Thread: Why do so many CH's scoff at BE pets?

I was a MCH and MBE for a few monthsand dropped MCH to try out doctoring (all my chars always have some CH as it is still a fun prof). I am keeping BE 4024 to make pets for fun. There are 2 reasons I dropped CH down to novice and kept BE:

1 - BE pets make taming hunts somewhat of a joke, especially since i can make my own pets. You can get more skins taming, but the power gap is pretty brutal

2 - BE is a crumby grind to gain the skill boxes where-as CH is long, but more entertaining

BE pets should be ar MOST 25% even using generational clones. The system is unbalanced and really hurts the CH profession. If wilds could compete I would have kept MCH for sure. FYI - Even though I kept novice CH when I sell my clones (no vendor) I tell them to go to a CH for training or refer them to a nonBE CH (I only make nonCH and low level pets now). I miss the days as a MCH when I would come pack from hunts with a datapad full of GSP's or rock beetles to sell to new owners and actually make some money. Now you can hardly give those pets away.

LAME!

GreenStok,

Though I make mainly non armor low level pets now I made and sold dozens of 'kinetic tanks' for creature mobs like the one you described for 60K(1K per clvl +10K for amor, ENor KN% over 50 and certain specials) on Chimaera

I could make 5 pets like that in a 3-4 hour sampling crafting run, so the time output was minimal. (they sold out quick so I was averaging 80-100K an hour)

I see threads on the BE forum all the time ranting on BE's who sell pets for a realistic amount. For example, 60-100K for a nonCH pet that has high stats but is an easy 1st gen clone. I sell those same pets for 25K or less.

I am no longer MBE, but have been pursueing it since october. The fix of our prof was great, but still needs alot of work. There are alot of gougers out there but 90% of them are new BE's who don't remember being part of a lame broken prof. Lot's of opportunists, but also alot of good BE's who really enjoy the crafting system and are probably CH themselves to one degree or another.

THese ar1, 60 kin sub CL 40 pets are not that hard to make and are first generation. Starsider has still not replied and if they do not reply, I will start a BE there myself.

Quite frankly, this pet is easier for me to make than a good CL 10.
