Well, I just couldn't stand it anymore. It killed me but I finally dropped MCH. I was a CH from the very beginning, it was what I had planned to be from the start, and I began playing since release. I have gone through some other professions and people would ask why I wouldn't drop CH to try out even more professions. Because I love my pets too much!
So, here I am, an MD/MCH and getting a little tired of not being much help to a hunting group. So, last night I made the plunge and surrendered much of my CH skills to take up combat again. I plan on coming back to the CH profession when/if it is ever a useful profession in this community again. I couldn't even come to selling the pets I have or destroying them. So I will just longingly look at them in my datapad wishing I could call them out again.
Hope to be back with all you CH's again. You are a great group and are one of the profession communities that really loves what your profession is all about, the pets!

I'm sorry to hear that. I haven't done this long or reached master but I started down the same road you have last week. I dropped 3 of the 5 skill boxes I owned and couldn't pull out any of my pets but one. It was only two days before I was earning them back, I just wanted to call those animals, especially a malkloc that wasn't full grown when I dropped the skill. I wanted to see how big he would get.

Sorry to hear you are leaving, we will wait for your return.
I hope you kept one low level critter to use when you start back up the path.

Good deal. I always worry about those who drop CH and plan on coming back so they keep their high level pets, but then would have to delete them all just to get a novice pet to start over with.
I think I would cry if I had to do that. I'm so attached to my pets!

Another CH bites the dust.
I wonder how many need to go before Vert acknowledges we have a problem?

Yes, actually I did. I panicked thinking that I was going to have to clear out my datapad to start up again later, then remembered I had tamed a couple low level creatures and kept them just because they were fun to have around. Whew!

You can be assured that Vert has been aware for quite some time. Not that there is much he can do but complain to the Dev's and get ignored. The only CH's left now are the stubborn, the rare hunters, and BE's with just enough to train deeds and a few useful commands. That is what this profession has become.

Yeah, I dropped my master ch status last night. Had to drop Masterto get my last Smuggler skills and then I figured I would just drop it all the way and get marksmen and master pistoleer. *sigh* stupid CH, I liked it a lot but it didn't do anything at all

This is so sad. I played last night and everytime I saw a baby spawn I just wanted to run up and tame it. It feels very strange not having my most trusted pets out there with me when I'm in the field on a hunt. I have a feeling I'll be coming back to CH soon.

Don't bother with smuggler, yea it was fun for a bit, but we just got some devastating news today, our revamp will be pushed back yet again, this time until after the JTL release. This is the 5th time it has been pushed back and at this point it will be 6 months before we can smuggle anything...I am looking today at other professions as I just cannot wait any more for the Smuggler revamp.
