OK, sorry, I had a meeting there for a bit.

So I hear ya. My takeaways form the thread here are:

  • We screwed up the gurreck change by not compensating for the armor reduction at the same time as we made the reduction

  • We are overestimating the value of the armor (we may have to agree to disagree on this one--but if we can compensate for the armor in other ways, will that be sufficient?)

  • You aren't competitive in combat compared to combat classes--and the issue isn't so much being an even match, but but in the ballpark. We're overstimating the value of the pets, basically.

  • There's a lot of bugs with pathfinding, pets getting autostored, etc, that we need to address.

I that a fair summation?

no you forgot my concerns..you arent fit for this job, you dont need to be here, so quit, get fired, whatever and get someone in here who WILL fix the game without the constant sadist need of punishing people who pay for the privledge of getting nerfed..

Holo,

have you actually watched any of the star wars movies. Did you see Luke run from a rancor. In your SWgalaxy luke will just beat the poor rancor to death. Knock it down and kick the hell out of it. And the new episodes? ah why the hell do I bother.

Look - can we stick out pets in the cloning machine, pay a 1000 per pet and get a cloned pet every time someone deathblows it. Pets are just like characters - they even have emotes - well tricks actually. Why do pets lose vitality???

Ohh here's an idea. To understand exactly what you did to our class implement that vitality thing to all live characters. Let's see how long SWG will be alive

Now read the above twice.

I have a cat I've named it - I buy ingredients for food I play with it and my friends like to pet it. Now I was incapped and the cat was death blowed. Guess what - it happpens - it can happen to a cat, to a rancor - if I had a lvl 4000 creature it could happen to it. Guess what happens with that cat - which I realize is just a piece of data in your database but it's a piece of data I have memories with. This cat, this piece of data that can keep me in game gets destroyed.

Now next cat I have will be taught commands but will not be givven a name. Why bother. Oh yes And if I wanted to sell a pet I can't get anywhere near what a weaponsmith charges for a good gun. Why - in the future it might be a mount - now pets are nothing. Not even a tamagochi.

Understand - most people like to see the 100/100. If it's less than perfect why keep the thing. Most people want PETS. What you give them is something impersonal and DISPOSABLE.

There's so many things that you can do. Vitality packs can be the temporary solution. Maybe you need to get the creature looked at a medical center. Or healed by a bio engineer. Anything will be better than permanent loss of vitality. Lets face it - humans or other races are much weaker than something wild and powerful and 10k ham .Yet the creatures lose vitality.

And don't even start me on regeneration - why is there so much hate in you Holo. Did a gurreck kill you in a PvP. What happened. Why everyday you sink to new dephts. IT'S reached rock bottom now. CAn you please stop

Ok, here is my reply for when you asked what is an irritant to a Master CH

It's not just the Healing that's driving people nuts, that;s just the tip of the iceberg, it's the bugs.

My goodness, the bugs add to the frustration, if there were less bugs, then these 'fixes' wouldn't have such an impact.

I like the Gurreck pet, hands down, i like him more than any other, why not let the Gurreck be the Masters pet, make it level 70, leave his armor 2, give him a bit more to hit, maybe some more damage.

When people see a Gurreck, they'll now it's controlled by a master CH, not just any local yokel that has CH ability.

This can be the one defining pet for the entire class.

Instead of breaking it, try and make it something special.

But that's just my opinion.

"I that a fair summation?"

Its part of it yes.

The biggest problems are far as I know from talking to other CH's are:

1. MCH isnt worth it, 3 pets are useless even 2 are most MCH's use 1 tough pet or 2 at most.

2. With no or very little regen on pets there is no way stims should cost 3k a piece, fix the difficulty on making them.

3. Pets shouldnt get permanent HAM reductions from loosing vitality, make vitality loss permanent but leave HAM alone, making people get new pet every week is not working out for us.

4. GIVE US BABYS BACK, I spend like 3 days trying to find any tough creature babys and there are none.

5. TALK to us before you make changes, take a day just to talk to us than make changes on test server than test than go live, dont just nerf our pets overnight that will make people very very mad.

NO Raph it's not fair enough. You have not addressed the fact the MASTERS have nothing now.

Now you are going to make OUR gurreck a lower cl so this fact is even more valid.

In all honesty Raph, the Masters deserve something.

You are missing:

  • The is little benefit to gaining MCH.

  • Non-CHs have the ability to store more pets than a Novice CH.

1. Sure, reducing armor should reduce CL or increase something else. That's fair.

2. I don't disagree with you there. Armor 2 was awesome, I loved it.

3. The problem with combat is CH w/weapon will always be better then just weapon alone. This is true for faction pets also.

If you try to nerf CH until this isn't true anymore, then CH will be nothing in terms of combat. So, the alternative is to make CH a "weponless" combat class. I can't use a rifle and a pistol at the same time after all.

4. Yes, the issues with CH bugs make combat chaotic at best.

Thanks for your time.

Yes, BUT... like mentioned above:

1) The limit of 70 for MCH

The above and all the pathing and combat bug are the top 2.

might as well not tell that idiot nothing..push for him to be fired that is the only way ALL CLASSES will get addressed, its not just about ch, its about everything they have taken to make people waste their time.

Why o why are you constantly ignoring the questions on the 70 CL front ? Just give us a straight answer , Does getting MCH deserve a higher CL than 70 ?? Or are we all just wasting our time with MCH ??

just wrote a great post, it was eaten

in summary

--no kliknik queens or arachnes, and now gurrecks are armor 1. is the lack of kliknik queen and arachne babies an intentional thing? (ie, getting rid of armor 2 from CH arsenal?)

--pet regeneration should come back, especially after these changes to armor. it's not significant enough to change a fight (Ham coming back in the battle) but it makes for alot of downtime (afterwards). the only way to escape this thing now is use armor 2

--when a patch does eventually get pushed through for these creature changes, please make a post on the CH forum (and probably BE) about what changes to which creatures. it takes a long time for babies to grow, and i'd like to go out and findmypost gurreck setASAP
