Just wanted to add my thanks to the group. You're helping us CH that are looking forward to this patch a lot.

Yes, Tivo, kudos for your hard work. Even for those who are not looking forward to the patch, lol.
You at least are letting us know what it coming with HAM and CL, resists.
What I would like to know now is how the specials work.

mountain vesp - 7.5k ham, no armor, 35% kinetic, 10% energy/blast/restraint
thanks, I scanned over the thread, must have missed it. I've got two of them right now, guess they're going in the dumpster. is the general consensus around here that one big pet is pretty much going to be the only way to fly? that's what it keeps looking like to me.
This is not a nerf.
It is the first part of a dramatic overhaul of the entire combat system - go read Thunderheart's post on the development board.
Creature rebalancing is the first step. For a month, yes, Creatures will be weaker than we've grown accustomed to.
LATER, after the rest of the overhaul is done, things will even out again.
Don't take my word for it, since I feel the old one-star bat coming on... go read his post. Weapons will be reworked for damage, skills will be reworked for effectiveness, and the HAM system is being revamped as well.
It may indeed be a temporary nerf to CH until the *REST* of the new system is implemented. But once it is, the power level of Master CH's should pan out and improve quite a bit.

Omegaplex, I truly hope you are right and I am wrong.
But after seeing our power steadily diminish for 5 straight months now, you have to see why I'm skeptical.
/sigh
is there anyone out there looking for babies as hard as i am? could use some help guys, and a little less arguing please. put it in thethreads that begin with arguing, this thread is for stats and baby findings.
thanks guys, oh, and i found a lair with only 1 merek deaths head...bug? or chance to be tamebale?

Yes, this is the story.
I just hope that the devs stick to the plan over the entire three month period. I have a sick feeling that they'll forget what they were doing around late January and the CH profession will be stuck on the short end of the stick, again.
These guys do not inspire confidence in me, with some of the "temporary" changes they've made (remember mob warping to get around pathing problems?) that they've promptly forgotten that they instituted.
Also, they have a very marked tendency not to absorb and retain lessons learned from previous debacles. Every major patch has taken longer than they anticipated, and they've committed some of the same blunders from patch to patch.
Don't get me started on bugs reported on new builds on TC that are allowed to be left in for the patch to the live servers.

I have looked everywhere. Have King Merek Harvester babies come back?
i havent even run into a single king or queen merek harvester adult let alone baby during all my time on Endor. where are they usually found? i have searched around both outposts, even walked all over the desert as well as walked from outpost to outpost.
What about spitting rawls? I still have the little guy on me, and interested in how bad they will be nerfed. They got 100% acid resistance, but like 20% kenetic and no armor so do they NEED to be nerfed.
And if the devs are nerfing all this HAM and armor, I better see a reduction of CL, AND a viable way to heal my pets, since without armor your pet gets chewed and spit out fast expecially by NPCS.
How will bioengineered pets be affected. I have a Bol pet,, will he keep his current ham or will he get nerfed too. My BEangler ( favorite pet ) is also going to be nerfed it seems. Anglers currently have 15% resistance in 4 areas and No armor and about 5k ham THEY SUCK AS IS =)
and a little something to ponder, with all this "nerf armor & resistance" of the CH pets... the devs might be doing this in preperation for a big Bio engineer reviving. After all, in the SWG playersguide, the info says "Bio engineers can mix genes and creat creatures far more powerful than those found in the wild." or something similar. Maybe the devs are nerfing wild pets in preperation for A BE ressurection... hmmmmm
