I dropped it to, but it didn't last..... I'm regrinding it as we speak. Just make sure you have at least one low level pet for the grind so you don't have to drop any of em'. As for combat, I find Master Rifleman and CH an excellent combination. At Master CH you still can group with your pets and get some pretty good missions!

I believe Vert does not see the CH community in that light. According to him, we are still a vibrant community that is merely suboptimal in combat but still effective. He does not believe there has been a major exodus of people out of the CH profession.

I don't think we have seen a major exodus out of the profession in game, but we have seen a major exodus from these boards. I am running into more and more CH lately, and they are not just newcomers but many who dropped a little to go hologrinding but are now back to what they liked, or they just returned after taking a few months off after the first set of "balances" from last August.

I did keep one low-level pet, luckily. I think after I complete a couple combat classes I will be heading back to CH because I miss it a lot. So, I'll probably be trying to level it again in a few weeks. I think the missions thing is the only real use for CH's now. Pull out some CL70 pets and you have some very nice level missions for your group, that and my cats do a pretty good job of guarding me and giving me time to get away from an otherwise bloody ending.

i play a MD/MCH on eclipse and am faced with the same thoughts everytime i log him in. If the balancing doesn't help i will dropping it also.

I in turn created a pvp char. on shadowfire (tkm, fencer rifleman) to help with the frustration. i still truly enjoy my pets even though i cant pvp with that character. sad MCH was my first mastered prof. <sniffle>

Same here. MCH was my very first profession and I still have the dewback that helped me get there along with the three GSP's that were my kitty team until they changed their levels.

I have other characters on other servers, but I like the group of people I play with on Bria, so dropping MCH was the profession I had to drop. My plan is in motion though. I'm working on mastering Pistoleer (again), then I will be moving on to swordsman, then pikeman. Thought about doing TKM again, but I wanted to test out some other combat professions.

But I still miss my pets! My friends have to encourage me not to pick it up again so soon. It's a struggle everytime I log in not to run back to the CH trainer.
