Here's an interesting one for you guys...
Last night I logged on and figured I would give Jeff (CL 18 wrix) and Q'pla (CL 14 Mountain dewback, still growing) a break and went FP grinding out of the Imperial Outpost on Dant. After killing enough to make my scrawny promotion of Staff Corporal, (I was an idiot and let some Reb talk me into dropping faction...GEEZ I COULD KICK MYSELF!!!!) I decided it was time to go hunting and do my good deed for the week.
I landed in tat and was hanging around with some junk stuff I looted and passed them out to some n00bs. Just low end looted pistols, carbs and rifles. Then I decided to go hunt some Zucca Boars and Womp Rats, both CL 10. I like these cause the Womp Rat has good HAM for a "trainer" pet, but the Zucca can cause more damage, though the Kvevol on Naboo ain't a bad "trainer" pet either. Sense I gave away my last pacifist Kreetle and Dwarf Nuna to some jerk in the Tyrena Space Port, I had room to pick up 5 pets. So just to have fun I pulled out Q'pla and Lung, (My mount Dewie and my Attack Dewie in training. Gonna hate when Lung gets to big to pull them both out till I can use 2 level 20 creatures.) I get to the out skirts of Eisley and see some new guy (Sonic I think was the name) wailing on a worrt with his hands, and I get an evil grin. I store Q'pla, and do /tellpet chase and target Sonic and off goes Lung in hot persuit. Then a couple trick 1 commands in /tellpet and Lung hikes up on his back legs, which to a n00b would seem like he's attacking I guess, cause I see Sonic start running like Hell, with Lung right after him (which I think is cute, cause a baby Dewback looks like a little puppy when they run). I finally call of Lung and give the guy 1000 credits cause Lung killed a animal he was trying to fight earlier. I sat there, showed him my little zoo and answered questions. He seemed very interested and I told him I was heading out to get some low end pets and see if he was intereted. Didn't even hesitate and answered positivly. (Granted could be because he wanted something for free, but hey, an interest in CH is a positive in my book.) So I went and hunted and managed 3 Zucca Boars and 2 Womp Rats. First boar went to Sonic. I then went to the Starport and got ready to do my barking. I announced I had 4 Level 10 pets to give away to any newbies. I got a responce right off the bat. I pulled out one Zucca and one Womp Rat. there went one Boar, named Piggy to a Rodain Sout. I answered questions and all, and he was on his way. Next A lizard came up and answered my next bark, I pulled out the rat and boar and he wanted the Rat, to make up for killing all of them, named it Slurp. Next was a female wook Scout, again, she wanted the Rat, named it Whompy. The the last one I had went to a other Lizard (Can not remember the name of that race for some reason) and he said he had Zero idea what to name it. So I named it Zero. Was a good time trying to revive the CH professions.
Then the enevitable happened. Some one comes up and asks about pets, right after I pulled out Q'pla and Phoenix (My lantern bird) to show off some of my petting zoo. He asked if I had any mounts, I told him that unfortunatly, the only mounts I had he couldn't use cause they were all natural tamed. He asked me how he coudl get one, told him he could see a BE and have one made. At that point I have a BE send me a /tell letting me know he was a BE and he showed up, nice little Bothan. The person asking about mounts then says, How about I just buy yours? I told him, "Well, first you couldn't use it, and second, I'm attached to this one. It was my frist Dewback Tame." he then pops off, "But I can take novice CH." I tried to explain to him, thateven withen novice Ch, he couldn't ride Q'pla cause he was level 14 right now and would be level 20 and NCH only can use level 12 pets. Then I told him, "You could ask [can't remember his name] here and he could possibly make you a pet. (he already told me he could make a non ch dewie for him, and would do it for free even though he wasn't a n00b.)
Then this little punk turns around, after holding me up from logging off for about 15 minutes, and causing this nice BE to miss his shuttle to corillia or naboo, turns around after I tell him that the BE could make a pet for him and says, "That's good for you dog face. I'm outta here." and runs off. I'm sitting there just shaking my head and for the next 8 minutes stand there talking to the bothan and appologized for being part of the cause of him missing his shuttle and offered to pay for the ticket and he refused politly. Couple comments about how rude the guy was and then we talked shop and he was off.
All in all it was pretty fun till the pr**k showed up. I wish I had a few nuna's and kreetels on me at that time, would have transfered 3 of them to him right on the spot so he would have to delete one to get a mount, but considering he was ignorant, he probably would have whinned and complained that he couldn't hold any more pets. The nerve of some people, ya know?

Some nice stories, down to earth events - no tales of soloing the correllian dungeon or soloing krayts, the normal stuff.
I had a moment yesterday, a MTK (master ters kasi had his title up)was running around the area in front of the starport in corellia shouting for a master CH to help him - after a while I took pity on him and told him I was MCH, he said "I dont believe you show me your title", I paused for a moment and being in a good mood I obliged him "happy now" ok can you train my new pet for me np i said. It was a cl40 BE Kimo.
I had just logged on so I wasnt thinking clearly, I should have realised anyone who can control a CL40 could train most of it himself, but never mind I trained it for him and even named it for him. He then asked if I could mount it for him, I just said "no" what else can you say, he was obviously one of those strange players with a multitude of very inaccurate misconceptions which would take an age to explain to him and probably think I was lying. So I gave it back, got no tip or a thanks, he just called it out and ran of with it in tow.
It was then I decided to examine it fully, there it was in black and white, I felt so sorry for him but I knew he wouldnt understand if I tried to explain it, so I let it go. Stats armour NONE Kinetic 1% other stats a bit better. The poor sap probably paid 100k to 250k from a bad BE vendor and thought it was the Uberest pet in the galaxy. Tragic.
I see the majority of BE vendors still selling awful pets like that, usually going all out to put in a poison attack but having kinetic resist in single figure percents, horrible pets. Made by and bought by the odd class of player who will are totally convinced they know everything and everyone else are just lame. SAD.

I'm finding this more and more difficult to keep up right now, since running missions to get through the Scout trees isn't exactly thrilling reading. I still don't fight with my carrion spat, the decent guy that he is, because I can't afford stims for him right now and if I did, I'd REALLY depend on him to be there, which he often isn't.
I'm on a quest to find a BE on Shadowfire who can take a bulk order for non-CH cu pas and banthas for Mizary, who tipped me 100,000 credits by bank tip. Since I never see her, I couldn't give it back in full because I didn't have the credits to cover the 5%, and I didn't want to waste the cash. She insisted that I keep it, and I insisted on doing her a favor in return. She asked for a bantha mount for her sweetie, and as we got talking about non-CH mounts I got her to allow me to supply her whole guild if I can find them. The cost will take up a good deal of what she tipped me, while I got a decent weapon and an ubese shirt out of it, so she kind of paid me for my time is how I see it. Unfortunately no BE's are answering me on the trade forums, and I don't like to go and request on the profession ones, so the hunt is on. Since I used to make these myself, I know their value and its not worth picking them up one by one off of the bazaar by any means, where they go for 6k for a creature who at no stats, costs about 500 cr in materials to make and 5 minutes worth of time.
I find myself wishing that there were more profession oriented quests. I'm trying very hard not to "grind", but its tough when all there is to do is run creature missions or wander and look for creatures to get the XP for scouting. I can't even really double it with NPC missions to get the pieces for my loot kit (I'm starting with the glass table) since you can't get scout XP off NPC's.
Kleylli is incredibly vain (I LOVE how your characters can develop personalities on their own!) and got a new hairstyle, probably his last one. He now has two long, flowing ponytails. He's been watching babies very carefully, and is excited about getting something to walk with that no one else has and is incredibly vicious. Of course, he's not terribly tall, and everything is vicious to him, so he now has his heart set on a carniverous nuna, which stands as tall as he does. I keep trying to tell him that your pets name is something that is special, and is a thing of honor, but he still wants to name it Jeepers'Cheepers. I'll keep trying to talk him out of it, I swear.

Bothans can't help being vain; there's so much to love about them.

And Kleylli is most assuredly worth expensive trips to the ID tent.

Well, I'm almost there! Kleylli is now a 4/0/2/0 Scout (and gaining quickly on III in Hunting) and is working on his Novice Pikeman box! By the end of the weekend, he should be a Novice Creature Handler.
I could probably be higher right now, but the milk quality on Naboo is insane. I've only seen it higher once, on Scylla, with stats in the 700's, except for OQ which was 1000. I've got over 4k of that stuff.
I've got almost that of the milk on Shadowfire, which is 997 OQ. I'm hoarding it as quick as I can so that eventually I can trade it for some BE work to get my taming clothes. I'll have to do a lot of research into it though . . . I need to find out how much is needed to make the parts, what the value of the milk is (from its stats, we could easily be looking at 150 CPU or more), and what exactly I need to bring to a tailor. I'm also trying to decide if I should get it worked into actual clothes like pants and a shirt, or if I should get it put on a belt and some boots or something so I can put on armor too. I don't see myself doing a lot of personal fighting when I'm taming though, so I'm not quite sure yet.
One problem that I'm having is that while milking animals, they've been having a severe warping problem since the last patch. it doesn't happen in combat that I can see, or when they are not engaged in some way with your character. But when I start milking them, one out of four times they'll warp 100m away or more. Often, they'll warp straight up into the air immediately following. I've tested this all around Theed, and do not think its a problem with server boundries or anything like that; since I have gotten most of the 4k of milk off ikopis, you can imagine how much milking I've been doing, and from the number of lairs I've hit that would pretty much make the region nothing but one big server boundry if that was the issue.
Tusk cat spawn in that area has been off the wall. These were pretty uncommon on Scylla for what is considered to be a common animal, so passing 20 or more lairs a night to me is very exciting. I had been planning on moving up the fourth tree first so I could mount animals, but I think I'll start off on vicious instead so I can at least get some mid-level animals that look like they're fighters (even if they really aren't
)
I'm still working on researching what qualifies as a rare, low-level pet. Rare hunting is a lot of fun, but I'm sure that all rares are not high-end and that its something I could start right off the bat. I think a collection of multi-level rares would be something to see, although I think that unfortunately the zoo would have to be limited to a screenshot collection at some point. I can't see keeping a datapad full of rare but truely useless animals while trying to make it to Master.
Today also marked MY one-year aniversary in the game, not counting Beta and the two+ years I'd spent on the boards pre-release. I find it ironic that on my aniversary day, I'm not too far off from where I started from, playwise.

I can't believe you aren't milking Famba on the Western Plain of Naboo. With milk that good you would have 10k by now. I love Famba they provide so many useful byproducts as well as a nice ground shaking pet!

They're just not out there to find on Shadowfire in large quantity, at least in the normal places where they always spawned on Scylla. I have found a few, and of course milk those, and I also take any gungan falumpasets, gualamas, and bolle bols I can. But whereas I can't force them to pop from a mission terminal, and don't have the cash to transport around easily, or a vehicle, or theskill to keep off veermoks and narglatches and such, lol, I take what I can get when I can get it.

I love to just wander the western plain. I'll admit I'm now MRM so the risk is much lower but I enjoyed it at rifle3 and master scout. I throw on mask scent and wander. I guess they spawn thicker on Corbantis as the Famba are very easy to find in the western plain and up in the swampy area about 1/2 way between Keren and Theed.

Yep, stuff like that varies from server to server. On Scylla they were very heavy around Moenia and the Gungan Sacred Spot, but notvery common anywhere else, while I generally find at least one lair a day on the beach north of Theed on Shadowfire, along the river from the Great Falls. I haven't seen any others though, in the limited amount I can wander yet.
If it weren't for that stupid warping though, I'd actually be doing quite well on ikopis and the smaller animals. They don't give milk in huge amounts individually, but I've been finding spawn animals of 50 animals total, and since they are one-hit kills, I can fly through each spawn in no time and keep the milk harvesting, rather than find one or two fambaa with a lot of milk, and then have to drive off and find more.

The same warping is occuring on Corbantis. Its especially troubling when abolle bol is hanging in mid air over your head!

Huh, I didn't see it with this kind of severity until this one. I mean, warping always happened, but this is nuts. And I'll send you that e-mail.
Can you recommend anyone reputable that you may have met on the BE boards or anything from Shadowfire?
