1. Its a combat support class I see the vanity come shineing through. No I aint no combat support yes you are like it or lump it. I have heard this bogus nonsense before on many a forum my class is not a combat support. This is not a slander on the CH profession. I am a CH by the way, and you know what I am proud of the skill.
2. The krayt analogy is just a good analogy. See as most players will not take tanking a kreetle lair at all seriously. Try it though you will see where the sit back and wait philosiphy comes in.
3. Your wrong pets are disposable. I like my pets, but I will fess up a third of my pets are expressly used as disposable pets. They are generic, and therefore replaceable. As they get worn down I delete and go tame a new one. In some fights you not only need to accept that you will lose pet vitality, but you will. The TKA is not disposable once he dies he has to clone and you need to wait ten minutes for him or her to get back. Unless you have a doc in a buffing frame of mind. A CH can simply store a beat up pet and call another. The pet is disposable not the person. Though I dislike TKAs myself. I do not want to see a friend die in favor or saveing a mobile mob.
4. Hint the fact that a plain CH gets owned alot in pvp and high level pve is pointing to the fact that is a combat support and not a combat. If you really want to get fancy you can point out its the most combat support of combat supports. Simply put none of the other supports completely stack with any other with no cost. You want to use healing your going to have to use some ham points to do that the same with rangeing and scouting. Forageing costs ham. CH on the other hand can be done with no ham use at all. You sick the pet and let it get worn down tanking.
5. Oh I love the point about stacking two. Guess what a combat support class can support the player that has it. If your a riflemen and a ch. You are simply useing the ch to combat support yourself. A combat support is not about stand alone power its about augmentation of combat power. Like a doctor steming illness, or a scout masking scent.
6. Get over what you are how many medics do you hear screaming I am a crafter or I am a combat. Same goes for squad leaders or rangers. Know your role.
Ok, now this post admittedly makes much more sense to me. Before you asked "If you don't have to endanger yourself to be in combat, your combat support", whereas here it does indeed bring the valid point that we are using 2 proffesions at once to fight and that one"Supports" the other. However, its highly similar to the theory behind defense stacking. Whereas one person can get the fencer defence line and have awesome dodge for their swordsmen, they never have to lift a finger as a fencer, ergo the fencer proffesion is supporting the swordsmen. However, I seriously dought you can call a fencer combat support, as a fencer alone is definently using their proffesion to fight primarily, in addition to whatever stacking they have. Furthermore, you can most certainly fight alone with just pets......just not without endangering yourself unless your fighting something many times weaker than your pets. The role isn't the problem, it's the imbalance. Just because a profession doesn't have the most power alone doesn't make it combat support, it sure might in another game, but if you fix all the CH bugs and counter the big nerfs, it pretty much is a proffesion all it's own in combat in PvE for sure. Just because you think they didn't intend to make CH combat and that they nerfed it because of that doesn't mean it's true, it's because people were ridiculously imbalanced in server's in the beginning which didn't even have 70 percent base composite, or the current food classes of today or all the other stacking abilities and Krayt weapons and end-game things. Now take a pre-nerf CH with his 3 rancors/pre-nerf grual maulers/medium armor gurrecks and see what would happen today in a fight. Other profession strength sprang so much out of control while we were nerfed, today we might still be too weak to win with just pets, where before the nerf people destroyed everyone. And it's not because of this grand vision the developers had to eventually have all professions stronger than CH, after all, why would they of been admitting to making a combat balance if they didn't know everything was out of whack? Or why would they of nerfed it in the first place if they knew it would be so weak in the long run?
Nextly, the part where you say pets are disposable. Whether you want to use your pets like long lasting powerups on your DPS or as your frontline form of attack is entirely up to you and might even be good strategy either way, but the part where you say a CH can simply store his pet and call out another isn't exactly correct. 60 seconds is a LONG time for a combat store timer, especially in a PvP fight or a high intensity situation. The developers have said before, (Wrongly, and they would realize it if they saw how weak we are) that rapidly calling pets when they incap would be "Imbalancing". and that calling pets while in combat would have "Negative impacts on the game" and the like. Therefore, when your in a high-intensity situation, you most certainly can't just call another pet when one gives up. Now, this could be an argument for us being "Combat support" as CLEARLY it's ridiculously too weak to be real combat......that is, if it was intended. And considering how many times we've been nerfed and counter nerfed and "Balanced" and failed to be hotifxed, it's anyones guess what they REALLY intend for CH to turn out to be on specific terms, after all, we don't have any developers dedicated to us to tell us what we're supposed to be like, except for this generic "Balanced" term they seem fond of using, and that combat chart listing us as "Versitile".
And lastly, I believe I've already touched number 4 indirectly. Just because we get owned doesn't mean it's intended, MANY things the developers do ends up not being "Intended". -1 DOT weapons? Traded openly on trade forums for 2 years, in plain blasted site, and suddenly it's declared "Un-intended" as if they had no idea those weapons existed. Unless the rumors are true and no developer ever plays the game, I seriously don't think they would of just never seen this in their examinations until 2 years later.Or if we look at the plight of jedi. Apparently the developers official definition of a "Balanced" jedi is 1.5 times as powerful as an ordinary full template person, but that most certainly isn't true in combat today! The developers like to change their viewpoints a whole lot, such as saying several patches ago that they were modifying all pet HAM to conform with the CU, and when we get there, we find that instead of our current pets, we get carbon copy HAM and damage creatures all over the place, in addition to a compleatly ruined BE pet system. There isn't much reason for us NOT to be a combat profession if all the bugs and nerfs were fixed and de-nerfed respectively, and from the sound of the developers combat chart, it seems that for now they consider our intended potential to be "combat". Now if they come in here and say we're just a lousy slight DPS increasing for a huge SP output support profession, then we'll all undoughtably rise an uproar, but if it fails, we'll be combat support. We'll also all of probably quit CH or the game.

The funny thing is I had no idea it was that long until I posted it....I must really "Know my role" to type so fast about it I don't notice the length
Pets cant tank, Period the hate system will make them pointless
All pets are generic, skins is all the difference is
No specials atm, i dunno if this is intended or not but the Bio sample dont have any listed
The devs said they wanted more variety in the game, but made it so once you master you have only a few viable generic choices
No new tamables, zero, everyone else gets new weapons, CH zero
(not to speak of the new graphics, icons, lvl system (keep it skill based not level), I can basically solo most stuff just the same it just takes a bit longer to die (boring), Damage types i found made the game interesting more strategy, now theres two no specific reists or vulnerabilities so whichever one is more powerful is always the choice, and whole lot more...)Basic dumbing down of the game to apeal to all those 12 year old brats who cry to mommy and daddy to play the game after they watch episode 3.

I post on your threads to make sure that nobody believs your baseless rantings. We have enough people running around comdemning the CU who've not tested it, played it or even seen it, and are just believing posters like yourself who seem to delight in throwing common sense out the window and turning every bug you find into the end of SWG.
Hate to break it to you not everyone that hates the CU has not played it. I love punshment I keep loging in hopeing it has gotton somewhat better. Nope far less fun and boring now then before. I have more fun on live but the crap on test has even killed that fun. I have taken my friends to test so we can try it. They say the same thing it works butthat is all.
I am a robot I think I know what is best for everyone because SOE tells me to
