if my datapad is full ..i cannot accomedate the plethera of requests for training/mounting..so it's easier to just not advertise than try to explain why i can't accomadate the person's request

Ever since geting MCH that's the only title I've worn. I'm proud of that title, it took so long to get it I'm sure not going to get rid of it because there are a few whiners out there. I find that I rarely ever get tells for training pets, just about the only tells I get are for skills in the CH tree. Course I only go into town to get buffed so not being in a city very long might have something to do with it. Be fore I hit MCH I would spend a lot of time in towns and so got a lot of tells, but now spending hardly any time in towns I get hardly any tells. It's kinda nice.

I display, Master Creature Handler, tend to tell folks I dont have time to train their pets to be anything other than a mount, for one single reason. When someone goes trys to search for a MCH to come tame a baby bull, i want them to be able to find me.


I think pack master is a nice title too though.

I usually have my MCH title up, but since I got it back I get tons of tells requesting pets, then I explain it takes a week to find and train a mount and well......

Yea i know what ya mean. I espically like it when the newbs ask "hey can ya give me a free pet??". Do I look like a charity to you? If i have an extra pet that I dont need I'll give it away, but some people demand I give them one of my 200k special BE orders.............

I am always willing to train someones pet. Also, if someone requests a mount or some other pet, I tell them I'll find it but it will cost more depending on how long it takes me. I don't want to waste a whole day of my time to get a lesser dewback that will earn me 1k.

For me it depends if I'm busy or not...If I don't want to be bothered, I don't wear any tag at all, but if I'm feeling social, and I have the room in my datapad, I wear the mch title

I switch between Master Creature Handler, Creature Empath, and then Imperial Ace with my rank for RP purposes. Sometimes when I where the Empath title people don't even realize that I'm a CH. They ask, "Hey, what's an Empath?"

I might get a /tell every couple of days for pet training, but other than that it's not bad. One guy even tipped me 100k for training his 2 pets!

Nobody ever tips me. Well, I think one person gave me like 5k... Nothing any good. But I enjoy my profession and I never mind helping others out. One person wanted me to tame his Kimoglia for him so he could use it and he just couldn't understand why he couldn't control a Kimoglia and was made at the devs for making CH a profession and said that anybody should be able to control any level pet

Yup, that's always a problem. I get tells out of the blue with Pack Master as well, which is one of my favorite titles.


I've been maintaining an open slot since I retrained MCH, and it's come in very handy. But some of the requests I get are pretty much outrageous, like novices demanding I giive them a higher level pet. Frankly, I don't have any "expendable" critters...well, perhaps one or two that I might seek a good home for if I happen to come across a GPS or bull rancor...but in general, my pets are my companions, not commodities. I have an irrational attachment to most of them.


What I WILL do is tame on consignment for someone. If they're looking for a mount, I can refer them over to Zanti the mad scientist who will cook up a CL 10 bantha for them. I've gone out and looked for slicehounds because someone asked me nicely if I could find them a dog to be a companion. If they want a lesser dew, I'll be happy to go to Tat and search the Jundland wastes for a lesser dew baby for them, and make an appointment in a week to train it as a mount for them. I make sure that every new guild member knows that one of the perks is a mount critter tamed by the PA MCH, and ask them what type of mount they'd like to have.

I know quite a few CH's on Sunrunner that dont wear the title just because of the taming requests. I wear mine all the time and I usually receive these tells..


"CH's are really scarce on this server... can you please tame a pet for me?"


Every CHI meet I add to my friends list and a lot of them dont play everyday. Some of the requests are annoying due to the fact that they want a "special" wording for every command to be taught. I usually run a macro for training be pets for non-ch pets with all the normal short commands. I tame everyones pet for free and have received a lot of tips in return, but neways they are scarce and they are hiding. If you use them frequently.. add them to your friends list cuz if they are not on your planet, but online.. more than likely they will know a CH that is hiding/standing right next to you.
