Thread: Storage Question

Ok, not going to blame anyone for being bummed about the storage module.. but think about it for a moment.

More often than not, it's an R series. Just how BIG is the inside of that R series? I mean, sure, get a blaster, a spraystick.. some stims or clothing or such in it, but other than that.. what do you expect from such a small droid, in all reality?

Now, take the BLL, and allow us to give it 30, and we've got a real use for it, as it's a huge droid.

Yes, it's annoying at 10, I won't dissagree. But in the general scale of things, it's not that far out of whack IMO.

Of course, the REAL high technology for item storage is the travel pack. I think they're really bags of holding. I could, if I so chose, carry fifty private crafting stations in that little thing somehow.

very true, regarding the packs. too bad they don't increase your total inventory though (then they really would be bags of holding).

in truth, what the packs seem to do is work like folders in a hard disk drive. they don't increase the capacity (in fact they take a little bit of space themselves), but they make it a lot easier to organize your stuff.

regarding the 10 item limit on storage: I was pretty annoyed by it at first, but I'm starting to realize it aint so bad. with 5 droids, that does add up to 50 items, which nearly doubles your carrying capacity. they ought to increase the limit on the level 1 modules though, in my opinion. a "1 item" storage compartment is depressingly useless and very anti-climactic for the newbie DE.

Actually, if I'm not mistaken, an equipped pack does actually increase your storage. Starting with no items in my inventory I can pick up a full backpack and equip it and still only have 1/60 showing in inventory. If you're referring to unequipped then yes. And, when I first saw the usage of Cargo Pockets and Satchels inside a backpack your analogy is the exact one I thought of.

It's even more annoying when the deed says it has 15 storage.

10 items....

No matter what configuration... no matter how many modules... no matter if it's 1 Level 6 or 10 level 1's.

10 items max.

Dumb? Yes.... Blame SOE.

I have some storage questions

At MCH level (Which I am),

1) how many pets can you store in your datapad.

2) DO faction pets (ie:ATST, Troopers) count against the amount of pets that can be stored?

3)Dodroids count?

4) If my datapad is really full (lot of waypoints, etc), and it says I haven't any room left in my datapad percentage-wise, does this also affect whether I can add more pets to my datapad?

Thanks,

Junga

28 ? i can only have 22 stored pets and i'm a wookiee master creature handler, not that it should make any differance.

droids and factions pets don't count towards the the max stored pets.

yes if you have alot of droids, faction pets, waypoints and schematics for factories, it can prevent you for taming pets, but only if your datapad is 100% full.

You can buy data storage droids fairly cheap. A MSE droid that holds 20 data will go for 3 to 5k.
