I'm not sure we need to change correspondents, but we definately need a change for the better for our profession. I don't know if Vert has been trying hard enough or not, but I do know that CH has gone down the drain this last year and I don't believe Vert has done enough to get our frustration across to the devs. I also don't like the fact that Vert won't pass on our complaints about the spawns because he/she doesn't agree. The correspondent's job is to be the conduit between us and the devs not the stopgap. Vert keep the job but do it better. CH's have good reason to be angry about what has been done to us and we deserve attention from the devs.

NO VOTE.
As a correspondent, he can't have his own life?
Geeze.
Why dont you become the correspondent and see if you can do half the job?

Hi
i do not believe this a thread to vote against Vert` WHY !, think for amoment and but your hands up and tell us all, whyyou feel this way to a guy who is doing his best for us all, i have read quite a lot of the other profession forums and they all have thier share of the dev's not listening, what do you want Vert to do put a gun to the dev's heads, if people are not complaning about the game (i have) then thier complaning about theguy thats trying to help us ( i have not)

Having been to fanfest, and having served Sony in an online capacity sometime ago, I cannot support your supposition that anyone can be responsible for Sony's lack of response or even communication to its paying customer base. Essentially the unpaid volunteers who man the front line gives the Development team plausible deniability. Their first concerns have been Jedi since last fall when the public and players began growing disenchanted with the lack of Jedi. If you had been to Fanfest you would have heard that Jedi and Jump to Lightspeed are taking all their resources. I believe they did confess that sometime is put to critical day to day issues (server failing to restart etc) but for sometime now this is a Jedi/New Release universe. Deal with it.
Look around at the other forums, correspondents quit in frustration or just leave. Granted I am new to Creature Handler, a mere two months, but it is in as good a shape as many other professions. Changing a correspondent will in no way effect the power of the profession. If you want to rule, then you will be forced to do FOTM type templating. Again, not my decision but simply the only recourse with Sony's commitments. When Jump to Lightspeed comes, concerns for everything from Smuggler to CH will be buried as people fly off into space. Clearly that would be an objective in SOE's management teams collective brain.
So like it or not, we will be forgotten for sometime. Of course they may throw bones to the CH profession if they see the numbers starting to drop (witness Image Designer). I think if you trace timelines for anything here in SWG you will see a certain pattern emerging from SOE. A good correspondent is a must but in reality its more important to have a C who has thick skin and can deal with being ignored patch after patch. I cannot imagine its fun to not get new or innovative changes inserted while you watch Jedi go from Non-existent to everywhere, from weak to Godlike. Heck, after JTL the combat rebalance will be coming so its likely CH changes will wait on that as well.
Just my two cents.

I have much confidence in Vert. Vert is doing the best job that anyone can do at this time.... With JTL and Jedi on the brain, the dev's will not likely listen to anything that Vert has to say right now. I would rather keep Vert.

I have faith in Vert's communication abilities. We all know the Dev's opinion of CH, and that is most emphatically NOT Vertexon's fault in any way, shape or form. And just because he doesn't follow your view doesn't mean that he doesn't represent most of us. The most important part of the correspondent's job IMO and from the description of what a correspondent does, is to bring issues to the devs, and propose SOLUTIONS THAT MIGHT ACTUALLY GET IMPLEMENTED. Sorry those aren't the ones you personally want, Pluto. He's got to keep the fixes easy and speak slowly so they understand and things actually have a chance of getting fixed/changed/implemented. He's also got to keep things going in directions that the devs want to hear. There's been 2 posts, one mine, one Verts, that have asked for combat effectiveness ideas for CH. None of these have gotten much input at all, but everyone still complains about combat. The devs ask for combat, and that's all they're listening to right now. So, should I bump my post and give you a chance to add to it?
(you made me break a promise I made Sunday, sorry guys)

i'd like to believe life is what you make out of it.
saying something like life is a representation of the state of mind of sony developers is just too disturbing to comprehend.

I admire your optomism, but things happen in life that arent fair and arent your fault, or anybody elses.
