I would love to know why this is really happening as lots of people of already mentioned not being "starwarsy" enough is a very lame excuse and probably not true. Ok so SoE want to turn the game into an FPS, I can see the reasoning there, so many people have left the game its probably no financialy viable anymore and by dumbing the whole thing down im assuming they think they will be able to attract the console kids to play they game. If the is the case i think they are way off the mark there are better FPS out there already that dont require a susscription. I beleive this will be the begining of the end.

What should of happened was SoE fixing and develping the game they had, players were returning all the time and more would have come back once word got around things were working.

A star wars FPS, just what eveyone wants. I think not.

Of course, it's not true! Click on the hyperlink in my signature for a compilation of entries from the official Star Wars Website illustrating the visceral impact on the movies the various exotic, tamed creatures have had. Read it well, click on all the links, and then have anyonetry to tell me Creature Handling is not "iconic" to the Star Wars universe. PAH!!!

Here is an observation...

Why do they still have babys on the Test Server? I examined a Cannibal Dewback baby (level 15) and it didn't have taming stats as we are used to in the current build.

Using the new targeting procedure, hitting babys is tough because of their smaller size. They do seem to carry the same statistics as the adults as we have seen before.

Just an observation.

One week left to stock up on Level 10 mounts.

Get 'em now if yer staying.

F-U SOE Sorry ppl of my language but SOE is so full of B.S. wish we could send George Lucas this crap so he could know how much they are rewriting his work of a beautyful work. SOE is in violation of contract. SOE lie's

I assembled a list of all the Creature Handler-type moments from the movies that I could find from the official StarWars.com Databank, complete with stickies to the pages describing each of the exotic domesticated beasts portrayed. Makes for quite an impressive compendium when taken as a mass. The information I culled runs through three separate posts. LET'S CRAM SOE'SOWN SPECIOUS ARGUMENT DOWN THEIRLYING THROATSUNTIL THEY CHOKE ON THEIR OWN SELF-SERVING HYPOCRISY. The link is contained in my sig.

I am not a creature handler, nor do i intend to ever be one.

However, removing them from the game is probably one of the dumbest things in the NGE. Second to making the game near impossible to play for some of the disabled out there.

I personally like the nge, but i must still stand by my ethics and protest it's lack of acknowledgement for the minority.

If they do, and when they do, Medusa will come out of the closet to see the changes. Untill then she will be locked up, because i don't want what happened on CU v2 to happen to her, wacking up nacked and this time having torespec, for non CH.

The only thing not starwarsy here.. are the people who screw around with our game... the whole thing about star wars was 1. the originality, being something new and different.. ahead of its time... but yet still having that classic touch to it. They took that away from us when they changed combat the first time. 2. notice the more they try and make it to what they call starwarsy, only makes it worse. 3. If i wanted to play a shooter or whatever the hell i was playing on the test center, i'd go and play battlefront 2 cause its practically the same thing. As a long time veteran to the game, its hard to belive that this game i have been playing for 2 years is about to be completly revamped to something not even close ot the original game. I cant stack professions eather, what happened to the orginiallity? First they make the game like WOW and now its becoming a shooter. It isnt worth the money anymore.. to be honest with you guys, i likie the fact that there were always professions and templates you can make that were better then the rest, being the same as everyone eles in an rpg makes the game boring and takes out all the feeling of the game, its not saposed to be easy or fair. CH was my facorite profession, and it was one of the only professions that binded the game together, i can't imagine this game without CH..... so therefore i will probably be leaving... i dunno how i am though, its been too long.

SOE doesn't care about us... They won't listen...

READ:

I'm not the older ch player, but I am up there. I became a master right about time they removed the 3 grawl mawlers. When Giant Peko Peko babies were still around. As soon as I became a MCH, the giant peko peko disappeared... Then reappeared back in the CU. So, my time and patient payed off, never deleted my pets when I left ch. And then respec back to my favorite profession. Didn't want a stupid flashlight wielding jedi, left that to the luke/anakin/obiwan/yoda wannabe's.
I was a CH, in my heart a CH... And finally, SOE, broke that heart with this latest idea.
So, yes like about half the players out there, I have deleted my second account, and just keep this one, to watch the flames and burns. Log into the game, and my friends list is now as empty as the cities that are ghost towns. Others have said, they log in and have about 100 people on their friends list, and see only 3 people on. Guilds have been destroyed, people have left to play WOW, EQ2, City of Villans (COV).
My pets will go in the datapad, and sleep, like they have in the past. Some, never woke up properly, thanks to the CU changes. And, sadly, I had to put them down.
They never listened to our release pets, let them walk away.
They never listened to our wanting flying mounts, even if they were in multiple movies. (Episode 2 and 3, multiple posts)
They never listened to our wanting to retire our friends and make statues of them. (multiple posts)
But, they listened to JEDI's, and others. Why, cause they thought that was the only paying customer. So how many paying customers did you lose with these latest anouncements. Not that you care. You already got the money everyone paid for the Trials of Obi-Wannabe. And then announced these changes. Nice work, enjoy the profits.
And, then they nerfed everyone else, and allow anyone to be a Jedi now. (For the record again: Never wanted a jedi, don't have one)
I have chatted with many friends, accounts were deleted minutes after reading the changes. New games being played hours afterwards.
So, SOE, when you wonder where the income went. Thank your strategy and marketing people.
I will expect this to be deleted quickly. Since, negativeness is not the SOE way. It's flashy offers and then magic trick the rabbit disappears.
Oh, thats right no more rabbits. Pets are being erased.
And, thank you correspondant. You have been the best for Creature Handlers. You tried everything to keep us informed and not in the shadows. And, yep we know SOE backstabbed everyone. /salute you for the work you tried to do with what little they gave you to work with.
I'm sorry, usually I don't rant because I know its useless. I just wanted to vent my feelings and sorrow for the lack of respect a company can give its loyal players. Oh, and the you veterans, stay, we give you wumpum and beads, pretty trinkets for what we did. Stay with us... Bull chips....
'Galpar turns to his pet kennels, and sadly opens up his favorite pet. The ancient reptilian flyer spreads his wings and hops out beside his master. Come my friend, one last flight around the lands before we must part again. Rikki lowers his wings and Galpar mounts up. In a strong push of muscles and wings they soar into the air. A smile appears on Galpar's face as well as a slight tear in his eye. The land rushes by, as he sees creatures rush out of the great avians path. The last flight, the last pet Galpar will see for a very long time... They soar on to the sun... gliding on the winds... in the distance, galpar raises a hand to the sky and waves sadly as he turns the great reptile into the sunset and flies off... wondering if he will ever return.'

Personally, I'm gonna load up on all the CL10 pets I can. Once the Combat Dumbgrade goes live, I will never be seen without a pet and the Master Creature Handler title. Eventually the little Jedi kids will start asking how they can have one and complaining to their parents ,and then maybe, just maybe, one day they'll put it back.

Also, I will wage war on as may of the console kids with them as possible. Kipler will become a very bitter little green alien.

Ugh, Creature Handlers /ARE/ un-Star Warsy.

And in my experience of play, which has been since original release, Creature Handlers only had brief periods of being "uber" and otherwise were always a pretty scarce and useless character class.

If people are so attached to their pets, and obviously want to disregard the Star Wars thing, then why can't they go play EQ2 or WoW, have their cake, and eat it too? Let Star Wars be... Star Wars?

The last time I looked this was a RPG game. I spent more time RPing with my pets than running around shouting PWNZ DA NOOBZ. If you could have seen my son RPing with his Grand Wirx it would break your heart that he now cannot. This has always been a game for the diversity of players around the world. By removing this profession and others, they have removed ahuge areaof RPing that alot of us enjoyed. To have their idea's of "fun" rammed downour throats is so insensitive to the actual expectations of the current playersmakes this changeunforgivable.

How much profit is enough. We payed and payed for a wonderful game, but that apparently wasn't enough. What do the bean counters care about losing 100,000 paying customers when they will be replaced by many times more. The solution for me of course is to quit if I don't like it anymore. I probably will, but at least I will have fond memories of a time when I played the best MMORPG there has ever been. I will hope that some day another of this calibre will come out and restore my faith in "gaming" for people who enjoy a challange and are not seeking instant gratification.
