Thread: Why do pets stand on top of me ?? It's getting on my nerves.
Pets are following me but they also stop on top me... while all the agro kinetic stuff (like creatures) stand beside me.
With your pet on top of you almost on top of your enemies it makes it hard to double click your target. Unless you use Attack icon and Tab key.. But me, i don't like using the attack icon nor the Tab key. I like to double click on agro creatures. With the pets standing on top of me i hardly can.

It appears i'm not the only one who hate that.
Pets should be following you few feet behind and when you stop, they stop and they STAY few feet behind.... not on top or inside you.

I've read the thread, and people are quite upset at pets running from everything in sight. that's a big problem for everybody. I'm just saying I wouldn't expect the devs to care about the minority of people who are using first person mode. heck, they have a hard enough time fixing things that effect EVERYBODY in the game.
I'm not trying to minimize the importance of your problem, I'm just pointing out the way things seem to work in the development of this game, at least as I see it.
On the other hand, i do beleive that devs can fix this easy. It is isn't hard to set pets few feet away from your character's position.
If a pet can get to your position, they can get to a position minus 1 point on the axis. Simple logic.
I certainly find it irritating. And I use third person mode. It didn't work this way a week ago.
Do the majority of people really play in third-person? You poor people, one of the most immersive games ever made and you want to play with dolls. That might explain the spectacularly bad play I see the "majority" of the time I group with random people. ![]()
