Heh heh... I would have been all over this testing if they had left TC-Prime available or made TC-Sunrunner (yeah, right). But since I have no Bria or TC-Bria character (and no time to grind one from scratch this week), I was left out of the testing loop. Ironic, isn't it?

I owe Drashk and all the other testers/contributors a tremendous debt of gratitude. The information gathered so far is invaluable!

Lammerang is just jealous that I'm not running more Bio Engineer testing.

I've been a Creature Handler for quite some time now. I've enjoyed to profession some time. I'm just happy to help test out and report on a profession that is almost as fullfilling to me as being a Droid Engineer.

Plus, there is always hope that a systemsimilar tothis can be used for Higher End Combat Droids, at some point down the line.

Will pets 'outgrow' their normal sizes? Or will they reach "maturity" and stop getting bigger? This could be both fun (giant Durnis) and a hinderance (Mounts)

How many Training points does a (4) slotlevel 23 pet have? And is there a working chart that might show Ability slots and Training pointsfor petsat full maturity?

I have no clue on how many Trainable Ability Points each CL of pet will have, however, I do believe that the amount of Training Points is as follows..

CL 1 -6= 7 Training Points

CL7-13 =8 Training Points

CL 14 -20=9Training Points

CL21-27=10 Training Points

CL28 -34 =11 Training Points

CL 35-43=12Training Points

CL44-47 =13 Training Points

CL48 -54=14Training Points

CL55 -63=15Training Points
CL64 -70 = 16Training Points

Keep in mind, that this is may or may not be 100% accurate. When this hits Live, a better picture should be created of whether this is correct or not.

...

I have been working on a CL 35 BE pet recipe and getting a lot of CL 34s. Looks like a CL 35 will be significantly more valuable than a CL 34.

Ok, finished my Yavin Pass on TC-Bria. I had a total of 50 Tames. Of those tames 23 had abilities. Note thal animals not on this list that are tameable, did not tame with abilities when tamed. It does no mean they do not have abilities, I just did not get any on tames. Note there are also 2 Dant and 1 Naboo creatures on this list.

Species (Tamed With Ablilty)---Level------Ability

Choku Female (2)-----------64-------------Frenzied Assult L2
Choku Male (3)--------------65------------Combat Agility L2
Gackle Bat Hunter (3)-------62-------------Staggering Attack L2
Giant Gackle Bat (1)--------63-------------Fleet Footed L2
Giant Gackle Bat (1)--------63--------------Hamstring Attack L2
Huurton Matron (2)----------29-------------Self-Sacrifice L1
Huurton Pup (1)-------------27-------------Panicked Rage L1
Motley Kaadu (2)------------10-------------Staggering Attack L1
Skreeg Female (3)-----------60-------------Eye Gouge L2
Angler (5) -------------------67-------------Thick Skin L2
Choku Hunter (1)------------65-------------Vigorous Health L3
Gackle Bat (1)---------------59-------------Hamstring Attack L2
Choku Pup (1)---------------63-------------Imperiling Feint L2
Ravaging Gackle Bat (1)-----62-------------Fleet Footed L2

I see that we have a lot to learn. I definitely object strongly to the fact that after 2 years of being a CH I will have to return to grind every pet all over again. That being said ... I'm still confused about existing pets.

I currently have pets with pre CU specials. But those specials are not showing up as abilities for these pets. Are these abilities gone forever? Or do they just have to "mature" in order to get them back again so that I can learn them.

If they're gone forever, then the senior MCHs have been screwed again.

Don't know if this thread or some other is the right place to start reporting tames and innate abilities, but I'll post it here and repost/delete or whatever if someone things somewhere else is better.

Planet / Creature / Level / Ability Found
Naboo / Fambaa / L22 / Beastly Constitution (L1)

I'll hopefully update as I go along.

This is the right place for the info.

Quick question.

You're saying... Not only do we have to level our pets with an insane amount of xp (My CL70 needs roughly 410k per rollover, and gets 5k - 6k in a fight with CL80's while I'm grouped. When I'm not grouped, I can barely heal it quickly enough to keep it alive, and I go through stims like water. No go.) But back to what I was saying, not only do we have to level our pets, but when we tame a wild creature when looking for innate abilities, how long do we have to use that pet in combat? One rollover is insane as is, and I've heard more than that.

While this system is a ripoff of WoW, even Blizzard wasn't that sadistic. To learn abilities for your pets there, you tame a new animal, use it in combat for a minute if that, then voila, the ability is yours.

I'm just horrified... Am I correct that this is how things are supposed to be?

I'm having a hellacious time leveling one pet... much less all the others in my datapad I want to keep and use...

Luxora,

Currently your pets work like they did before Publish 21 correct? SO.....now just hunt with them like you did before and reap the benefits as you earn them.

Well, I had been working on CH prior to the CU, with the hope that the "jack of all trades" (depending on which creature you pulled) was going to happen. When it didn't (plus finding that crafter + CH isn't really that viable), I dropped it. But I've since decided to focus on straight combat, and with this change I've been grinding back up scout to give CH another try.

I'm wondering if someone has had a chance to check something, though. Let's say you've been a CH for a bit, and have accumulated a "toolbox" of a bunch of creature abilities. And then you drop CH. And then you decide you miss your pets, and pick CH up again. Do you still "know" the abilities from before? Are known trainable abilities tied in any way to CH boxes (other than having to have the taming skills to get a creature who knows the skills)?
