command, but the truth of the matter is that they are in no way "powerful" in the aspect of the game I enjoy(ed) most: PvP.I mean, does it really make sense that a guy can punch a fricken dragon (Kimogila reference)to death without getting even a little scratch? In a matter of SECONDS?! But then again, that is a 'game-wide' problem..not just CH.

I love CH, it has sucked of late because people keep asking me to mount their pet. Strange, strange people.

I love Creature Handler, I find it odd that I hadnt had any problems with pathing or auto store until last week when they started uploading publish 7. All the bugs with mounts Ive experienced from the get go and I've been a CH for about2 months or so. I love the profession and refuse to give it up, my main gripe is that Petsdo too little damage IMHO. I thinkif they did better damage things wouldnt be quite as bad combat wise. I dont see any reason pets should not be able to go toe to toe more often, even in PvP.
