Heya everyone

Well i just started playing swg and since i play on a euroserver and on odd times im more or less forced to solo alot.

Well since i figured a pet could be a good meatshield i started heading towards CH.

I allso picked up novice pistoleer a few days ago , since i like the idee of wielding 2 guns (hopefully it will be in game some day )becorse or the looks more then annything.

Now my questions is , is there annyone here that has taken this road aswell ? if so whats your thought on it ? Anny tips would be mutch appriciated

Im not relly mutch of a pvp person so even if neighter pistoleer or ch are anny good at it im fine whit it

Hello, and welcome to the game. Where are you playing from?

I've got both MCH and Master Pistoleer, and it is just fine for PVE. You get a variety of weapons to choose from for different damage types and relatively normal HAM costs, so you won't be constantly killing yourself. Plus, when you get Tech IV and Fanshot, you'll be dishing out some pretty good damage to MOBs while your pets are deep in the middle of the action.

All this, and Pistoleer is full of things that are broken - presume that if things are corrected or added, it might even be better.

Good luck.

I'm Master in both Pistols and Creature Handling. It's a fine template for PvE. You'll be able to use stronger creatures as you climb the CH ladder, and for the most part they are fine tanks. Go with the best bio-engineered pets you can control (and afford) - you'll do quite well.

The nice thing about the MCH/Master Pistoleer template is that if the mob AI changes and the creature that you're attacking moves from your pet to you, pistol is a great up close weapon.

Hi

Im master CH and novice pistoleer 3-3-4-3 and i must admit i quite like to combo.

Drop a heatlshot1 and 2 on the critter, send in the pet, get to your ideal range for your weapon and spam a bit of body shot or fan shot to get lots of xp.

Plus if the critter does break and make a run for u the nice hitting when moving mods are always useful!

Im certainly gonna stick it out to get to master pistoleer!

I've been Commando flame tree/MCH, Master Carbineer/MCH, and now going for Master Pistoleer/MCH. I'm only 0/2/4/3, but Pistoleer is a lot better then I thought it would be.

Fanshot rules, I dont care if people say its broken. I cankill 3 engraged Rancors while my Bio-pet keeps them busy. The Fanspecial shots allMobsat the same time (if there lined up correctly)for a little over 1k damage every 2 seconds. Am I as uber as a flame 4 Commando with pets, no. But I like the fact I can pick different weapons with different damage types now. Commando was so boring, flame and watch it die. Now I can go pistol whip the rancor, this does k/d, then get two fan shots off for a damage multiplier.

Carbineer also wasn't too bad, they have a ranged k/d with Cripple shot. I was almost unstopable in PvE with Master Carbineer and a sliced Laser Carbine that had over 400 damage with a powerup. Only draw back is you have to be buffed or you die if anything hits you, specials drain you like a vampire.

You don't need to be a medic to use Pet Stims. But if you have at least novice medic, you'll be able to use regular Stim Bs plus pet Stims at the same time, healing even faster... it gets usefull when your pets are getting hit a lot. And getting First Aid (second level in the first medic tree) is not a bad idea at all, since pets get hit with bleed quite often.

I have Master CH/pistoleer with 3/4/4/0 medic 0 skill points left.

This is a really good combo as you can use stim D's and pet stims at the same time. I can heal my pets for 2000-3000 a hit.
