Thread: Oppinion Poll: Why are you still a Master CH?

Every time I think about fiddling with my template, the first thing I do on the profession calculator is click Master Creature Handler, I don't think I could play Jarron with MCH. It would frustrate me far too much that there is a whole world of pets out there I couldn't have as a nonCH, every baby is a reminder that if I drop CH, I'll be regrinding it within the week. There are weapons out there I can't use,andarmor I can't wear, but otherwise, in SWG, money can buy it. Except for with my narg triplets, my rancor, or the BE bantha that defeated my Sith for me when it was 2 AM and I basically fell asleep at the keyboard, there's only one way to get those things, grind out CH and hope the devs aren't looking when you find a good pet. I'll trade a fancycarbine or a scatter pistol for agraul mauler (or even a cowardly gurreck)any day, and if I ever do want that silly scatter pistol, MRifles and MBH are fairly interchangable, right?


The thing I really love about CH though is the community, and not even just the one on the forums. I have never seen two bounty hunters out in front of a space port showing off 20 weapons to each otherin turn, listing off stats and shooting things with them randomly to show off. Any time I wander through a space port and see a CH tag or a pet though, chances are, that if I wave and pull a pet of my own, I'm in for at least 5 minutes of the "Call Really Cool Pet - Chat about Really Cool Pet - Store - Rinse - Repeat" cycle and a good conversation. And if I linger in Mos Eisley for a little while with my Pack Master tag up, chances are someone will even beat me to the punch and have their rancor out first.


It's really awesome to have an entire group of people out there who I can share experiences with, and who understand my most pressing trials and greatest successes, even though we've never met before and may not talk again, and it certainly keeps things from getting lonely once all my guildies log off. I think CHs have more camradarie than any other profession in the game. Our CH profession defines us, a player might master pistols and spend most of their time with a laser rifle in their hands, but a CH goes hardly anywhere without his pets (or a good number of friends making up for the fact that he's missing all those defense bonuses from a real second combat profession, in fact, I reccomend both, at all times).


Anyway, if you're ever in Mos Eisley on Chilastra and you notice a bored Bothan wandering aimlessly, pull a pet and /tellpet chase with the latest n00b targeted and we'll have conversation while your rancor welcomes yet another player to the Universe.

Lol, i used to do that in Mos Eisley on Intrepid.. although my weapon of choice was a cl 40 Kimo that my friend made just for that reason

A few shouts of "Run, Run, Kimo attack!!!" adds to the theatrics too

I unlock my jedi in october, and i've already made plans to make my unlock toon a master ranger/master creature handler... why, do i keep leaving ch and then returning a few months later? (it will be the 5th time i've mastered ch when i do it)

i'm still MCH because i only got it a few weeks ago and after that hellish grind i'm not about to give it up after only a few weeks, lol

Reason why i am STILL a MCH after all this time. Just last night, POST PUB 20.....i was wandering in the wilds of naboo....2K away from the Emperor's retreat.....looking for the static "commoner" NPC's...still can't find a group of them...silly palm fronds are hiding from me...anyway.....me (MCH/Mpikes) no armor...3 narglatches (Blondie, Brunette and RedHead) were minding our own business...looking to bash some unsuspecting citizens.....and then BAM, out of the sky drops a Lamda Shuttle and drops 10 Level 64 varying "TROOPERS"....me being back rebel again....they were NOT impressed with my fake ID....and proceeded to do a HASTY Helo envelopement on my little traveling circus......(i considered this very rude)....needless to say, pleasantries were exchanged...i got incapped 3 times (quickly using good Stim D's to regain a fighting stance) losing 1 narglatch in the process , to enemy fire...(twas Brunette)..but when the smoke cleared...there i was 10 dead level 64 Stormtroopers, 1 incapped narglatch and very few credits to loot (oh and a poor d-17 carbine).....but i survived......it was swinging pikes, carbine fire and TIGER GROWLS.....GOD what a fight....


i love my pets, i love the attention they get....i love solo'ing most content in the game by myself....yes i DID enjoy always being asked to join a group.....pulling was useful....but i will survive....i'd vote to get it back though....but i will ALWAYS be CH...even after JEDI is unlocked....(i'm slow i know).....later my fellow ch's , if u are on Corbantis.....look me up...always ready to help out fellow CH's scouts and Rangers....
