In the midst of all this screaming at our pets to stop running, has anyonea pet in their datapad that's been with them through a good deal of everything and despite getting a bit low on the vitality side you still can't delete it?

I have two pets that I don't think I ever could delete despite the fact that they're almost entirely useless now:

Minty - my very first tame ever, she's a female squall...I only used her to kill butterflies around Coronet until I was 1-1-0-0 but I still haven't been able to delete her (she's level 10)

Ryyk - named after my character's brother, he's a grand wrix....I got him while I was on a date, jogging up to the Rebel theme park (this was before mounts and vehicles). He was the pet I used to solo the last part of Act 2. He has more than 10 PvP kills to his credit (all but 1 of those came pre-nerf), I have a hard time remember what my datapad looked like without him in there.

I've got a few other pets in my datapad that I've had forever that I couldn't possibly delete...my CRC Rayne, my BDQ Benson, but generally speaking I don't really feel as connected to the BE pets as I do to the one's I tamed myself. I even made several of my pets when I was a BE.

Let's hear about some other pets...in the blind rage of hating everything when your pet runs all over the place or stands on top of you, we could use some reminders of why we liked them in the first place /hug pets.

I am MCH, and until last publish, I have a gurreck named Red that I have had for a very long time. I used him all the time with Lizzy, a Dewback (total of 69 cl) Red had 100 vitatilaty before infamous publish 6, he is now down to 97 as he all of a sudden he became "cowardly" and tends to run through nearby spawns on Endor. I will not use him any more because I could not bear to lose him. Of course every time he died, I did too. I will probably just wait to see if they get this problem resolved and use up my Battle Lords and such. Hehe, I hate spiders in RL anyway, scare the heck out of me.

Merry and Pippin... i love these beautiful plains hunters. ive had them almost since the begining of this game as soon as i was able to tame them. poor Pip was found after someone shot and killedhis mother. i had to help this guy grow and when he was only a little cub i found Merry. theyve been best buds since. i have a connection with most of my pets but these 2 are my pride and joy. i could never get rid of these kitties. and could never drop the CH profession.

I've got five of these, but most of my older pets (the first 16 in the datapad) are there mostly due to sentiment:

Sparky, my wrix, who is currently living on a non-CH friend's datapad. My second permanent tame, constant hunting companion against the yard trash in my early CH career. Been DBd a number of times, not any good in a fight anymore, but I can't bear to release her. I'd love to turn her into a house cat.

Butch, my first GSP, tamed my very first night as a CH. Major tank with the PA as we all worked our way through our first elite professions. Much valued and beloved member of the hunting party.

Huey, my dewback, my third permanent tame, and who I trained as a mount immediately after logging in on mount patch day, and proudly rode through the streets of Doaba Guerfel that very night. What a thrill!

Osiris, my GSH, who was the first pet of a friend of mine who gave up CH to be a doctor/CM. She aquired Osiris back in early August before the cert system, and then could not bear to release him, so gave him to me for safekeeping. He's still there even though I can't call him myself.

Akheheton, her GSP, one of her early tames, same thing...she gave her beloved pet to me for safekeeping.

I have my early BE Gurrek, Fluffy at 10K HAM. A very early rendition of BE pre-4 gurreks. My other Gurrek, Sparky, also a pre-5BE12K HAM and one of hte nastiest cats I have ever had, then there is my pride an joy....a bio pre-5 Rancor named DeathOnTwoLegs. The most loyal ferocious 12.5KHAM 650-695 pet I ever have had.

But since I gave up this useless profession all I can do is look at what might have been and will probably never be.

My oldest pet is Sable, the dappled gualama. She got quite a bit of use on faction missions because she used to have nice energy resists for her level. Now she sits in the datapad, waiting for the day that I can put a saddle on her and take her out for leisurely rides...

Then there's Puddin my dewback. Well, to be precise, he's Puddin II, but his namesake had gotten too beat up to continue anymore so I let him go and tamed a new one. He still accompanies me out on missions as my trusted mount, but he doesn't fight unless I get into trouble.

Bashy and Smashy, my graul mauler duo. Since the nerf they've been resting comfortably in the 'old pets home' and are hopefully enjoying their retirement.

And then there's Suki and Hiko. The mountain dewbacks sisters. My fightin' dews. Once I hit management III and could have them both out, they were my favorite combo. Not as tough as my maulers were, but they held their own and got me through the remainder of the profession.

I have some cute pets that I've tamed strictly for.. well... being cute pets. But they've never fought for me, and so my attachment to them isn't as strong as these guys who took many a DB intended for me. I remember the first time I lost vitality on Sable and Puddin it was due to a faction-newbie-camping PvPer outside Bestine. The guy was a pistoleer MCH, and had a gaping spider hunter, toxic merek battlelord and some variety of baby kliknik with him. He toasted me with fan shot easily, and then while I cloned, his pets repeatedly posioned and DB'd my poor babies. They each lost about 14 vitality points to that SOB. I was so furious I couldn't see straight. I wanted blood. For the first time ever, I went Overt just to find him and punish him. However, some other overts had already done the job and were now having fun incapping his kliknik over and over. I didn't get the satisfaction I wanted, and now everytime I see him I think "hey, there's that a$$hole". In all fairness, he didn't do anything wrong- this was back when pets immediately got up after an incap, and could be repeatedly incapped due to poison- and he didn't incap them himself, nor did he act in a rude fashion after DB'ing me. It was just the fact that he got the jump on me (no TEF indicator back then) and had 'ruined' my babies that I wanted him dead a thousand times over.

That, and his name was ripped off from a book. I mean, how unoriginal can you get?

One of my first useful tames (Ravage), a GSP, has been my longtime partner and companion in many hunts. Still has 100 Vitality.

My other beloved pet (Bigwig), a Laviasquall, has also remained at my side to lighten the mood. He's always pining for attention. hehehe

My newest addition (a great plains stalker baby), aGreat Plains Stalker Baby, will also forever have a place in my datapad. He's the shy one. ;-)

I've stillhave the majorityof alll my pets, but that's not saying much. Two I keep due to sentiment, the last out of neccesity. My first tame, A GSP named Rex. The second was one I spent a good time hunting for specifically and invested several hours in aquiring. That was my Dalyrake Matriarch. The lastis a carrion spat that works good for experience, and now as a mount. He was given to me by a bounty hunter that once dabbled in CH. (Was a pair actually, one Dinner, the other Lunch). I still have Dinner, and my friend used Lunch to make MCH.

I have two Mountain Squills called Denise and Malcolm I use to use all the time before they lost AR1. They don't work now(I don't mean that bugwise, they "work", but I don't fight with them) as they are "out to pasture" and in retirement. I still pull them out to get missions and give them a feed sometimes )

Who knows, maybe the devs will addarmour you canget pets to wear one day and they can tear things up again...
