When I just wanted XP for training (and it's not that bad if you have 7+ or so commands to train) I just set up a hotkey with "/tellpet xyz" ... all commands would get trained to the string "xyz" but I did not care because I would just immediately release the pet back to the wild and run off to find another to train for XP.

I hold "baby school."
1. Get out three babies (note: this only works if they are still below CL 23).
2. Select the tame option for the same comnmand from each baby's radial menu.
3. Say the selected command word until all three babies have learned it.
4. Repeat.
It's not the most graceful way of doing things, but it does cut down *some* of the work... and it impresses your friends.
Well... ok... it impresses MY friends.

ALSO: The fastest way to CH xp has always been through combat.
And I'll just say right now that I'm a complete dumb bunny because I just realized you can only do multiple pet training if you have pack master skills. Color me lame. Sorry. But I left it in this post because it is still something fun to do.

If your pet doesn't understand your command, you don't have to redo the radial menu, just repeat the command until he gets it.
Oh really? Cool I shall have to try this. Since I use whatever key brings up the last line you typed anyway not having to pull down the radial everytime would sure help.

Thanks for the ideas guys, just another quick question,
What is the fastest way of grinding CH? is it by teaching pets or combat? When I take a pet into combat I only get a very low amount of xp for CH but a huge amount for combat.
The problem here is, you split the XP between your combat profs (pet and whatever combat you have). Since the pet does trivial damage (especially weak or baby pets) your other prof gets most of the XP. The only way around this is to have a powerful pet, which of course is a catch-22 since you need to gain XP before you can have a powerful pet in the first place....
The trick is to group with one other character (preferably, one with good damage). Say you are a CH/Pistoleer and your buddy is, I dunno, Sword/Pike. Have your buddy aggro the targets. DON'T SHOOT THEM... Send the pet in and let just the pet help him. When the target dies, you will get full XP for the target, as will your buddy, but since you didn't use pistol, you will get full CH XP for it.
Last night a Pike/TKA and I (TKA/Sword) grouped with a novice CH and we got him two boxes worth of XP (he capped as a novice so that's double what's needed for a tier one box) in about an hour... we aggroed the targets and he sent his baby Kaadu in. The baby got capped a couple of times but not too much, because it never did enough damage to pull aggro (the main problem was if he sent it after target A, and we were accidentally trying to aggro target B).
It's super-fast if you do it that way, but you can't do it like this solo.
