The30 second delay is necessary. Is it an ANNOYANCE FACTOR? Yes.

But if you remove it, then you end up with a GRIEFING-EXPLOIT-ABUSE FACTOR.

Choose!! Would you rather choose to have an Annoyance Factor?Or be left with a Griefing-Abuse-Exploit Factor?

======================================================================

Since the creature is the CH's weapon, you will need to prevent any other combat profession from changing weapons for 30 seconds. Afterall, if they are weaponless or holding a CDEF, pulling out that LLC or Scatter Pistol is griefing.

The 30 second delay for changing weapons is necessary. Is it an ANNOYANCE FACTOR? Yes

But if you remove the 30 second delay to change weapons, then you end up with GRIEFING-EXPLOIT-ABUSE FACTOR,

Notice how silly this sounds when you are talking about applying this to weapons.

How silly you sound because your ignorant. I'm a Dancer/MCH, lol. NO combat skills. My pets are my weapons so in essence youshould have a 30 sec delay on all weapons if this nerf comes to pass. Please explain this GAMEBREAKING GRIEFING-EXPLOIT-ABUSE FACTOR. So far your just spit out the same rhetoric the devs do, TH says its a griefing exploit, you say yea its a griefing exploit, lol. Go troll somewhere else.

It does nothing but add another annoyance factor to the game. It adds absolutely nothing good to gameplay, and certainly does "fix" any "griefs" people are using by calling pets for pvp...which they can't do now, because petts cannot be called in combat.

Will someone, anyone, explain to me in plain English what this mythical "griefing-exploit-abuse factor" is?

I'd like to know, because for the life of me I can't figure it out, especially since I can't call a pet while I'm in combat, nor can my pets be stored until they've been out of combat for 60 seconds, which prevents the much feared "rotation"of pets that terrifies the snot-nosed brats in the Quake PvP l33t crowd.

Creatures/droid/vehicles shouldn't be storable. If you have a rancor, you should require a place big enough to keep it. Going to another planet? You should have to walk your creature to a place that will ship the creature for you. "Storing" should really mean what it means in real life. "I stored my car in the garage", "I put the horse in the barn", ect...

Have the Devs thought of tossing this whole "storing" issue out for a more realistic solution? Or is this just technical solution?

I think he is saying, is the Devs are trying to protect US and OUR PETS from the Grief, not the Opponent that is surprised that they Oneshot our Pets in PvP. Thunderheart does not play the game so he obviously has no clue on this subject.... Very frustrating.

I think th was talking about the griefing factor because people were storing their pets w/ an exploit right before they died, thus giving no consequence for using them in battle

O and to the person that was comparing the backpack storing to rl, some of this game does not follow real life requirements, and that just is the way it has to be

yay. since they apparently can't fix the autostoring of pets and vehicles that is a daily annoyance non-scout types, they might as well remove camp requirements as a quick fix. I can see no other reason for removing the camp requirement other than that. If the bike or mountI was riding didn't suddenly dissappear after i visit a vendor or a house or fight some creatures, i would never need a camp other than to heal.

The key word there is "exploit". Fix the problem dont create new ones by taking the easy way out, CH's are not allowed to store or call pets in battle and cannot store a pet until 60secs after battle. If his reasoning for this nerf is because people are using an exploit, TH and the devs have officially lost their minds.

As far as your rl comments, its a game nuff said.

So, in order to solve an "exploit" that most of us don't know about, TH and the devs are going to grief every last CH with yet another annoying time sink.

These twits wonder why the subscription numbers are declining. It's because we've got a set of boneheaded nerfherders for developers.

OMG it's a whopping 30 seconds. Big fricken deal. Having the weapon change for every other combat profession is kinda pointless. Why? Because most everyone keeps their primary use weapon out at all times as it is already.

Not to mention you can't compare releasing a creature from it's "cage" to drawing a weapon from it's sling/holster.

Yeah we can compare the two. You know why? Because it's a game. And this 30 second delay could seriously put a CH at a disadvantage. I get very tired of the real life comparisons to a F**KING GAME!!!!!!!!

Would the removal of this delay bother you? I doubt it, so move along little boy...

Its pointless but I'lltry tokeep showing you non-ch why this is a problem. Our weapons follow us, with that comes bugs that have never been fixed. First our speeders out run most of the pets, second they auto-store (I dont remember any weapons disapearing from a Pistoleers hand in the middle of battle), third they have a pathing error which causes me to store the pet to fix the bug. Your saying we should just have our weapon out and ready, CH'S are saying that is impossible with the current bugs in the game! Even if they fix the bugs its unacceptable because its not needed. BTW, if you dont change weapons at all during PvP your either amele (more than likely TKM)or a noob. Stop saying its apples to oranges, its weapons to weapons plain and simple.

A grief is a grief.

It doesn't matter if it's a creature pet or a flamethrower. The concern is that some poor little Quake PvP snotnose will be "surprised" in a duel or PvP situation. That is the terrible grief that is the justification on yet another annoying way to waste my gametime. So, anyone who has so much as a single box of TKA MUST have "TKA" broadcasted above their head at all times so that they can't "surprise" someone in a duel or PvP, to prevent this terrible griefing that might cause someone's precious little commando toon to get pwned. If we are honestly going to address the alledged griefing concern, let's be honest about it. Want to change weapons? Sorry, you must wait 30 seconds AFTER you've equipped the weapon for it to be fired.

There is no aspect of "realism" involved in this. The stated reason for the change is griefing, is people being surprised in duels and PvP. In duels, never mind that the instant they discover that they're not dealing with a novice tailor, they're dealing with a TKM, they can /endduel and save their worthless little l33t hides from the pwnaged they so obviously need to experience. In PvP, apparently being defeated by someone with a superior set of combat skills drives these little brats bonkers, so they go whining to the devs for a nerf of the terrible po-ke-mon masters, who have their fearsome rancors that terrify the little kiddies to death, because they just see the big graphic and it scares them to pieces.
