I think everyone summed up my issues, except I was wondering if MCH could get some kind of pardon for the 15 sec wait time to call pets? I understand that it's not along period of time, but if you use your pets as your main tool for combat then it can be a little frustrating. I mean what if they installed a 15 second delay for everyone who wanted to use their gun or knuckler?

If you think 15 seconds is bad, try calling three pets and a harvester droid out before a battle. I wrote a macro to do if and I take the occasion and go refill my drink glass and go pottie.

I have to agree it doesn't seem fair that any other profession can change weapons in an instant - even during a fight. Also, why do we have to wait 60 seconds after a fight is over to store our pets? This seems even more absurd.

IMHO they do it to prevent griefing. IE you can call/store pets during/before combat at any time. This would allow you to cycle through pets.

My solution that IMHO would work better and be more fair
Situation 1: You are not in combat, and haven't been in combat for at least 30 seconds.
1. You can call any/all pets up to your max level immediatly
2. You can store any/all pets immediatly.

Situation 2: You just finished combat, but are not in combat any more.
1. You can store any/all pets immediatly.
2. You can not call any more pets for up to 30 (give or take) seconds after combat.

Situation 3: You are currently engaged in combat.
1. You can't store any pets that are out until after combat. (This prevents you from evading pet vitality loss during combat. Also prevents storing one pet, and calling another one during combat)
2. If you don't have a pet out, you can call 1 and ONLY 1 pet immediatly. (This is your weapon, so you had better choose wisely)
3. If you already called a pet/had one out during combat, you may not call another one until 30 seconds after combat. This includes if your pet is incapped.

Feel free to give CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. I will admit if I'm wrong, or if you point out a flaw in my logic (There are probably many of these, lol). Ko, maybe if we polish this up with the best ideas from the community you can present it to the devs?

Before they implement this though they would have to fix some more important issues. IE Novice CH XP cap.

I think the pet timers are out of date.

My take on it is no timers to call pets period, except when engaged in combat. If the combat ends it ends, in 5 seconds or 30 seconds what difference does it make as griefing goes? As protection to a ch it makes a big difference especially now.

In cities there is no timers for calling and storing petsother than combat. Why should this not be applied in the field? I also think that when calling a pet and are attacked that the pet should still be allowed to come forth instead of the petcalledcancelled. How many people have died and visited the cloner waiting for a pet to pop out and a lair or npc spawned right next to you.

Everything in this game revolves around innate defenses now, our pets areour innate defense and we need them at time asap.

The only reason I still had some kind of timer in was to prevent you from getting your pet incapped then calling a new pet right after combat. That would be like any other profession being able to heal their action/mind immediately after combat. Some kind of regen time is needed right? I could be wrong... It's happened before :-) What's every one elses take on this?

Oh, one more thing. I think if we send our pets into combat, we should be in combat as well. When/if the mob kills our pet it should come after me. Otherwise we could exploit this all day. As it stands right now in PVE, I can send my pet into combat, and stand back, not get into the fray, and walk away if any thing was to go wrong. I can always find another lvl 69-70 pet, but cloning sucks.

If a pet gets incapped then I agree if using the radial menu in the datapad a timer should be placed, to add to this though I also think if the ch gets to his pet and uses the incap recovery on the pet through the pets radial menu then he should be able to store and call it with no timers as long as the ch isn't in combat.

As for the auto-combat thing you mention if our pets are fighting, I disagree fromthe point of view that if we are using mask scent and it hasn't broken and we are a reasonable distance away then we should remain out of combat since the creature supposedly doesn't realise we are there. NPC's are a different story, if our pets attack them then they should be intelligent enough to realise we are there also and should be allowed to attack us if they deem it wise lol.

I have always used camps when out alone I still like them and enjoy the little heals they give. But like camps for scouts being a bit obsolete so is the timers, many people who loved ch through the years dropped it out of frustration because people wouldn't wait for them when hunting with friends or guildmates. Since they didn't have much fun as the lairs or mobs were killed by the others as the ch waited for the 1st pet to come they eventually dropped it and took another combat template. I know several ch that did this. Although I was always more of a solo player many people aren't.

Keep up the work though I think this is important and should be looked at in the near future and changed to conform to the new system.

I think my Biggest issue with CH, apart from all the obvious stated is that when I get my ASS almost beaten to a pulp hacking through a lair of level 80 creatures to get a baby, dying and getting beaten black and blue ..... only to be rewarded with a baby that MAXES out ata lvl 16 with POOR HEALTH and a CRAPPY ATTACK ! OK .... So Mum and Dad almost wiped the floor with me, nasty Health of 6000+ and Attacking me for and average of 150+ per hit, I thought MMMMmmmm ! I want one of these !

Fantastic ... my reward ... a Lvl 16, Health 3000 and Damage Avg 98

What have I missed... Did I get the runt of the litter ???? If I left him alone would he have grown up to be a lvl 80 ????

In the design for realism....... have I misunderstood ?????????

I'm not offering a solution, simply stating that this part of CH ..... apart from the bugs, makes it a little frustrating, because people now will simply not put the effort into taming creatures or playing with them if they know mass effort is NOT going to be rewarded .... and CH's will all be running around with the same pets.

BORING !

Just an opinion !

Yeah...you did a level conversion instead of a stat conversion. Nothing can be done about it.

Here's my biggest problem i have right now with CH... the "you can't tame that" bug... reaaallly annoying... it seems it happens when a baby aggro's you and then after that no matter what i do i cant tame anything... i literally have to log out of the game for a couple hours and then log back in and maybe sometimes it readjusts itself, but by then the spawn is gone and and i have to search all over again... or i'm really not having any luck with babys coming from mission lairs... they all tell me, not matter what, it is that i cant tame that. i've made sure i wasn't aggroing the babys or anything else, im master ch and i have a +16 taming clothes i wear, i dont have a full datapad, so thats not the problem... its a very annoying bug or maybe its something im not aware of that changed due to cu... dont know... if others can tell me wether your having the same problems, i'd appreciate it... i've seen some similar problems but these are my theories on the problem. thanks

get all taming +25/+25 clothes. get as many mask scent mods as you can. use mask scent obviously and also use the mask scent +10 stims that are lootable.

make sure no adults near and also i would say store all pets as well as having datapad space.

i have had this "bug" happen on a baby and have run away, stored pets and re-masked scent and when i went back i could tame the same baby no problems even though it had aggroed me earlier (i think because of pet)

anyway it is workable just prepare well

The only grumps I have is cl1 showing on pets that are not cl1. The other is those same pets are stubborn both in and out of combat. They get recommanded every three hits to attack, they need reminded all the time to follow, just pig headed pets.

For the suggestion box, there needs to be some kind of diversity in creatures. Ihaveno issue with slaughtering bugs with cl65 - 69 if it gets the job done. I would be less tempted to do that with a 'cool' pet. Right now I find alot of the truly powerfull pets are nasty critters and they make great fodder. Make some power petsthe elites we like to show off inSP and they lose a utility. Right now it's too convenient how our trophy pets never get damage because they aren't powerfull enough to handle the field work.I have 30% pets and 70% livestock in my DP. Master Livestock handler?

Gimmie /peace again. The radial is just too darn hard to work.
