Thread: Creature Handler ideas for Dancer-specific pets
Let me point out a few more things.
First, CH did have a market for pets before the grotesque level 10's. Before the nerf Non-CH were able to use cowardly gurrecks and certain krevols. Many CH before the nerf were in the market of selling these. In agreement with what you are saying no one should have a total market on anything. We have proposed a corral plan to "manufacture" none wild animals specifically for the purpose. Free is not a really good term for this idea. And again time is an expenditure and its worth something.
Anyway, I am through debating this out. You simply are one of the few that disagree. My future posts to these types of threads will be to keep it on track and productive.

I understand the sentiments. I truthfully understand Nelly's too. Although I honestly feel that the PSP's can work in conjunction with PSD's. A PSP does not have to trump a PSD.
Every revamp but CH was played out in each community. SOE gave us what they wanted to give us and we were to like it or cancel.
I also agree these are not the most pressing problems in the galaxies. The CURB first, I don't know what the poor entertainers are going to do, other than become a social class. Smugglers are dying for love. I see carbineers and pistoleers cry so hard they surely haven't played CH. Theres always the eternal Jedi/BH conflict.
I guess if I were an Entertainer, I would propose a moral buff. 1-10% depending on levels. This moral buff would give either a bonus to faction hits or damage. I like the idea of faction hits moreso than damage because it would encourage more seperation of factions than everyone holed up in Cnet like we are buddies. That is to say a faction bonus could only be applied when the Entertainer is Overt. And I like this so much I may try to pitch it in the Ent forums soon.
Vert maybe you can pitch this to the Correspondents behind the blue wall to see what they think. I like it. It would be something for me to use dancers for again since CH take such bad faction hits for pets anyway.

Umm, havent you ever played first person shooters? Making the ent be overt is just going to start a new trend of (people) going overt just to go in a cantina and (hurt) all the overt entertainers.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why DEs would feel that creature pets that have entertainer specific applications are competition. The benefits of entertainer droids and entertainer creatures should compliment each other, and perhaps stack. There's no reason why both professions cannot receive benefits, but more importantly, the entertainers need love, especially after the brutal nerf-by-default that the CU inflicted on them.
The main reason to oppose this seems to me to be part of the overall developer open hostility to facilitation of role play aside from BH/Jedi asshattery, which appears to amuse them no end.
Pets that work for entertainers, like droids, should speed up the BF healing and inspiration buffing process. Futhermore, BOTH should grant things like 5-10% regen bonuses for say a 60 to 90 minute period. Perhaps the droid adds 50 minutues and the critter adds 40 or something.
Then there are critter pets who help in healing (this is a proven fact in the real world, pets do aid in patient recovery), pets who rescue on the battlefield, pets that assist in reconaissance and security work around perimeters. There are so many ways that pets could participate in the game aside from their role in direct combat, and as transportation.
