I for one don't this. It seems backwards to me. I have taming I. So in theory I should be able to tame a level 25 non Vicious creature. In theory. But I shouldn't be able to kill him. However I can't tame a bull ronto. Level 21 I believe.

But my friend gave a bull ronto that he tamed after patch. I can call the ronto and use him. But I can't tame one. Does this make any sense?

You should be able to tame the ronto if you have taming 1. You will also need training 1 to call him, unless the one your friend gave you isn't an adult yet.

Hello All,

I'm a former tailor, trying to change to Creature Handler. So far, I have Taming I and Training I, so I am still a newbie at this profession.

Three Questions:

1. Additional Pets +1, is this how many i can have called at one time?

2. Stored Pets +2, is this the number on my datapad?

3. Is there any way to take a creature out of my datapad and store him in my house so I can tame more?

I hope these aren't stupid questions... Its just confusing at first.

Thanks for any help.

nope. once there in the datapad they are there untill you destroy them, or get stored +2 when you can have more. when you get managment 4 you will be able to sell non-ch pets and i think you can store them in droids. not too sure though.

hope that helps

The droid storage bug was fixed and caused a lot of hardship for pet sellers. We have no more storage than what is capable in the datapad.

Yes. You'll get +1 more at Manage 3 and + 1 more at MCH.

2. Stored Pets +2, is this the number on my datapad?

Yes, that's in addition to the 2 everyone gets. So at Novice you have 4 total.

No.

ok, with the new Jedi publishes, will we get a second character on the same server, like the current situation, or will it just be the current character we are using? ( will I be able to keep my merchant and doctor character or totally destroy him to make a jedi)

Will Jedi be allowed to own houses?

If it's the same character, are we able to use our current skills with jedi skills?

I have masterd 10 professions so far, does this mean I can "purchase" 10 blocks of force sensitivity training?

If I read this right, Jedi will no longer be allowed the use of armor other than the robes the earn?

Sorry all, but I'm really confused on this.

This is what I got from the statements.

1) The new character will be on the same server.

2) I'm pretty sure cause it is your main character so until they say otherwise you should still have slots.

3) Once you get some Force ability you can use basic Force sensitivity but once you actually start going for Jedi i.e. Lightsaber, Force Healing then you will need to start giving up your Profession skills.

4) Not sure about that but with the built in armor and new defenses you probibly wont need other armor.

You will gradually have to surrender merch/doc skills as you build through padawan. At some point, you will unlock a second slot which you may do with what you please (give up jedi on merch/doc and pursue with new char, make new char merch/doc, make new char jedi too, whatever)

Will Jedi be allowed to own houses?

I believe it has been mentioned before that they can own houses up to a certain point - But i would assume that about the time they are given access to the enclaves, they will no long have a need for housing.

If it's the same character, are we able to use our current skills with jedi skills?

Up to a point, you can intertwine FS abilities with current abilities. But there will come a point where you must surrender your skills to pursue jedi to it's fullest (if you so choose)

No, it means that you will progress through the quest system faster than someone who has mastered 2.

If I read this right, Jedi will no longer be allowed the use of armor other than the robes the earn?

This is correct (from what i understood also) - Looks like the stronger the jedi, the stronger the robe.

Sorry all, but I'm really confused on this.

Overall - i am personally VERY excited for the new quest system. My first holo said Rifleman, i was going up that route anyway... my second said Chef - I just laughed, and my holo grinding stopped right there. This system will give those that dont want to destroy their character the ability to unlock their Jedi too... The only fear will be that the quests involve things that require you to do things that only certain professions can (i.e. kill hard mobs, craft <insert item here>, etc...) which will just give us a new form of hologrinding. The devs have quite the challenge in making quests that are accessable to everyone!

I would like to start of by saying that this is not a cry, whine, b%^&*, or a gripe. This is a searh for knowledge and understanding.

My question is on the Jedi/BH balance.

BH can outdamage Jedi, wear armor, with stims can rival our healing(especially with pub 19) they get a new Heavy lightening cannon, and can prevent our heals with roots now stop us from healing.

Jedi canwear armor, but it costs us 89 skill points(innate), our damage is about 1/2 (if we have a near perfect saber) our heals now are inadaquite. Where is the balance, 1.5:1 is one thing, but this is not even 1:1. There are alot of good things in this publish, but the good outway the bad.

Can someone please enlighten me because I am obviously missing something. I have not been a Jedi but for a couple of months, can some of the elder Jedi break it down for me?

PDPoc

13 months to unlock Jedi $194.87
6 months to become "Full temp" $87.96

Having SOE take it all away in a single patch...Priceless

Actually it works something like this...

The devs like to make us all feel loved, so every other month they pick a different profession to nerf.

This month Jedi got the short straw.

Nah, hell, most of this stuff really isn't that bad if it weren't for the BH/Jedi equation. I have a feeling its not going to be as bad as we all fear anyway once we learn to adapt to it but we'll see.
