hello fellow rare hunters.

due to the recent hunting experience of myself and other players, i am going to update the rare list. so be sure to check it out and let me know how i did

as for the gurk destroyer, it is a lair boss. and just like all other lair bosses, despite saying they are tamable, they are not. some people may liketo believe otherwise, however, to me it makes much more sense for a lair boss not to have a baby. plus not one baby of their kind has been found yet, and to add to this topic: i think its finally safe to say that the frenzied graul is not spawning babies unfortunately. hopefully it along with many others will be fixed in publish 10. good hunting

I agree, I've since given up trying to find Frenzied Graul Babies, at least for now, and have turned my attention over the past week or so to look for a Bull Rancor Baby.

I've been grabbing Bull Rancor missions mostly, so I can at least make some money in the process, but was wondering, as someone else also queried, ifthe chance of a baby only exists in wildlairs or if my chances are just as good/bad doing mission lairs?

i've been searching for a bull rancor baby since january 12th. since then i have done nearly 400 bull rancor lairs...most missions, but ive also done a good number of wild ones too.

and i have done my homework. ive come to conclude that you have just as much chancefinding a baby from a wild lair as you do a mission lair. you just have to be in the right place at the right time. i havent given up the hunt, come close, but not quite. as you can imagine after over 4 months of searching it can really drive you to insanity. i tried hologrinding while i waited for word from my fellow players as they looked for me. but all i got in return was sick of looking and sick of grinding. it made me bored of the game.

so be careful in your hunt, it can easily lead to the dark side as for me, i try to log in every now and again...waiting for my day to come, but for now i am having fun playing KOTOR. hopefully soon we will get all creatures under CL 70 as babies which will give me something to do again, and bring me back to the game iused tolove.good hunting

Well, I don't really know what to believe. I do know that if the system is working as we've been told it should, anything that says Tamable: Yes should have a non-zero chance. The system could be totally borked and not at all working that way... I dunno. If it is working, the frequency rate seems to need some adjustment.

I guess I just can't accept lack of sightings as positive proof of non-existence. It's like trying to disprove bigfoot or extra-terrestrials. So call me the Art Bell of creature handling if you will... I'm not 100% convinced either way, personally. I have been blasting bol lairs lately without even seeing an adult of these swift-charging bosses, though.

Think mastering another elite combat profession alongside Creature Handling, then, think missions...missions....missions....and more missions.

Pets are yours and yours, alone. Noone will shell out money for a pet when they can just get a good suit of Composite.

Creature Handling is a personal pleasure for most of us here, the rest are just passing through it on the long Holo-highway.

Are prowling gurrecks still rare? I had 3 tamed last night, but I dumped them all for a pair of "regular" gurrecks and an arachne webmaster.

I'll take it a step farther, CH is utterly useless compared to the "uber" templates if your goal is to make money.

Like Tivo, I play SWG (or did) because I want to play and enjoy this class. Period.

The devs dont like the class. Other players used to hate the class. Now they just pity us.

However, to those of us that "get it"... it's easily the most fun that is to be had in the game. For about a month I couldn't WAIT to come home and resume my fruitless search just to see and ADULT widow on Endor,a Bull on dath, or a Stalker on correlia (none of which I ever managed to tame).I truly felt this was going to be the next great innovation in gaming. But, after a while... you have to PLAY... and the search isn't enough.

Sadly, we've been emasculated to the point of frustration. This frustration and the impossibly-rare nature of some pets that aren't close to as good as things we could buy (that still suck compared to a melee class) has led many of us to retire.

Bottom line: I greatly admire SWG as a piece of software. As a designer it's just a masterful conglomeration of systems and interface. But, the actual play experience (FOR ME! I applaud everyone that loves the game still) has been largely ruined. I WILL be back one more time after the combat rebalace to see if we have been made viable beyond just our own personal joy in collecting.

Other than that, I will only be on once a week to take a fast spin around Endor. Can you believe I am the only CH on Ahazi (and probably the only player in existance) that has NEVER seen an ADULT arachnae widow let alone a baby?

Addendum: I'd like to thank Tivo for keeping such a mature, responsible attitude in his postings since he too found frustration and semi-retired. I have no illusions about how I tend to post - whiny and bitter - and he's been a solid guiding example.

I've hit backspace any number of times thinking "bah, Tivo would never say something that whiny."

I had to delete 3 gurrecks yesterday to clear some room. Not sure why these are on even the "moderately hard to locate" list. I find these lying around like old socks in a locker room.

I'd gladly trade 10 for a widow sighting.

Giant peko peko aren't extinct. I saw two babies just this week but I'm unfortunately not able to tame them yet Both wereon corbantis server.
