droidb, why do u put the blame on jedi for your situation? does every failure of this game relate to jedi...is that the easy way to say, "well the devs wont read this but if i blame jedi they will?" you know jedi watched you just like every other proffesion...why not blame artisans, they dont get much battle fatigue so they must not have tipped u alot because they rarely need you.

this is why because artisans didnt hologrind or fs grind thru dancer or require mind buffs 24/7 on demand where they want them the start of jedi aka holocrons led to afkbotts which led to the whole viscious cycle of disprespecting entertainers and seeing them as worthless also it's the jedi and other leet ocmbat dudes who see us a a useless time sink most hybred crafter combat folk dont mind having to get bf healed they realize theres more to life than 24/7 combat and there are other people in the game.

Entertainer disrespect began at launch, which, as you may remember, was before anyone kew how to unlock Jedi. Any day one entertainer veteran will remember these words: "What are you gonna do about it?". We didn't get respect because we couldn't fight back. Period.

Now you want to go ahead and descriminate against Jedi for that poor excuse for a reason, you can take it up with me, 'cause I'm a Jedi, and I didn't AFK my way through ANY profession to achieve it.

Therefore, when you judge an entire class of people that you don't know over somthing they may or may not have done, you just rethink it 'cause now you're stepping on MY toes.

i didnt mean all jedi but yes they are one of thee major factorsi n this isssue

and yes there were some akers beofre hologrind however at least on my server none of them spammed non of them danced in the middle of th dance floor and there was never more than 2 in any cantina ever.

also yes dancers have always been disrespected some as have all players by morons however i was reffering to the widespread disrespect that came with hologrinding and if you didnt see it you were blind.

preholo if someone disrepected a dancer other players stood up for them and did sometihng about ti postholo few to none cared and the number of people who care is getting smaller and smaller so if you odnt see problem go on with your rose coloured classes thinking everything is ok and props are the greatest ill be in second life im not giving anymore money to a company who doesnt give a rats a$s about the people who play there game

Not being a no0b I tried both of those things.

There were no crafters that I could find, and I don't know if it's a stealth nerf or a bug, but when I went novice artisan, I did not get the novice tools (the generic crafting tool and the mineral survey tool)

It all worked out in the ends 'cause I was able to make tools for the other dancers in the band so it was kool!

My point is if the system was working the way they envisioned it on pencil and paper, I wouldn't have had to go that far.

That first statement is ourtight rude, especially consideirng Shi'ann was honestly trying to help you.

um... I'm sorry, I was trying to be playfull... I apologize if it came out any other way.

As far as the original plan for the game, yah it was a great plan, but it failed miserably. Let me give you an example: Yesterday, upon signing in I wanted to make some props. But I had no basic crafting tool. So I had to spend the next two hours messing around trying to find a

BASIC CRAFTING TOOL, In real life, where other peoplemakeeverything, like they wanted for SWG, I can go to my local store and get a hammer, chisel and tweezers for about 15 dollars. In SWG, I had to run around for two hours from shop to shop, and ended up paying 50,000 credits for a basic tool, and about 700k for materials because no one sells it in small amounts anymore.

The difference is players in SWG don't have children and mortages and credit card debt in game, so they can charge stupid prices for things and if it doesn't sell, oh well, they can go out and do something fun anyway. In real life all the boring crap that we take for grated is done by someone who, given the choice, would MUCH rather be out doing something fun.

The idea of a player driven world can only work with an economical cap, and actual repercussions for failure to perform one's duties. And if they did that, the game would be less and less fun for everyone.

Not sure if you know about this since you say you ran from shop to shop for 2 hours... but if you use "search by vendor location" and then "search entire galaxy" you can get a listing of all the registered vendors and then tailor your search as you normally would on the bazaar terminal. It saves a lot of foot time going from shop to shop and helps you find the best prices being offered. Also, don't know about your server but most artisans I work with who are selling resources will be happy to split off smaller amounts. You just have to ask them since on their vendor they are going to be in large stacks because their primary customer base is looking for large stacks. But the global vendor search is a definite time saver. I used to get so frustrated shuttling all over the place only to find the vendor empty or stocked with a looted mangy vest or something equally vile.

Leavng out the fact that I just forgot about the vedor search (hey, old habits die hard!), that's still my point. If the game worked like they intended, as a player built world, all that stil wouldn't be nessecarry.

I know most sellers are willing to sell in smaller amounts, but none were one. I know I could have gotten a tool from ny crafter, but none were on. There are a huindred little things that I could have done that would have made it so mush easier, exept that the DEVs have put so much emphasis onrunning around killing monsters that the 'world' part of their player driven world is falling apart (I'm not talking about the CU, I'm talking about how things have been from launch).

It may well not be the root of the problem, but the hologrind and wild eyes lust for Jedi status at the expense of all else certainly excacerbated the issue.

Simply put, the real problem lies in the fact that the professions CAN BE mastered completly AFK.

Some people are weak, they will always choose the easy road, or take the easy way out.The only way to fix the AFK problem is to remove the AFK ability from Entertaining...
