Thread: Best Support Job for CH?
I find pistoleer to be a good match for CH. I often have to get up close to the fight to heal my pet anyway, which would hurt with rifles. I don't have the points for full pistoleer profession, so I've just got pistol techniques 4 (the "big hits" abilities).
Being any sort of tank class with pets seems pointless, especially since you probably couldn't spare any points for healing skills. I'm a wookiee so melee isn't even an option for me to try. ![]()
no, thats a great reply. i need the info so its much appreciated!
as of now i have 1handswords4 working toward fencer. i was warned not to go melee with CH (the job i KNOW i want to master) but i'm just not a gun guy. i briefly thought about carbineer because when i read the description it said hard projectile weapons, which i thought meant crossbows. I diddnt know they were just submachine guns.
i dont seem to a very GOOD fencer. I got my wig split at fort tusken and desert squill take me out effortlessly, so i was thinking of giving up the blade.
is fencer/CH or TKA/CH a bad combination? From my limited experience its only a few seconds before an aggresive enemy is on top of you, so range never seems to matter unless you can pick them off with one shot from far away.
The only type of firearm in this game that really sounds appealing is the acis cannons the commandos get. Since you can't master commando and CH, it seems like i would have to use a watered down commando and give up on medical skills to use those.
Master rifleman and CH is very good.
TKA is the best class in the game til they nerf the snot out of it. It's comical how uber they are right now.
Rifleman was good becasue of the range you can accurately attack from but the majority of your specials hit the mind where as your pets generally hit health, so I switched to pistoleer. Seems to be a good combo so far.
As for TKAs being massively overpowered and all that they are enjoying a period where their specials actually work the way they were designed. If all other combat classes had their specials and weapons working the disparity wouldn't be so much.
i personally use a brawler class with the animal.
intim to lower damage done to pet, and when i need to heal my animal, i'm right there. no running up and hoping it isn't owned before i can heal it(*cough*nightsluts*cough*)
