This is my opinion of answers and ideas revolving around this list, which Aakhperhare is really good i must add. also i am post november CH so i wasnt around for the seriously bad nerf in the beginning, but i do love CH more than any other profession so at least give me the change to express my views. I actually haven't had this problem in awhile. Maybe once or twice in the last several months.

Many more creatures should spawn babies than currently are. Every creature under CL 70 should have at least a chance of spawning a baby would love to see some of the non-tamable become tamable

Variety = Good

The new Ranged and Special Attack commands do not appear to work. Pet must be at melee range and not in combat for special attack on demand commands to work. Pets never use ranged attacks under any conditions cant use this skill yet so i'll skip.

Even spamming these commands don't work, also ranged pets tend to use nothing but their ranged attack at times, forcing you to store your pet and recall it.

Pets that have been trained as Mounts will not follow their master hell my non mount forgets to follow me

The Bantha and Bol mount seem to have some of the worst habits of standing on me, and sometimes not following (along with other non-mountable pets)

Ongoing pathing problems (pets start moving very slowly or stop following altogether) pet decides to slowly trot!

Ever notice how sometimes your pet will start to walk sideways if you have it out for awhile? As it's walking sideways, it seems to start having trouble following you because it's almost "hanging up" on the terrain.

Profession no longer has a niche in which it is particularly valuable. Melee players provide better tanking and damage-dealing, while Bio-Engineers sell better pets our damage should be based on combat prof+pet with in that case we are a better tank, or our pet is that is.

Pets with differant abilities would be a solution to this. Instead of just having a meat shield, some tameables could be damage dealers instead.

Some pets run away when they come under attack in battle (more common with some body types than others). May be related to creatures having different ‘ideal attack ranges’ that they constant try to move to. i once dabbaled in bio-engineering, there is a certain psychological factor in each pet that will either make them brave, or run away screaming! this i like, ads to the pets personallity IMO

This is a common misconception. If you notice, certain model types such as the graul/rancor and a few others will do this half-pivot move when attacking, which is a dead giveaway of an ideal attack range issue. Besides, don't give the devs that much credit for immersiveness.

Remove pet vitality loss from factional deaths, to be consistent with normal item decay rules agreed

I don't even know if this has been corrected or not. I keep seeing it in patch notes, but there isn't much clarification.

The /tellpet command sometimes will not work for players. This generally happens in isolated episodes for players, both preceeded and followed by tellpet working perfectly with the exact same pets and commands. i've used /tellpet many many times and have not once had a failure.

The /tellpet command will sometimes stop responding, but it's few and far between. Also, /tellpet doesn't recognize single letter commands.

Creature Handling is not an effective tool at all against a PvP-oriented combat professional. A skilled Creature Handler needs to become more of a threat as part of the Big Combat Rebalance yes a TKA or hammer weilder should piss his pants at the sight of our critters!

Rancors namely are no where near the level of power they should be for being such a legend. In some of the Star Wars books, Rancor are said to be taking out AT-ST's with ease.

Mounts need to be valuable when compared to vehicles. Current mount advantages are not enough. Suggestions include improved mounted combat, improved mount speed/gallop, improved mount selection (flying mounts?) give us flying mounts yes, but dont make them even close to speeders, you dont expect acamel to keep up with a harley do you?

But these are flying mounts, and something that flies can move pretty damn fast. Besides, it is just a game.

No perceived advantage to using one’s Taming skills instead of just buying Bio-Engineered pets. Money is easy enough to acquire that "worse but free" does not feel very rewarding to Tamers. i love the thrill of taming, take it away and you kill the Roleplay of being an Animalist

This is how I think the pecking order should be on pets. Wild--BE--Rare. It has been said many times before, why making something that has mediocre stats so incredibly rare? I understand that BE's need to be viable, but CH's do also. And frankly, I am still pissed that a BE can make CL 30something pets with light armor and 60% kinetic resists. Not to mention that a BE can make a Gnort that could kill a Rancor, it's ridiculous. If the devs were smart (har har) they would have put a maximum CL on the lower level body types. The BE revamp is what turned us into pokemon masters.

Ability to drop stored pets off either in a regular house or a specialized 'stable' structure this i love, would be like owning a ranch or something, would keep us from having to sacrifice pets to make room for a new one,

In a perfect world, this would happen. But honestly, it won't until sometime at the middle or end of next year...and that's an IF at best.

Pet-calling delay of any length is not needed, as specific examples of 'exploit' behavior haven't been produced. Particularly given the fact that creatures are the only "weapon" that cannot be "equipped" while already in combat with caution you dont need to remove the delay, just be careful, you should never be able to bring out a 5foot tall animal as fast as you can grip a pistol or sword

Can't really go by much semblance of reality here. The fact that CH's have to wait 15-30 seconds to pull out their weapon is a major imbalance to us.

Rancor does not seem as powerful as has been established by Star Wars continuity. Even the weakest rancor should be a high end predator that is feared by players in my opinion a large team should only be able to take down a rancor, not a self proclaimed "ubber" TKA

Yup yup and yup...

Pets need more variety in desired properties besides just Light Armor and Kinetic Resist. Varied damage types, armor piercing, and creature-unique "droid module" type functionality can you explain this more?

Exactly as said. Instead of having pets that just take damage, some should be more geared to dealing damage. Such as pets that have armor piercing ability (currently, all pets wild or BE have none with thier attacks).

Entertainer pets, rescue pets, hunting pets and so on. Get the idea?...

Creature Handler "Epic Quest" (similar to RIS armor) with a valuable reward (i.e. unique pet, one-time use "tame adult" ability, etc) no comment

Would be nice, but won't happen.

Some Creature Handlers feel they should be able to see a wild creature's Difficulty level without buying the Master Scout skill i take pride in having to master scout to see the ch lvl, that is why people master scout then go ranger, you depend on them or you alt-tab and bring up swgcreatures.com

The thing is, scouts and rangers should have better abilities than just seeing the CL of an animal. At the very least, CH's should be able to see the stats and CL of a (baby). Just makes no sense that a Creature Handler can't see these things.

Mount wearables/armor such as we have seen concept art for in online developer interviews agree

Again, in a perfect world.

Ability to carry items on mounts (using them as 'pack animals' as seen in the films) i can do it in dungeon seige why not swg!???

... in a perfect world...

Multiple wild pets are not nearly as effective as one big one (reverse seems to be the case for BE pets) no comment.

Exactly.

Ability to sell tame CH pets on vendor/bazaar this interferes with the BE profession, we should not be able to sell tamed animals without being a master who can transfer the pet data

I agree with this more or less. Our few tameables that are non-CH wouldn't hurt the BE's money making in the least, but I think we should be able to sell our few non-CH's on the bazaar. Making it a MCH ability would be good. But I don't particularly like the pet slave trade.

XP rewards to successfully taming/training do not scale appropriately with creature difficulty (more XP should be awarded for taming/training more powerful creatures) and aswell as combat xp

Understatement.

CH-specific missions and content (i.e. 'Taming' missions) available from terminals and/or NPCs this is a very good point.

Would be fun, but won't happen anytime soon.

Ability to train pets through the commandline (i.e. /train followme Follow) no comment

Also, I think an MCH should atleast fail muchless often when training a pet. It gets annoying having to repeat the same command sometimes 4 times before the pet learns it.

More variety in creatures/pets in the wild. Different colors, slightly different capabilities, etc within a species aggreed, i dont really think that if the razor cat really existed they would all look the same!

This would add so much immersion and perhaps some excitement, but I believe this just won't happen. As the devs would say. "That's too much work..."

More new pet commands/tricks such as the ability to ride a unicycle!!!!

A fun little tid-bit for us, as a fun factor.

What combat professions are just as broken as CH is? Sure there are some broken professions but none as broken as CH. Every other masteredprofession can hit harder than any pet.

Its not just TC that has to work, TC has a major lack of MCH's trust me its not fun, my CH Enyo Oka, is a MCH/Swords with 0-0-3-0 ranger, i can't get medic to heal myself so basically, i have alot of problems with my pets running away and leaving me open to attacks, so if i dropped ranger i could get the extra "boost" to my skills but prolly not.
