Nope, won't sign off on something like this.
Rare means RARE. We've been spoiled as CHs due to two things that are pretty much the result of the infancy of the game: A limited number of types of tamable pets and the ease with which you could find any of the availables. The devs are starting to correct that situation by expanding the number of pets available to us and putting a few rare nuggets out there for us to run across. We're too used to saying "I want a Rancor" then being able to go straight to Dathomir and taming one. It was as easy as shopping for toothpaste at Target. A bull rancor baby is rare, it should stay rare and we need to adjust to the idea that not every creature we want to tame is going to be immediately available to us at will.

SPOILED? SPOILED?!?! HOW THE HECK WERE WE SPOILED?
What, the fact our pets are even more useless now?
That CH has all of a sudden just became more of a collectable profession where we use our pets just for show? Oh great, how long you think that will last? The rareness is absurd, not including the fact that we are VERY limited on the rare creatures we can tame.
I'm sorry, I was even excited about all the NEW rare creatures that's suppose to be UBER, but when it was put into action, it became more of a flop. Our range and special don't work right at all (having to do a stinking macro for it and takes about 5 seconds for it to go through is absurd).
1) Yes, SPOILED. Examples: crying becuase they nerfed our pets down to a reasonable power level after we all got used to being uber pretty effortlessly. Crying because you can't go out and get the pet you want in under an hour. Taming a Graul Mauler was like shopping for milk at the grocery store. If you wanted one, it took no effort to get one. Now it takes a little more effort to find an uncommon pet. Effort = challenge = reward = fun.
2) Ch hasn't been turned into a collectables profession, it's been turned into a profession that is more in line with other combat capable professions. I'm sorry if you occassionaly get incapped because your pets aren't indestructable like they were.
3) As a master CH, I followed the discussion leading up to the reballancing of our profession very closely and never at any point did TH or any other SOE reps say that rare pets would be uber pets. If you want to tame an uber pet, call a BE. If you want a truly rare wild pet, keep looking, but don't hunt for it expecting it to be the neutron bomb of tamable pets because no one has given you any reason to believe that it should be.

Sorry I don't see myself being spoiled. I'm being pretty patient especially when the cmds we have are broken. I've been all for the distributions on the skills to prevent all the dabblings. I was all for the rare pets and how they redistributed the stats to balance it more. I was all for the killer new cmds we would get to compensate for the nerfs on the creatures. But how is it balancing when you have someone that's just a Novice TKA that can take down a rancor? A pet that only a Master CH is supposedly able to control (unless you wear some BE clothings) that can get demolished in a minute..
So yeah I have a right to speak out about it. ^_^
Also want to include that we NEED MORE RARE pets... thanks.

I have pretty much stopped caring about this whole load of BS. CH's were nerfed to thin the population for the sake of the community. That's pretty much the main reason. We will be this way for sometime because the devs won't start the CH hate again so soon until far down the road when we are forgotten. Then we will probably get a power boost. Until then, don't expect much...

if they increase there spawn wouldnt be much of a challenge, i say keep them rare
Challenge? Im on Lair 135 with No site. Thats not a Challenge, it is just boring. A Challenge would be 3 Lairs attempted, 135 Deaths later no Baby. Not 135 Lairs * 3 spawns per Lair and 0 Deaths, that is just rediculus.

srew uber rare whats te fun of it if it takes you 3 months to find it?
goldenstar![]()
Up to lair 196,
I even had help tonight taking out lair after and nothing.![]()
I have recieved mixed feelings about the Bull Rancor petition and find that those who are actually out hunting the Bulls such as Tivo and Wabit signed. How many lairs must I take down before I get one.Howlucky must I be.
I respect all your oppinons whether you support me or not on this petition.

clinique wrote:/dont sign...If they made them easier to find everyone would have one. Its like jedi..if that made it easy to achieve everyone would be one and you would have little excitement when you saw one. Just ask a BE to make you a high level one and you can name it BullRancor...BE's make better pets if you find the right one.
You can throw that jedi thing out the window, you have a better chance at a Jedi slot then you do finding a rare pet like a bull rancor.
Why do I say this? Because at least with the holo grinding, you know what you have to do to get one. The bull rancor thing is nothing but pure luck. 50+ jedi's on our server, and I don't think there's even 1 bull rancor baby on our server yet. How can you compare a jedi to the rarity of our pets when that's thrown out the window?
The best way to go about rare pet hunting, is to quite simply stop spending every waking hour looking for them.
As mad as this may seem.
Just go to what ever planet there on, have some fun, hunt with friends.
And keep an eye open for bull rancor lairs (or what ever your after)and tap em as you fly by.
That way you can still enjoy the game and you have as much chance of finding a rare as somone that has done 200+ bull rancor mishions.
Come on guys keep this thread going. I would like to know how many lairs the people who disagree with me have actually done because if you have done over 200 like I have you would look at this spawn rate differently.
