If i could take on a caynon with just CH I'd gladly drop every rifle skill I have. And if they fixed it so intim only stuck every 10 times that would also be a great improvment over what it is currently.

Yeah, I completely agree. I would gladly drop all combat skills if CH could stand on its own...

I'd also drop all my combat skills without a second thought. I'd love to be CH/Master ranger and some medic and actually be viable. Why didn't they just implement something like my idea instead of nerfing us so bad

i can appreciate that, but i just don't think you should get your hopes up, marginal increases to ch and large nerfs to most else could make you weaker than you are now
...i really doubt ch will be made so you can solo krayts with no other combat..that would be about a 12000% increase

plus there exist the possibility that since ch has already been "rebalenced"...there may be nothing done to it at all...just consider all the possibilities

Yeah, but I don't think that the "rebalance" fit into the new CURB plans. Think about it, at that time the CURB was not as big of a thing as it is now. Also, we most definitely have to change quite a bit, even if it is just the new armor system. Player armor and weapons are changing, so pet armor must also change along with pet damage.
But I agree, I'm not expecting to solo krayts, however, it would be nice to not feel gimped when only using pets.

Joker I am surprised you are expecting the curb to help answer your prayers.
I have a feeling the curb will do little for ch
Think about it for them to change ch in any degree that may make a difference then they must change creatures. thats a whole other revamp.
Sure we may get a few different commands "maybe" but I am not crossing my fingers.
As history has shown ch is always last on the list unless everyone else "other professions" are screaming nerf em.
Considering the armor, weapons, ham, specials in combat professions and tweaking npc's since they too will need balancing I think CH shall remain the same untill they get back to itaround2006

I feel your pain. I finally gave up being MCH/Master Ranger because of stuff like this.
I wonder if your pets were even getting your special commands. I've had lots of problems lateley where /tellpet doesn't work. Unless I say the command out loud in spatial chat, they ignore me.

I am currently Master Ranger/MCH and it seems that I really don't have alot of problems with pet specials. Granted, I have 3 Veermok out, all with intim and some other special, so this type of thing happens to me rarely. One instance that it did happen to me was when I was attacking a Dune Kimo. No matter how muchI spammed special1 and special2, my pets couldn't land either one.
I think it might have to do with the beast's defences vs. the attack of the pet. Maybe Krayts/Kimo/big dragonshave a certain amount of Def vs. Intim, and only players are able to sucessfully add a intim every few mins or so. Whatever the case, I feel your pain. I hope the CURB fixes things like this too.

When I fought a krayt with pets and some friends my intimidates and other pet specialsalways seemed to land, but that might of been because I was using an intimidate macro to keep it stuck myself.....

IMHO having a level 35 or so pet fail to stick an intimidate against a level 270 (don't care to be exact on a krayts lvl,you still see the point)or socreature is not a big deal. If you think about it it works well 35 270, 35 270. There is a huge difference in these 2 creatures ...... 35 270, 35 270.
The Swordman you seen fighting the Krayt will probably use his mind hit 300-650 times. When the 4th ham bar for specials to drain from is here (curb), he won't be able to spam an attack 300-650 times. That's the reason end game content like Elders, Gorax, GDK and Krayts will in no way be soloable but require a good group. Another thing with the CURB is ending the mindham trap, mind will no longer be the weakest link, so who is to say post curb any of us will have our mind hits.
Post Curb we will see all of these TKA, Master Swordsman and Rifleman (Me) move on to pure fun professions instead of the top of the ubers.
Of course SoE changes thier plans often, but the street we're heading down nowleads to here.
