Has anyone noticed the special attack commands are working now?

I was rancor hunting in a group with my Gurreck trio hunting pack today (Im a MBE as well as an MCH on Chimeara). Anyway things were going a bit slow so I decided to dust off my SP1 and SP2 command buttons. Pressed em both one after the other. All three gurrecks pulled off blinding strike and intimidation against the current rancor!

I tried again straight away with the same result!

At this point I decided to spam away with those specials and my gurrecks followed. No delay between attempts. Every hit that they made was a blind strike or an intimidate. Looks like the devs have fixed it.

Anyway pulled out my other trio. These ones have ranged attack with dizzy strike and strong poison. Tried again.

The dizzy worked every time but the poison didnt. Looks like poison is still not usable on command. I supect disease will be the same in this case.

Has anyone else tried different specials?

I know dizzy works. If crippling strike or knockdown work too the CH might be making a pvp comeback...

Yeah the bluurgs with dizzy strike have ranged attack. They used dizzy strike on command every time even from range.

Really? I'm going to go test this ASAP.

Odd how the Devs always tell us about nerfs, but don't mention fixes. It would really help their popularity if they told us when something got fixed.

Yes, specials are working alot better now. however my bio pet with Med/Strong Poison combo still seems to be random.

My word, it's true! I've only tested my crimson razor cat against imps so far, but it's worked pretty flawlessy. My impressions of this patch have gone from total mediocracy(sp) to pure bliss!

Has anyone tried ranged attack yet?

Think poison and disease work abit differently than the other special attacks since it's a DoT attack. My gaping spiders did the poison attack when I initiated combat with it, didn't try it after that.....their ranged didn't seem to work though but maybe I were just out of range or something.

Once again, yes ranged attacks do work with specials. My bluurgs pull off ranged dizzy on command every time.

I dont think poison and disease work on command though. These may still be random.

Im gonna make a pet with crippling strike / knockdown today to see if these specials work on command.

If they do I will be making a new line of pets!

Once again well done devs for fixing this. Makes being a CH much more fun.

Interesting they didnt say it was fixed, but then again they never admitted it was broken...

Well done anyway

Well guys I have made my knockdown / cripple strike test pet. I also found a nice Teras Kasi Master who didnt mind being experimented on.Thanks Ack-ock.

What I found was knockdown doesnt work at all. It doesnt do anything if you tell the pet to use it. It was broken before and looks like its still broken.

However crippling strike does work.

I can spam cripple strike and my pet was happily hitting Ack-ock with posture down on every attack.

Ack-ock explained to me though, that a target has a timer that needs to count down before you can effect a posture change on it again. Guess TKMs would know all about this with their knockdown attack.

But the good news is I was getting a Teras Kasi to kneel quite regularly even though he had 40 defense against posture down.

Im off to look for DNA that has cripple strike and dizzy strike now.

Er guys you know you can only have ranged attack in certain skins?

As a BE if I put ranged attack into a cat form it never gets used. Even worse sometimes it attacks from range but doesnt actually fire. Which means a kitty sitting 20m from the target doing absolutely nothing.

The only skins that I have confirmed use their ranged attack are bluurgs and kwis. There are probably others but probably not that many.

The bluurgs and kwis with ranged use it every time I tell them toattack. Unless they get too close in which case they use melee attack.
