Someone in game is telling me the description of the transfer command is wrong. Any one with it have you tried to transfer pets to a non-CH? IF so please let me know. I am at Man3 now but was going to work other lines. If what he says is true then I will just get Man4 instead.

Heads-up on a change...

...unfortunately, it is probably one you won't like.

There are currently two tamable creatures that are unbalanced due to an abnormally high armor rating. The Gurreck & Giant Sand Beetle are going to have their armor changed from Medium to Light.

We're going to have to go through the armor ratings for all creatures, particularly tamable ones, in the near future, to catch any other glitches like this one.

Transfer works to allow a CH with the skill to transfer the pet to any other CH. They changed it in beta so non-CH's could not control pets.

It is interesting but i traded a trained pet to a non ch and it was in his data pad. I am also experimenting trading with a ch a pet trained in skills that ch dont have. I know they recieve the pet but it does not show up on trade window when trading. The non ch also traded back with me so it is possible to trade tamed creatures but non ch cannot call them.

The datapad thing is a known and reported exploit. Thanks for making sure to post it on the forums so every yahoo and his mother can abuse it now.

Good job.

Figuring out ways to trade pets without the "transfer" skill wouldn't be considered finding a way around the mechanics of the system? By nature and definition that is exactly what an exploit is, numbnuts.

If people would just play the game instead of trying to find a loophole or easy way to do things, we would all be better off, and have a good fun time while doing it. But some people just can't seem to grasp that concept.

when a pet gets transferred it is transferred with ALL of the commands the person taught to it.

So I could transfer a fully trained Graul Mauler to a new CH and he would be able to use commands he does not have the skills for (like transfer and formations)as well as having a pet he could not tame himself.

Never used it before, but I have a couple questions...

1) If I transfer a pet does he transfer with all his commands I taught him intact or does the recipient need to retrain commands?

2) If I have a low level agressive creature and transfer it to someone that is unable to tame an agressive, can they still train it in commands?

3) Does Befriend work? (It never has for me)

Thanks in advance!!

I have management 4, If i train a pet transfer, loan it out to my friend who can use it, but who does not have management 4, will he be able to return it to me via the trade window, or just speaking the transfer command in spatial? Thanks
