I was hanging out with my other half in front of the starport in Theed, dancing with my mynok. A couple of guys came along and started spamming the /summon command, and lo and behold, my pet started following them! I immediately stored, but they then proceeded to do the same with a kwi, a bantha and 2 barker droids...so we were only worried about jedi controllingour pets? Last I saw that kwi and bantha were heading towards the cantina...I'm gonna bug this, and see what is said...

This is by design, as part of the pet emote package we got at the beginning of the year. You can use /pet to make them sit, /scold to make them look ashamed, /summon to make them follow, etc. Even though it's always worked this way... I don't like that people other than the pet's owner can do this, for the very reason you mentioned. I'll pass this along to the Devs.

Well, this just gets better and better. I've used the pet emote commands, but I've never had anyone else use those commands on my pets so I had no idea others could controlmy pets. And this isby design??? I can only surmise that this isn't common knowledge. Yet. Sheesh, how can I have been playing CH for over 10 months and not know any of this stuff about CH 
(Please, no one answer that). I've already done my rant on jedi's controlling our pets, so I won't bore anyone with another. But good grief, Charlie Brown, this is becoming surreal.

I did /examine the pets and droids, and none of them belonged to the people they were following. The bantha was still following the guy half an hour after he spammed the poor thing. Seems to take anywhere between 3-10 times to get it to follow you, more testing will be done tomorrow...let me know what you'd like as in testing info Vert, and I'll get it to you through PM if you'd prefer. This was on Radiant, I can test it on Valcyn too if you wish.

that is NOT cool. now not only can i not use my rare awesome pets, i cant show them off in public

Lol, I've been a master ch for 9 mos. and I just learned about the /scold, /tap and /summon commands as well. Not that I like to scold my pets, it makes me feel bad
. Anyways. I agree with Tivo, this blows! If someone else can summon my pets, specially my rares I've busted my butt for, they'd better have a damn good excuse for it.

Well, I don't know if the fact that you can do this with other people's pets is by design (I hope not). But /summon having the "Follow Me" effect is.

I just tried /summon like 20 times and my pet just sat there. She did react to /pet /tap but then again has never worked with /tellpet so who knows. I could not verify it.

its /summon and it does work ..the counter is to give your pet the "followme" or "stay" command and it won't move if people do /summon.
I've tried it and it does work ..had one guy crying when i ran off with his rancors he had all over town causing lag.

Hehe, I was able to run off with one of Milteck's SS's last night, all he had to do was tell it to heel and it went right back to him. Saving graces on this, you have to be within 4 meters or so, same as with /pet to get a reaction. Anyone that close to my pet in combat is probably fighting the same thing I am. If not, it will be obvious what they are doing. Best solution might be to just take the /summon out, because if they mess with the actual commands we'll lose /pet and /hug, and that's made CH a lot more fun.
