mistake what mistake? . why cant a be make a lvl 10 that good. who are you to decide how good a lvl 10 be made pet can be. until someone shows where sony said in writing this is cheating and an expoit, i dont see it as an expoit and cheat. i still have enough ch to control lvl 50 pets. the only reason i have to keep ch is to train these pets for a non ch. i dont use pets for combat, i have enough other combat skills and using pets to be a waste of time and i do the bulk of my figthing on dathomir

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ok this i'l assume your new and have no idea what is going on, do me this one favor before you post back in support of a super lvl 10 pet with 10k ham.

go ingame and submit a ticket to a csr and ask them if a lvl 10 pet with armor, 10k hame, 500 dam and 60 % resitence is an exploit. or if they allow them

it might be a day or so for the reply but then you will hear it from the horses mouth

In one last attempt to explain it I shall just say this a lvl 10 pet with over 10k ham, 500 dam, armor, 60 resistance is in actuality not a lvl 10 pet its a bug, glitch.... forget the lvl number thats the bug

any pet with those stats takes a master creature handler to control so in essence a non ch can use a master ch pet. imagine a rifleman using a power hammer and doing the same dam as a swordsman or even a master artisan using a lightsaber with the same powers as a jedi.

this is the problem and its been around for almost a year if you dont believe me research it and ask a csr ingame.

Jope and friends,

First read back aways to the post where I laid out the basic stats on a CL 10 monster.

Health 10k

Action 6k

Mind 3k

60% kinetic

no armor

Vulnerable in everything else

no specials

damage 110-150 (not 500)

If you push for a special, you will put the creature over the CL 10, if you go for more damage the same, if you add one resist above say 2% again over the CL10.

Reality is if this pet met your GSP the probability of it taking it out is nil. Not enough damage. But if you are a master Sword or TKM, or rifleman, or fill in the blank, where you don't give diddly about damage cause you got these massive specials of your own, then the point of this pet is to take the agro, keep you from getting hit. A master in another combat profession is going to destroy any MOB faster than the pet is going to die, but it will take the damage and that leaves you free to move on to the next target. For a noob it allows you to move with impunity through the lower levels of a profession. Actually once you hit TKM or Master Sword, you can prolly do the Lair faster than it can even get close to killing you. TKM, Master Swords can do a full Enraged rancor lair in about a minute maybe less.

But my biggest concern with these pets is that there is now no need for CH sp to handle a pet that in reality is not a CL 10. Every BE, myself being one, knows that if you try to create something Legit under cl10 it's a challenge. But because of the code these guys get through, there is a bug in the code that both BE's and players are using to traverse around what is the "spirit" of a CL 10 pet. You can rationalize all you like. The Devs did not intend for these pets to be passed, they have said so, and they are actively, so they say, pursuing a way to close the loophole.

Again, my argument is we are being trivialized because these pets are there and our work and our profession and the loss of SP to be MCH is being thrown out the window.

Thus it needs to be fixed. We need CH quests, and we need a niche in the SW world.

Someone mentioned about Jedi's, truth is this game has the worst PVP system, it's click and pwn, or grief. No real skill.

My hope is that in JTL they will actually make you fly, maneuver, shoot your spacecraft like in Tie fighter, Xwing, or Xwing vs Tie. If that happens a lot of wannabe space cadets are going to be sucking vacuum cause baby out there it's totally different pvp than what you see on the ground. I played 2 years of non stop Xwing vs Tie on the Gaming Zone and was part of Rogue Squadron and if that is the engine we are handed I am going to love space. But only after GCW and CB.

Let me add a caveat at the end here, there is nothing easy about BE either and we need to provide BE's with the resources they need to make things. I know I get frustrated as a BE and I am sure many of them are, what we need to do is try and find our niche as BE's and CH's. It's just very difficult when one has been "balanced" (nerfed) and the other has not been given very many or very clear guidelines as to what is ok.

....and then no matter how hard we get nerfed, we still keep CH because we are still some of the coolest characters on the game.

Sky I understood you perfectly but not only are there those pets out there we also still have the lvl 0/1 pets still roaming free I actually was speaking about both types and didnt think to devide em up into diff catagories however im sure a csr would still agree a lvl 10 in this case with those stats shouldn't be capable of being made.

remember way back when, when smugglers could slice weapons pass it to another smuggler to be sliced again and so forth untill a fwg was over 1k dam. just because you can make it and or do it does not mean it is acceptable and is not an exploit. people got banned for that.

i dont think non-ch should even get a pet, its like giving a novice marksman a lightsaber, it shouldnt be allowed, whats the point in being a ch if non-ch can also control pets, if you want to have a pet you must be a ch, thats my opinion though

I think that eventually that's what it will come down to.

I know that BE's using corellian butterfly DNA or durni DNA with no experimentation can create a CL 5 mount. That is a fact. Now a mount like that is just that a mount.

IF BE's could create a CL 5 entertainment pet, emphasis on the PET, and we could train these pets to do certain things, tricks that would be specific to a certain BE deed, then that gives the BE's another market.

I also like the idea that CL 5 or 10 pets would not be able to learn certain combatcommands like attack, patrol. I see a need for guard, but the pet would only attack the MOB when the mob initiates the attack. Again more coding. Yet other things like Trick1, store, transfer, follow would be the standard and nothing more for these low level pets.

....and then no matter how hard we get nerfed, we still keep CH because we are still some of the coolest characters on the game.

The point of non-CHs having pets is so that CHs have somebody to sell to. If non-CHs didn't, handlers would not even have that little trickle of income they use for shuttle tickets.

The issue here is not non-CHs having pets; it's non-CHs having ridiculously overpowered pets - pets that make CH a completely pointless profession to enter. IMO, what would solve this problem partially (and solve a few other problems completely)is to disallow non-CHs to use BE'd pets. It would make CHs the chief supplier of pets and mounts to non-handlers, and make sure that the role of the non-CH pet is that of a companion, and not a juggernaut.

Please inform me how much you make a week on non-ch pet sell? (this I've got to see.)

After reading all these messages I'm beginning to understand why the Devs never change anything based upon the wishes of forum posters. Too many of you want complexsolutions to simple problems.

I'm not sure why you got 1-starred there, but I think this is an important insight. Look at all the players posting all their ideas just on this one issue. Getting two people to agree is doable, but with the 15 or so people in this thread we can't agree completely.

Everyone has grand ideas, and I'm not putting them down whatsoever. The thing is we often think of ideas from our own perspective and not in the manner the Devs are forced to think -- how will this affect the game, other professions, the economy, etc. I see several people taking a stab at those things, but it results in another list of ideas for the Devs to implement.

Discussion is a great thing and I don't think we ever want to stop it, but it sure is evident to me why it is impossible for the Devs to give us feedback on everything!

Unfortunately, most of the time, they give feedback on nothing.

So no matter how simple or complex or compelling or anything the discussion, we never know how close we are to actually having a solution.

It's kind of like doing math, uh is 9 divided by 3 = 3 teacher? Silence 4? Silence 2? Silence.

Even when we are right we are greeted with the same indifference.

i been playing this game since launch. i dealt with csr before on other issues. i lost lots due to a glitch and had to wait months and talk to more then one csr to get them back. for other issuses it was oh sorry cant do anything. i know be's that have reseached what is or is not allowed, one of them i know in rl. based on what they told me csr's dont know or not sure or dont care. one answer i did see from a csr that i always remember was that the game checks the pet every time the owner pulls it and if the pet is not allowed you cant call it, based on that answer wont people assume the pet must be allowed it passed the check
i did meet one be who agrees with you, that these pets should not be allowed but still them because he felt sony wont do anything unless enough people are using them

Im pretty much done debating this issue suffice it to say we agree on disagreeing

did you ask the csr about the lvl 0/1 pets that still exist? the check system in place does not work on all creatures made. this is fact not fiction see me ingame and il prove it.

I'l just ask you a few things and walk away

why do most BE's refuse to make them?and i have read this on they're forums many times

why do most ch refuse to train them?

why are ch angry that the profesion they love is constantly belittled and shoved aside?

(your last csr response says it all)

and my final question do you believe these pets help our ch proffesion in any way or do you believe it hurts the ch profesion by allowing people to use a pet that should be at the least a nov ch pet if not master ch pet?

again an analogy of imagine a master artisan being able to wield a lightsaber with absolutly no force sensitive skills, padawan or jedi skills. this is what I think of the non ch 10k ham pets and the lvl 0/1 pets.

This is my last post here

unless of coarse a dev responds to this issue here

Said it before and will proudly say it again, no more pets for non-CH until they can fix the BE bug.

Disclaimer: I did not read all the posts. Nor do I need to read them all.

CH does not mean anything when one can fairly easily find 10K HAM, decent resists, AR1 pets to tank for them without skill point usage in CH. The problem used to be dabblers. Now the current problem is that anyone who dabbles for one pet is pretty amazingly overlooking how readily these pets defeat the purpose of being Novice CH at all.
