Hey there,

Last night I hit novice CH and currently I'm using a grill baby to fight other low level stuff, like kreetles, grills etc. I get about 100 ch xp per kill. Is that good enough or can I do better somehow?

Something else I'd like to know. When I get enough points for my first skillbox, should I put it in training, taming, empathy or management. Which one is most important? Which one after that?

Appreciate all comments.

Thanks.

wow i Just became a CH last night too, but using a gurled rancor for pistoleer exp, killing mountain squills, only get 1 exp CH per kill but 3k pistol exp....anyways i found that if u just go find low level creature babies to tame and teach them the 3 basic command thats 400 per tame, I just go around find babaies to tame and release them and find new ones,,, you can not tame the same baby u released u wont get any CH exp.

I personally used a cu pa from Tatoonie. I took it to Corellia to do missions along with me and got very good CH xp. Now, since I can use two...double thatgood xp.Not as good when they are full grown, but decent. You can always release them and go find another couple babies. They are usually easy to find. Oh, they are ranged attackers...they spit.

I save the bigger pets for bigger game hunts where their larger HAM is needed and use the little ones for CH xp.

Yeah I'm using a cu pa baby now on tatooine, trying to kill other cu pas and those give 130ch xp per kill. This is gonna take some time tho :/

Can I also get a response on what skillbox I should invest my xp first?

The first box should be Empathy 1 to get Pet Trick 1. This is the only way to heal your pet's Mind Wounds and it gives you another command so you go from getting a minimum of 400 Handler xp every time you tame a baby to 500 xp.

After that go with Management 1 to get the Group command (600 minimum from each baby now). Grouping with a pet let's you get a bonus to your experience when fighting (I'm told, I haven't noticed it making a very big deal) butit also lets you see it's HAM bars in a fight so you know when to jump in and tank for it.

If you're not in a hurry to get a big pet you can probably start working up the Management branch. Getting to Level 2 in either Management, Training or Empathy lets you store 2 more pets and, when you get to Management 3 you can have 2 pets out and fighting for you (giving double the Handling exp from each fight).

Once the patch comes out this week you'll then want Training 1 so you'll have enough of the new "Max Level of Pets" statistic to call two low level pets. After that do whatever you want.

I just received my Novice CH and I tried to tame a Crazed Durni baby. I killed all the other Durnis there and when i tried to tame the baby, it kept telling me I couldn't tame it. When examined, it says that it is tamable. I kept clicking tame over and over and kept getting the same message. Am I doing something wrong?

You have to do it on a baby and keep doing it over and over. It will say you can not tame but you will.

you need creature taming two. Hostile creatures take more advanced skill points to tame.

when you bring up the radial menu option number 3 is tame if it comes up then you can tame it.
If it doesn't then ypu don't have the skills to tame it.
On examine it just tells you that a creature is tamable but not neccessarily by you.
