To my fellow Creature Handlers...
I’ve already written two separate letters today and I know this one
won’t be any easier. Everyone knows the reason I’m leaving and I wont bring it
up for the fact that I dont want to endanger my final post. I only hope the
same respect will be shown towards me as I display in this letter.
Words cannot even come close to expressing the emotional state of mind
I feel towards you all. I can still faintly remember back to when I was
the lost player looking for answers here. This forum helped me grow into a
true master of creature taming, and gave me the inspiration I needed to tame
all the rare pets, help start a cross-server Creature Handling guild, and
allowed me to help out those in need of guidance. It really gave me a
sense of satisfaction. Now all that remains is a battlefield of weary
soldiers, heartless enemies, and broken spirits. “All that once was...is lost.” -

Yes, many of you will look at me as your leader and teacher. But just
as I told my guild members on Lowca, it takes just as much courage and honor
to follow someone. Many of you have become true masters of this profession
and have taken the next step just as I once did in becoming the teacher.
There will still be students looking for answers and experienced Creature
Handlers contributing info, myself leaving won’t change that. Not to mention
there are still a handful of “old school” CH’s left. You all know how I feel
about things around here, so theres no need for me to bring any of that up. I
think its fair to say everyone gets what they deserve in the end.
Those closest to me know we share a special bond which no one can
erase. Some of you have been with me from the beginning, others I met along
the way. When we had fun, it really was a blast. I will always be able to
look back at my screenshots and remember what used to be. Each of us have a
tale in this story, and mine has ended. It brings a smile to my face and a
tear to my eye to think that the Tales of Tivo will be passed on to new
players, of how it took me 45 minutes to tame my widow, or 105 screecher lairs,
or 5 months for my bull rancor. It’s a shame I have been forced to leave a
group of warriors, peacekeepers, and dreamers.
I need to note a few names before I go. I want to thank my long time
friend Fuzzyteddy for staying by my side from beginning to end, Pem for
cheering me along and showing me the utmost respect, Digi for always finding me
something new to hunt, and Milteck for being my support and helping me
unite CH. The following people for at one point and time being a strong
community voice: ko-airi, taloncard, siobabble, berentd, zonjainez, wabit. These
next few for really giving it their all in my final days (thnx guys):
aakhperkare, pluto, robofish, wallach, jopenack, maestro, tycalibur,
skypreacher. Also want to thank willow, laradarkstar, indene, tarja,
hazzarstanage, and rawanuk whom are the leaders I've known longest.
Morpheus, wherever you are, thnx for the good talks. Vert, I atleast
owe you a thanks despite recent events, good luck. And of course to my Lowca
crew, you guys were the reason I made it this far, I’ll miss ya:
fuzzyteddy, atacca, kiwi, tobbacco, velvetus, and kryygarrr...who will be
taking over the honor for leading Beast on Lowca. And lastly, there are
four names that deserve just as much respect as mine: Pem, Ruselch,
Tsiya, and Blindtyldak...they are second to none and deserve to be in
the CH Hall of Fame also. May our pets' spirits roam freely in the
wind."
Despite all of the hate, fighting, and despair, I leave you with two
songs and a quote that I think sum up the end of any long journey. “May it
Be” and “Into the West” from the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. I hope to see
you all at this Sunday’s BEAST meeting. My final day will be Monday. If this
game is ever truly fixed to my satisfaction, I will return...unfortunately,
that is doubtful in my eyes. I wish you luck along your way, and may the
creatures of old save this profession...or end it.

It was a honor for me to post this for Tivo
I tried to talk him out of leaving and I know many BEAST members have as well. No one wants to see Tivo go and when he does go on Monday II know many of us will hope that someday he will come back. We have lost a true Master of the creature handler profession but I want everyone to remember what he did for the community and remember him for the things he accomplished. Remember Tivo for his words of wisdom in his posts and his encouragement to all those who needed it.
For me personally it is very difficult to see Tivo go as together we forged BEAST and have created a large creature handler community that now has been established successfully on 11 servers. I will also remember when Tivo and I were both looking for the new breed of rare pets and how our correspondence encouraged to strive on until we tamed that Bull Rancor or got the illusive Great Plains Stalker. He is a good friend and will always be.
Tivo's legacy will not be forgotten and those whose life he touched will not forget him. For our city we are designing something very special to honor him so that all BEAST members now and in the future will never forget Tivo and his accomplishments as a Creature Handler. On Lowca Tivo will chose a new leader before he goes that will step up and continue on what we have started and ensure that BEAST endures for all time.
You will be missed
But never forgotten
Your friend

Tivo,
I have always admired you. You have been the consumate Tamer. I told you the other night that I always wanted to be the GCW/PvP Version of you.
I am having difficulty swallowing at the moment. I guess for me your parting is like a great disturbance in the Force.
I will never live up to jumping the bar you have set. You have been a teacher, a leader, a friend, a student and the best example I could have as a CH.
I will miss you for now, but I am sure that we will be together soon enough.

Tivo,
I can only hope that I will be able to become 1/5 the Creature Handler that you were. You were our unoffical Correspondent and will be sorely missed. You have persevered even though Creature Hanlders have been shafted time and time again. I wish you good luck and god speed in you future endevours, you will be sorely misssed by everyone. We will do our best to keep up the fight/agressive negotiations with the devs. I can only hope that sometime down to line you will return to the game and community. Though I dont think you can keep yourself away from this community of rabble rousers
Well I'm not good at sayign good bye to people so I'll end it here. Hope to talk to you on Aim or something.
You will be missed

Tivo... I hope that all remains well with you in your RL endeavors. A game is only a game when it's fun. And I know for you, it became very un-fun in the last few weeks. Hopefully, those of us who remain behind can carry the torch, and the combat sandbox testing goes well and the game becomes what we/you have always hoped it would be. And hopefully, some day you will return.
I give a /salute to the greatest CH voice we've had. And I hope myself and others can step up to fill your shoes. You'll be sorely missed. Take care buddy... I'll PM my contact info to Milteck to pass along to you, in the case you ever want to say hello.

I have always had trouble letting go of friends. All the more so when they are intelegent, resourceful and wise. That being said I know that we must accept that you must walk for an unknown time along a different path from ours. You have honored me and us with your wisdom and knowledge. You will be missed.

I can't adequately express my sadness at losing one of the giants of this profession; Tivo has always been a strong, confident, knowledgable voice in this forum, eager to share his experience and knowledge with the community and to help out the many new CHs who have come here looking for help in sussing out this wonderful profession.
/salute
You will be greatlly missed, Tivo. I wish there were some way to persuade you not to leave, but I thoroughly understand why you feel it's time.

Happy Trails, Tivo! Thanks for all you've done and inspiring me along the way. I hope someday when things have gotten better you might open your account again. Until then, I wish you the best!

I don't know what happened...but it really, really sucks!
Grawarr, turns and walks slowly away...head held low...his pets mournful cries can be heard for miles away, as they plod along after their master...bellowing to te heavens above in anguish.
