I am days away from totally dropping MCH =/

Why is it taking so damn long to fix some of these obvious problems? Pets are borked. Xp for the new CH's is broken. Specials dont work..Agro /cough. My house cat could hold more agro than my rancors.

Where is my "Tank" pet? This is becoming pitiful. Almost every other class has had some fixing done to them. Why is CH taking so long?!?

If the point is to totally remove CH...well they are donig a pretty good job. I have loved CH from the day I started playing. Both of my toon were MCH at one time. Now I cant hardly even stand to play my alt. I would hate to drop it, but I wont stick around with zero fixes being put in place.

The hold up is the increadibly ridiculous amount of bugs in the core system and almost every single other profession. Many core system fixes would go a long way to fixing CH, such as this level stat changing thing, either get rid of it or make thestat changingcurve WAY more gradual, but fixes to the level system and so many other broken core issues (Like maybe root shot permanently disabling your pets attack ability, or pets getting stuck in commands, and so on and so forth) could compleatly change the spectrum on how badly certain proffesions are broken, including us.

They didn't give a moment's thought to the impact on CH of the code changes in the C.U. ....

And they're giving us the same amount of attention while fixing the mountain of bugs in the C.U. -- that is, diddly and squat.

Same as it ever was. There's no reason to think anybody coding this game even knows there is a CH profession at this point.

Guys, you're not the only profession that got "borked" during the CU. Try visiting the droid engineer board sometime. The only thing we can make right now is bounty hunter droids. Even then, bomb droids are broken. The devs have a ton of bugs to work on.

I feel thier pain too. Droids are a joke too! I've eaten steaks that are tougher then my Probot.

Where are all the cool droids we see in the movies and read in the SW books?

LAME!

Ah but DE hasn't been borked since december of 03 and then further borked by the CU.

I've heard and seen that DE was always sort of limited....those "Droid invasion" and "Droids rebuilt" patches didn't do very much so I hear :/.

The holdup and god I am going to get smacked for this is the following.

Look at the game and realize the following. CH uses creatures or player owned npcs. These npcs are directly based of their wild counterparts. From their skins, and hams to the AI. In other words a creature is far more complex then say a gun. You have issues with traceing animations and now add in creature levels. Now you start to see that our pets are a huge bit of programming. So I am not shocked the devs are takeing a great deal of time on it. If they do badly at creating balanced npcs. They will get eaten alive by all the other player classes.

Now the devs have a choice do a thorough debugging on the creatures in the game. Which do not kid yourself they have to do, or fix alot of smaller problems faster. Afterall everyone thinks their personal issues should be number one on the devs agenda. We have also might I point out gotten a number of little tweeks since the CU. Just like everyother profession. The devs did a fix on the tameing not too long ago.

The holdup is that the devs probabally cannot address alot of these issues before they fix alot of bugs. Moves not working. Some being overly strong or weak. Once they get a handle on that then they can properly test creatures against players. Then they can test more thoroughly how creatures apply states, and how ranged attacks and how armor rateings should be applied. Whether creatures should have mitigations of their own.

I agree its takeing forever, and am not excuseing the devs, but CH cannot be properly overhauled until the devs balance the npc mobs in the game. Thats the real problem not that the pets suck, but that the creatures throughout the game need a thorough working over, but I would suppose doing that last would be better then doing it today eraseing it three days from now and doing it again two days after that.

Right now npcs have issues with not properly applying ranged attacks. Not applying states or applying far too many states, and so on and so forth. Not trying to excuse them, but I find it hard to see how ch could not have ended up near the tail end. For no other reason other then efficency. After all our class combines with the creatures in the wild and how hard they will be to fight.

The holdup is this

Management

We ch have one dev who looks after bugs for creatures...

His name isFreeman = he is a good man do not flame him.

Yes he fixed our sound problem a while back and is still our dev as far as his boss assigned him here. He also must deal with creatures in the new expansion and with basically anything involving creatures. Since it all goes hand in hand with eachother.

He is actually one of the better devs but at this time I can predict pretty accurately (guessing) he is being told work on the expansion ...

Its a classic move here in soe-land

Management might have tried organising a little better, They new from TC what a mess this was all going to be but seem to want to keep the same dev structure base in live as it was pre-cu.
