Thread: /summon griefing?

People have their pets out for various reasons. Simply stated no ch should be made to put away their pet due to the griefing tactics of the bored players. A workaround for /summon should not even be an issue. If someone wants to show off their pets....so friggin what? Does it hurt anyone in any way? The attitude that its somehow the CH responsiblity is dead wrong.

some serious trolling and flaming here but i will answer your questions in an adult manor.

Spazzers and wallach1 EVERYBODY knows that a CH pet CAN NOT hold its own in PVP and will last 2 seconds to a decent pvp'er so if CH is your only defence i pitty you ...no i really do.

Now in saying that and come on most CH's will agree here if creatures cannot stand up in pvp what is the point of having them out in town ? sure you could have it out but would you want you fav pet incapped in 2 seconds followed by yourself ?

There is only 2 reasons i can think of for a pet to be in town ..1: to show off to the newbs just to make yourself feel big... 2: to get a better mission by grouping with the pet.

Personaly i don't do number 1 but sometimes i do 2 for better missions even then i only have a pet out for afew seconds and you don't hear me complaining about my pets being summoned away ..WHY ? coz im not a bighead ..i don't feel the need to show my pets off.

In finishing ..hey i don't have any problem with people showing off there pets ..i don't do it but its a free world and nobody can stop you ...except the guy summoning your pet away lol so its up to you guys ..you can store it or have it summoned away..simple choice

Nagano1If you are able to reacht he people above the devs can you please find out if they have any plans for CH because the devs obviously dont care to give us any direct feedback and all Vert can tell us is that hes given them the list and they said they would get around to it. (Im not flaming Vert I know he want to see CH fixed as much as any of us)

you dont grasp the big picture here. this isnt just a problem for CH, its a problem for any player that owns a pet, droid,factionpet..... there is absolutely no fking reason that anyone should be able to call your pets away from you, its a bug, and its griefing in the plainest form possible.

as for being a CH, where it sounds like the only time you even have them out is to boost your missions, then your not a true CH and you should clearly fk off these boards. A true CH knows how to handle his pets in PVP or in PVE, they are not completely useless, have them stick an intimidate, dizzy, stun and a posture downon someone while your blasting them with your ranged weapons or pummelingthem melee styleis VERY effective, and with the removal of vitality loss for pets in or soon to be in, that will definately help CH's out.

as for pets in town, amazingly some CH's do role-play and will use a pet to enhance their role playing experience.

in closing, noone should get away with griefing another and ruining their time in game, its rude, its childish and shows their maturity.

I have grasped the big picture but as this is the CH forum we are addressing the CH problem and 99% of people who read this forum are CH.

Also if you read my post PROPERLY you will see that i said 'i only have pets out in town for better missions' as there is no other reason i would have them out in town so please don't try and judge people and make childish comments when you don't even know them.

If they "take griefing very seriously" then why are the Dev's and CSR's not doing something about it? This can happen anywhere, including combat, and is infringing on our right to fair gameplay.

So far no one is doing anything to the little jerks who are doing the griefing.

That's well and good, you do things your way, I'll do things mine. I normally ride my Brackaset instead of a swoop, it's easier for me if it's just short runs. And usually I will leave him outside the cantina at theeds or what not if I'm going inside for a minute. (granted the big bugger follows me in a lot. ) but the fact is, it don't matter if you are doing it for missions, if you are doing it for roleplay, or whatever, greifing is greifing, and something should be done about it. That's my thoughts on it.
