Ugh I know what u mean. I think the last tip I got for training a pet was a free doc buff and that was weeks ago.

I tend to leave my brackaset male mount (natural tame) parked outside the Coronet cantina while I'm inside. Just the other day I got a tell from someone asking if they could have it (not if they could buy it). I told him it was level 30, and he went 'Oh, never mind.'

The title I've displayed pretty much since the day I've had it (did display TKM and MCH, but only for a little bit) is 'Explorer', because that feels most fitting tome.

My pets are my companions, and we fight side by side, and they have saved my butt many times. There's no feeling like the oneI get whenI sight the baby that I've spent days searching for....

Oh, and Joker, if you see this, congrats on the bull......you lucky %$#@*&^%$

I usually have the titles off, because for me it is better roleplaying. However, when I do put my titles up I usually use "Sniper" or "Pack Master" as either sound better than the Master to me.

I mostly user MRanger as title, since that's my main profession. But when in a town and seeing other CHs always comes to chatter a bit and then ofcourse some tells start coming in about training, getting pets and so on.. I don't mind helping out then. If they tip me something that's nice. If they don't well suit yourself.

Worn mine ever since I got it - but the /tells seem to come in bunches, like buses. A few at once then none for ages.

The most common pet I've been asked for would be a bantha by far. I only carry my Bull Bantha around with me though.

The next common question is to mount a pet they have recently purchased. Often the pet is below the stage at which you can mount it and I have to explain that to them. End up training it for them anyway and advise them to seek another CH (or myself if im around) when it's at the correct level.

I wear my MCH title a lot, I switch from my Master Dancer title to MCH often depending on what I am doing. When I do have my MCH title on I will be glad to mount people's pets as long as they are respectful when they ask and don't spam me to death. Usually if someone asks me if they can have a pet I tell them that I don't carry pets for sale and send them to a couple of my favourite BE's that sell pets...but if they are annoying me and spamming me I just do a /pet on them and tell them to have a nice day =)

Well I wear my Pack Master tag all the time, because I use all but 5 slots on my datapad to train moutns and non-ch pets. I don't make a killing but I certainly don't go hungry. And if we as CH's don't get out there and make them want to pay us for our services then they never will.

As a caste we have become so introverted that 90% of the players have no idea what it is we have to do to practice our trade. If a person does not respect your efforts they will not bother with tipping you. I charge what the market will bear, but also do not sell myself short. I sell all types and as such can offer to all price ranges. I have 200 HAM mount-only pets for 10k. I sell the tamed naturals for 20-40k. And I surf between every BE I know of looking for good stat non-CH pets. These pets fetch at the least 100k for 6k health mounts and upwards of 500k-800k for uber lvl10 meatsheilds.

My profits are respectable and average at a 300% markup for the time to grow them and train them. Nine times out of ten the people I sell to are happy to pay my prices. think about how much people pay for armor that lasts a month. Our pets last forever. The occasional jerk will try and tell me that I have it all wrong and am supposed to give them away for free. No worries though, they normally leave when I tell them to "take a hike". If not? Oh well, plenty of other pedestrians to deal to.

So fellow CH's we all must unite and bring an end to this hatred shown to us by the Devs, and this neglect from the other players. If you don't charge anyhting to train their pets then no one can. I say to hell with tips, I say "Pay me!" and if they try to weasel out of the deal then keep the pet. It is idiotic to think that we do not deserve payment for training pets. If that is the case then smugglers need to slice my stuff for free too. Medics and dancers should just be happy we let them stay, and a buff shouldbe worth 1k.

Have some respect for yourselves CH's.....lord knows that out of anyone we have certainly earned it.

The other day I left my toon afkspamming in Naboo that I was looking to buy a Frenzied Graulwith my Bullout and when I got back I had several tellsfrom peoplewho wanted mount training, CH advice, free pets, people wanting to buy pets as decorations for houses(apparently they think CHs are the ones putting pets on vendors for BEs), and even one guy telling me that a FG was gonna be expensive since they are extinct. He didnt have one to sell or anything, but he just thought I should know that it was gonna be expensive. No $#!7 sherlock as if I didnt know that and like I would be afk spamming if I didnt have the money................Were NOT ALL POOR!!! Its really just amazing how many people have no clue about our profession. Ok rant off..............

I wear my title with pride. I always take the time to help people with their pet training needs and enjoy having a chat with most of them about their pets. I never ask for money, and when people ask what I charge Ireply that I do this as a free service, because I like helping people. I could ask for a trinket for doing this, but I have other ways to make money that are much faster than this - and the relatively fewpeople I help for free could hardly ruin someones training business.

I've met some of the coolest people in the game through training their pets, and that is my main reward - I can always get credits.

Oh, and the last guy I helped tipped me 50k for a simple training and told me to call on him if I ever needed help with high end content...

Joker, your last post reminded me of something re: cluelessness of non-chs.

Went to a live event last month. For the fun of it (and cause I'm a show-off), I called out my bull rancor (Bully) and set him outside a PA hall and went inside. From inside, this is the conversation I hear going on outside:

"Ooh! Nice rancor- that a mutant? Ohh..... onlya bull"

Only a bull?? Pfft. So I guess in non-ch land, mutant rancors are tameable and rare and bull rancors are commonplace. *sigh*

As to the title-wearing- my main never wore her title because I don't like titles in general. Also, I never had any free slots. On my 'zookeeper' alt, I put up the MCH tag for pride. But since he's my *alt*, he's usually sitting afk somewhere till I need him while I play my main. Nothing worse than trying to fight off a swarm of angry screechers on one computer while trying to explain to a noob on the other why he can't use a CL30 piket at novice, no matter how much he begs for it.

So now his title is back down again. Besides, he only has room for 1 more pet at the moment, and that's being saved for a GPS if I ever find one.
